The DRIVER side is worst part, wdym. Lol The passenger side is far less common to make contact with the frame, but does OCCASIONALLY happen. I had to dent in TWO whole ass collector tubes, the front most driver side ones, to clear the steering coupler…. Not to mention you can force the long tube headers up w/o taking out the steering coupler (I didn’t wanna risk the steering wheel and clockspring, etc. not lining up). It was a royal PITA to constantly hammer the headers back out and down to re-hammer them more than a few times, to “perfection”. You get what you pay for….. I did get a pair of 3” universal high flow cats, bc I didn’t wanna run those cheap nasty test pipes. They do good, and help quiet the exhaust down a bit, esp if you have a whole catback exhaust or even an axleback or muffler delete.
hey bro can you please tell me the exact heat boots you used for these headers. i bought some for my NGK wires that ima put on my longtube headers but the boot didn’t fit they were too tight. if you could let me know the company or even the link that would be great thank you.
You can use any universal high flow cat. Just get a pair of 3” universal ones, that are around 11-11.25” overall length. The 3” cats don’t have o2 bungs, so that’s the only downside…. I tried to fit a pair of the universal 2.5” high flow cats, but the adapters to make them fit, ended up angling the headers a weird way, that prevented them from being able to be bolted up properly….. Anyways, with the pair of 3” universal cats, just run a lap joint clamp to the front of the cat to the header, and then a 3-2.5” connector adapter. I kept the stock downpipe clamps to use on my Borla Atak catback, and they work perfectly. The 3-2.5” reducer adapter should be for 3” OD, 2.5” ID, I believe….
I just bought some for my 2011 5th gen, I can’t wait to put em on
That LS sounding good boi!! That's how it's supposed to sound. 👍

Man props to you for installing them all by yourself man 😂 I remember the passenger side kicking my ass
Thanks bro and that’s crazy my passenger side was a piece of cake. The manifolds dropped right out and the headers slid right in.

Nice work
Thanks 🙏🏾
Sounds good bro did you get a drone noise after the install in your exhaust?
It’s loud but not extreme

I got them from Amazon but I eventually switched to the GPI wires cause they curve away from the headers and don’t touch at all.
Nice vid, what kind/brand of slip on cat did you use? Did it help with exhaust fumes smell.
Thanks, and I don’t have cats at all. Just a connection pipe.

Did you have to bend any of the pipes to fit? I mite pull the trigger on these real soon. Priced at $ 319 ain’t bad
No you don’t but the passenger header will sit on the frame and make some vibrations inside the car but other than that no
What muffler are you using and where did u order the headers
No mufflers bro 100% straight pipe…..no mufflers, no cats, no resonators, with a X pipe…
Yo what upp ,You need the o2 cable extensions?? where can i buy if so ?
They should come with your headers
Did u delete your secondary 02 sensor?😊
Yes I don’t have cats
What kind of x pipe connects to the headers or what x pipe do you own
Speed engineers 1/78 headers, no resonators, no cats, x pipe and muffler delete
Did you buy the speed engineering spark plugs or just used the OEM ones?
Factory AC Delco spark plugs
Do you have to get new spark plug wires?
I eventually replaced them
@@ls3tee what do you do with the original rear o2 censor the stock ones have
Do u have cats??
No 100% straight pipe
Where do you get the pipe extension to your headers?
They came with my headers
