    The wife and I finally got our XR up and running over the weekend. I had some hesitation with some of the design choices (*cough* gantry *cough*) but we fired it up and it cut square and feature sizes were within .002". We're very impressed.

    Very nice. Thanks for sharing. I didn’t realize that kind of equipment was available at those price points. Definitely accessible to the serious hobbyist or startup shop.

    Killer stuff! That small plasma sure would be something i'd buy.

    Cool to hear Langmuir is under Shopsabre. Building out my first shop this year and the XR table is planned if the funds are there.

    Just go done putting the crossfire pro together, so far it is awesome and super simple to assemble. One day ill have a shop saber sidekick 8. Just got an email from langmuir about their new cnc press brake coming out then i see this lol.

    That price makes it really hard to justify building a plasma table yourself at that size. The sheer time savings of that unit vs DIY build/debugging makes it worthwhile even after shipping cost.

      I've had the Langmuir Systems Crossfire Pro for a few years now and I've been pretty happy with it, made a bunch of stuff.

    I like that MR1, the only down fall I see is Z height. With the limited Z height you really have to take into count the tool height & tool holding. If it were higher I’d have one.

    I’m confused. Is this before or after the previous video of this? Or was that even a different show? I keep saying I’m going to go to the shows, but rarely do.

      This is just a shorty video of my conversation with Brandon, going over all the things in their booth for the weekend. If you watched the live streams, you already saw most of this. Just trying to get content out while PRI is fresh in peoples heads! Cheers yall - Tay

      @melgross Před 8 měsíci

      The company has been marketing it as cutting something like 30 pounds per hour, I think it is. I don’t know, it looks like a pretty light duty machine to me. Lots of chatter in the Ad videos on what looks like aluminum.

      @melgross Před 8 měsíci

      @@rmkensington don’t be too gullible about these ratings companies. 30 pounds of steel, they actually said, per hour, is a lot of metal. If you actually look at this machine, it’s made of relatively small diameter slideways. This just isn’t that rigid. And you can tell but the light weight. Nobody here is a hater, but their Ads are somewhat deceptive.

      True, but you could use any of these machines to also do work for others and the machine pay for themselves instead of paying someone else's overhead expenses.

      When you live on the other side of the planet that doesn't work, the world is not the lower 48. That said I have a small CNC Plasma, mill and Lathe but I also still get jobs done by external businesses when it makes sense.
