- In this video, we will be installing long tube headers on my cammed 5.3 Silverado. Long tube headers are a popular modification for performance enthusiasts looking to increase horsepower and torque. They improve exhaust flow by reducing restrictions, which can lead to a noticeable improvement in performance. Next up will be a full length exhaust system to finish it out and quiet it down.

This reminds me when I had a 1986 El Camino I changed my headers out to Hedman headers it was that loud too loved it and I heard that chop going on your truck just WOW

That was cool man! I have a 2009 Silverado 1500 and had a lifter collapse a 193k miles. Ended up putting a crate motor in it with the DOD delete. Those headers are sweet man!! Good vid 👍🏻

Yeah I need to regear, the 3.73s with the 35s are doggy. Hoping to swap in 4.56 or 4.88 soon

Gotta love the sound of American V8’s! I grew up in the muscle car era….409’s, Road Runners, GTOs, Vettes, Cobras, etc. etc. I love my Porsche Boxster S V6 330 hp and 3000 lbs. But I still miss that hefty sound!

Speed engineering makes some pretty good quality stuff. I've been looking at getting a set for my 11 z71 but I just bought a 79 k20 so I guess the headers will have to wait lol

I put long tubes on my 2017 Silverado. I also had a Whipple Supercharger on it. I had to take them off, I couldn’t get in quiet enough. I tried borla and corsa touring cat back. It woke my whole neighborhood up every morning. Damn cold starts. Haha
Dynomax magnum mufflers would sound killer on it. I have 2010 chevy silverado 4x4 5.3 with the towing package. I want to do some engine upgrades. Sounds like a beast brother. 👍👍

Your gonna need to buy some spare starters for your truck. Long tubes cook starters unless you wrap the headers. You should get a borla atak muffler i have one on my 19 sierra 5.3 and it sounds badass

Nice setup. My dipstick broke off when I put headers on my Silverado I ran a screw into the part of the dipstick that was stuck in the block and then used a big flat screwdriver and a hammer to bang it out from underneath. Nice Monte and I like that SS poster

@@CrazyQuady I over boosted didn't realize it was turned way up on boost car shutdown didn't blow anything but the water pump and seals out of the turbo shot oil up through the intercooler pipes from turbo and shot oil into cold air intake
