Well, I was using a 2.5 amp hour-80 volt lithium battery by Kobalt. It's so fast, I was even passing cyclists on those race bikes. But that power is so short lived. Hey man just wanted to ask you did you reach 17.2 mph going down hill or on a flat surface
Sidewalk I did the test on had some peaks and valleys, but I hit 16-17 a lot.
Kachi's Kid thanks for answering my question because I ordered it and I wanted to see how fast it is
No problem. Just so you know, I'm not that heavy. 6'2" 170lbs.
@@kachiskid how do u get you’re to get so fast?
@@jaydenyoon5022 Overfilled tires, and was brand new.
Dosent the glx v2 have the logo on the front
They might have updated them, but not at the time of purchase.
hey so i recently got this scooter and im just wondering mine only goes up to 15.5 miles per hour but in this video i saw it went to 17 miles so i was just wondering how do u make it go more then 15 miles
Make sure that your tires are over filled...70PSI. I was also on a curvy sidewalk.
Mine jumps from 14.7 to 15.5 constantly but does not exceed 15.5.
-i've just passed by a police radar that clocks me in at only 12mph. Numbers can be deceiving...
@@kachiskid ive only gotten to 17.4 mph down a hill while on cruise (no throttle)
@@jlovee2211 I have yet to do a downhill run. Mine was down for a year because the battery was garbage.
Wow
Lol.
Not sure how your getting that speed. But that's allsome to say the least. Just curious how much do you weigh and what was the temperature when you did video. Thanks and keep em coming
Thank you bro....6'2" 170lbs....the day was honestly, 98-100 degrees....running on a swivel sidewalk...tires 70+ PSI.
@@kachiskid glad I was able to help you bro
If you get one before me can you do a video. 😎 I'm on Mn. Which makes things more challenging
@@johnblaws8133 Oh no bro, that's all you. I have moved on and trying to get another electric skateboard. I'll be interested to see the video. You can't beat that price.
Take the limiter off typically just a cord on the power module this lets the batteries full power hit the motor at once 😊
does gotrax ship to canada?
Yes they do, or you can get it at Walmart.
HOW DID YOU GET 17 MPH!? mine only goes 15.5
Which it should. 15mph is what was promised by the company. I was riding a flat sidewalk in Florida.
Use a valve extension for the air valve
Yeah, good idea, the tire is holding the air pretty good.
What's the longest it will last and how do you clean it ??
czcams.com/video/8aEbETk7rfo/video.html You can use warm soap and water.
@@kachiskid what’s the longest it’s going for like a few months
Mine lasted about a year. I need to buy a new battery, but that money went to my new scooter. Plus they have an awful review rating on backup battery on their website.
Would you recommend this for a beginner who's around 215 and on budget?
Yup, it will be a bunch of fun. Max weight is 220. The battery will need to be replaced at some point though.
@@kachiskid I just purchased one as well we speak because of your videos. :)
@@scootamayne610Well I hope you won't be disappointed. Take it easy on it. Start on mode 1 until your ready to kick it up.
@@kachiskid definitely will, I was reading the reviews on it so that's what had me a little worried about it, but I'll see for my own experiences with it. Can't go off by what someone else said.

How urs go 17 and go 15?
Early versions were better.
"I want everyone to be careful because the back break is really touchy and I have seen people go over the handle bars." Uh... I don't think that is how it works????😄🤣🤣
Been a while since I saw this video but I will agree with you, that ain't how it works at all...lol.
@@kachiskid so were you just straight cappin when you said that you saw people go over the handlebars?
@@miclnoman8667 No, actually I've have seen 2 people fall while breaking. You just have to be prepared like anything else your breaking while standing on it. My new skateboards breaks are cray cray, 4 different settings, all of them dangerous.
Just got one and. Even charging it more than 2 hours each day and I never get past two bars charging ..I’m lost
Yeah, I think the product is in decline. They want you to pay more for the upgraded version. Not a big fan of this company.
@@kachiskid yeah it says when it fully Charged the charger will be green ….mine is always green and it’s only two bars …soon as I plug it in the wall it’s lit up green I’m lost
@@BeeReaves1 Send that sucker back. My neighbor has a Hover-1 Alpha, fast and is still working.
@@kachiskid so should I turn the scooter off when pluggin it in…actual let it sit for 4 hours and see? Cause no matter how long I charge it I always see two bars
@@BeeReaves1 Yeah I would turn it off to charge. The bars might be incorrect. Ride for a short distance (up and down the block) see how many miles you can get before it cuts off. If under 5 miles, send it back.
Whats your weight
165-170 lbs.
How big are you?? I’m 6ft 225.. would I fit?
I'm 6'2" 172 lbs. It will be no problem on flat ground. Up hills it will run a little slower.
The limit is 220
Which low cost scooter is at the same standards as this one?
I wouldn't go cheaper than this.
Maybe the hover 1 dynamo that came out recently. You can pick up at Walmart or Best buy.
Hover 1 Dynamo at Walmart and best buy to answer you question Sir
Can't go wrong with a swagger 5 that's for sure
@@johnblaws8133 Yeah I looked at the Swagger5 before I bought mine...at the time they had a problem with not going the distance it stated.
How you get it to go 17.4 mph

This or the Swagtron Swagger 5? I like that the Swagtron has the app and phone holder and supports 100lbs more (even though I only weigh 130lb). But I've been seeing the range is better on the Gotrax.
Same thought I had when I was looking. The Swagtron has to many logo's, and the distance is shockingly bad.
swagger trash
How do u go 17 mph I can only go 15
I think side walk love. Maybe had some dips.
The front tire is suppose to be like that with the putting air in it design there was a black straw thing that came with it in the box you hook up to your compressor and scooter just FYI didn’t know if you knew that
Oh yeah, maybe I should have showed the process but I used the black extension.
@@kachiskid did it work? Because it always worked for me but I got rid of mine because the fender was super fragile and broke off and tire went flat

I know Mine used to go up to 20 mph, but then I fell of It and it broke. So I got a new head and they all stopped at 15! It's like a lock or something. I have gotten 5 new heads and they all do the same thing. Its soooo annoying

Ya my gxl v2 stops throttle at 15.5 mph like as advertised. sure I can coast down hills 25mph but the throttle is cut off. You will notice that if you go down a hill and then there is up hill after that because it will drop to about 12-13 mph until the throttle kicks back on.
