      I couldn't even sleep up to 5 hours in a week , and all hope was lost.     After 5 months I finally overcame insomnia completely. What made me overcome insomia completely are the next couple of rules for yourself:
    1. NEVER look at the clock at night
    2. NEVER tell anyone you had a bad sleep, always tell you had the best sleep ever
    3. NEVER skip activities because you had a bad sleep
    4. NEVER panic when you can't sleep
    5. NEVER lay in your bed for more than 8 hours to compensate bad sleep
    6. NEVER let bad sleep be the reason you feel bad
    7. When you can't sleep, stop constantly looking for a solution for your insomnia (very important)
    8. Get a sleep schedule with max 8 hours of sleep and try to go to bed at the same time everynight.
    9. When you can't sleep the time goes by very slow. Always estimate your sleeping time with 1 extra hour, because time goes by way slower when you can't sleep
    10. Let go of the thought that you need 8 hours of sleep
    11. Live your life to the fullest and never let insomnia influence your day
    When I applied these rules I got rid of insomnia in about 7 days.

      "Don't panic if you can't sleep" - a very hard one. Thank you for the tips, I'll try these although I'm not sure I'll be able to apply all of them. For example "don't feel bad if you couldn't sleep" - easy said than done when you have headaches and lack of energy the whole day.😢

    If you can’t sleep wake up, read a book for like 15-20 min then go back to bed, it worked for me.Thank God I was able to overcome this vicious cycle

    Very informative video. For better sleep reduce negative thoughts and overthinking. Keep life simple by avoiding negative social media, stop comparing your life with others and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind]. To relax and for better sleep sit on a chair or lie down especially before sleep, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath anywhere-anytime even if you wake up mid-night. Make this a daily habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

    I’m not really stressed or anything. I just can’t sleep at all.

      im the same, for absolutey no reason i can't sleep for days on end. i didnt sleep for 5 days straight once and it felt like i was going absolutely insane. its exhausting wanting to sleep and being tired but not being able to. its been like this for over 2 years. only thing that seemed to help me is weed. i get high and boom im put right to sleep, it might be tempting to stay up and enjoy ur high so its important to remember its for sleep purposes only, if ur the type of person that likes sound to sleep i recommend noise, (brown noise, pink noise, green noise) these mimic fan type sounds which im a huge fan of or u can even try aquatic sounds like soft lake sounds or rain; just dont let me it be distracting. i used to put on netflix to fall asleep, every single day and never turn it off which keeps ur brain awake and it was one of the reasons that changed my sleep, the little things matter. lights have to be off so that your brain is trained that its bedtime, and it can identify the difference between morning and night. dont drink anything before bed, its more likely you wake up to pee so just dont do it. ur temperature also matters, is it too cold? too hot? same with the comfort of your bed or wherever your sleeping, u shouldnt be uncomfortable in where u sleep, u should enjoy ur sheets and blankets. i know this sounds really stupid and extra but it somewhat helped for me, im not saying it will cure ur insomnia but youll definitely see a change in sleep, its also important to keep a routine. it doesnt matter if u only got one hour of sleep, u better be waking up at that 9am alarm and not take naps even if ur extremely tired, u only sleep at night. take what i said however u want im just trying to help, best of luck!

      Earlier I had same issue.. i started using homeopathy medication which is safe(no side effects) now feeling bit better
      Instead of 4 hours daily, now sleeping 6 to7 hours. Little relaxed

    i have no depression, no stress, good physical health, no drug/alchol problems, don't drink coffee/caffine, have regular times to go to bed and STILL i can't sleep for.more than 2 hours per night since the past 3 weeks. only thing is i moved to a different continent. how is this possible?

    I have an unhealthy anxiety related problem with sleep and work. I work such long shifts (12 hrs) days/nights which vary so it’s hard to get a routine. I just had over 2 weeks off and my sleeping was amazing, but the very night before returning to work I got 0 sleep just from worrying about getting enough sleep for work the next day, this has snowballed throughout the week. Staring down the barrel of a 12 hour shift on little or no sleep day after day feels worse than being in prison.

      @@berealcoaching.byheidiyeah it’s tough not having a consistent routine sometimes it’s manageable but every so often i’ll have rough patches some weeks. Recently tried melatonin and that helps but with anything your tolerance will increase the more you take it so it’s only really effective for a few days. Also makes me feel massively fatigued/groggy the day after

      @brandonstott3841 I have heard your same experience with a lot of people with taking melatonin. That is super frustrating I’m sure, as sleep effects so many systems in our body. I have found that a few different essential oils and other non-addictive botanical based supplements really help me get to sleep, stay asleep and don’t cause grogginess the next day. Speaking of, I need to go put them on now! 😴💤

    Sleeplessness is not connected to negative thoughts or over thinking.
    What did magic to me I stopped using chemical products including any antibiotics. It brings a calming effect on the body. Previously I used to wake up by 2am or 4 & then couldn't sleep however I try.
    Sometimes the remedy is very simple & we keep on searching for complicated options. All the answers are within you.

    Nice video. Reduce over thinking for better sleep. Be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15 minutes or more. You can sit or lay down--eyes closed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Never meditate with expectations. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath day and night before sleep even if you wake up at mid-night, at work, when travelling, taking a walk, etc with eyes open or closed.     The true insomnia is not coming from depression,... it come from the overarching fear of what if I do not fall asleep. What if I do not sleep that causes the stress that keeps you awake. When I say true insomnia it mean not sleeping for years... even if your sadness is better.

    I have read somewhere that meditation is not good for insomniacs as it keeps your body still while your nervous system is overloaded and can confirm that I didn't get good results from meditation. I recommend taking ashwaganda or moringa supplements, it helped a lot to have better sleep but I'm still panicking before certain events. You can also try somatic exercises for trauma release and emotions regulation, it might be that you're stuck in a trauma experience and that's why you can't relax

    15 min. Nap after meal, after lunch time helps insominia during in the middle of the night. 👍 also skip dinner, just drink water & no cell phone at all time during sleeping hours.

    One possibility that you may wake up during the night may be the fact that your bowels, especially the large intestine, will be overcrowded with waste and often this one will be found as very unpleasant. In this case it will be the best to take 1 tablespoon (= 15 ml) castor oil - 1 to 2 hours later the bowel movement will begin and you will be able to continue your sleep.

    I was having 5-6 hours of sleep (interrupted but not that bad) few days ago but last night, I had 2 hours of sleep. I freaked out and felt anxiety. Prior to that, I had spicy food that made my body felt so warm or having hot flashes (I’m a male). What I going to do now is to limit my screen time, limit afternoon naps and avoid spicy foody. Let’s see.

When the recitation ends , open eyes , take half a glass of water. Again close your eyes and say NAME OF GOD or your name(If you are a atheist) thrice in your heart & drink water in 3 sips. Take water this way every time after listening to the recitation.

    I have never been a big sleeper ,but it has gotten really out of hand lately . I am really worried about this and that doesn’t help either. I have asked for help from my general practicioner ,but the pills she gave me had a side effect and made my kidneys ache so I stopped using them . I am really helpless at this point . I haven’t had more than 2 hours sleep for months . I can funcion and turn up to work ,but Im worried about my health . The only thing helps a little if I knock myself out with alcohol ,but I don’t really want to do that . I pretty much do everything that’s in this vodeo suggests and it just don’t seem to get better. I don’t know what else I could do at this point .

    my boyfriend is an insomnia patient even after taking medicines he will not sleep plzz tell me wht should i do for him so that he can sleep well ill try to distress him but there worries are genuine due to family matters i feel so hlpless ..plz pray for him he is so sensitve even though he is a clinical psychologist which cause more troubles

    Was on medication for sleep which worked well. Now doctors have cut me off and my nights are filled with tossing and turning and no sleep at all. I haven't slept for weeks and I'm getting desperate. Mentally drained. Have tried so many things yet nothing works.

    I think the problem is that as we have problems in our lives and we may have goals that want to achieve and we know that we might not be working hard enough to achieve those goals and that make us frustrated. So let's start reading books because no everyone likes reading including myself but by doing that we might sleep well because we know we did something productive. I am going to that for the next 30 days and will let know what happens ❤. I wish the best to all

    My insomnia Started with progressively my sleep getting worse till I reached my sleepless nights in the first to second month sometimes they were continuing for days and would fall asleep from fatigue those were the worst days.Later on i started to get more consistently. 4-5 sometimes even 6 hours of sleep and thought that I eventually would get rid of it but again these days my sever insomni stroke again and im sleeping one day and the next day staying up awake all night and this vicious cycle is repeating this is just awful for me

      @@Nature_Food_Travel392 yea I have anxiety and to be exact health anxiety.I a mild tension headache for over 1 month and was telling myself that I have BRAIN TUMOR 💀✋.Today i barely feel that tension headache.So for the last month I'd google everyday for symptoms and be fearfull of my health everyday.So this got my insomnia to relapse but in a muchh milder form compared to those times that i made that comment.

      I had the same issue , couldn't sleep 2 days in a row and that's the worst.. what helped me is. Go for walks, gym, in your bedroom, open the windows during the day to get fresh air. Then what helped me the most is, Ashwagandha!!! Its a miracle after I started taking it
      This can be bought on amazon and make sure to buy the ksm 66 form Ashwagandha. Its a natural root that's been used for so many years.for sleep disorders anxiety stress.. I hope this helps

      @@FireJane any decent quality cannabis would be fine. Ppl reccomend indica b/c they don't comprehend how decarboxylation works.
      Just make sure to decarboxylate the oil or it won't work. Even some of the biggest brands don't decarboxylate properly imho.

Avoid comparing yourself with others, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15 minutes or more. You can sit or lay down--eyes closed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Never meditate with expectations. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath day and night before sleep even if you wake up at mid-night, at work, when travelling, taking a walk, etc with eyes open or closed.     I have severe insomnia and all prescribed sleeping pills doesnt work for me anymore. I cried at night and prayed so hard to God to please let me sleep. I need to wake up at 5:25am everyday but I only have if lucky 2 hrs sleep. I am so desperate for help and I think I will die sooner if I cannot find a cure or help. Please pray for me. Thank you

    Guys please help me I have gone 4 days straight with zero sleep at all due to a excruciating pain but with recent exercise I have defeated it now how can I get back to sleep. This pain defeated melatonin 10mg, Tylenol pm max strength (slept only 1/2 hours surprisingly), and advil… shall I run melatonin again and maybe this time with no pain I’ll sleep or shall I not take anything at all and just be active as much as possible.

    I have anxiety and stress but never disturbed my sleeping schedule but from 2 weeks I can't sleep whole night than I feel very sleepy though out the day !!!! I try to sleep early but I just couldn't feel sleepy also I'm having weird food carving!!! Before I never use to feel hungry after eating dinner but during this 2 weeks I'm feeling hungry too !!!!
    I don't drink coffee!!! I also eat healthy food not junk food!!! I do stretchs too .. I just wouldn't understand what's the problem
