I like that not only did RTD not attempt to retcon the Timeless Child and Flux out of existence, he had the Doctor deal with what it did to him emotionally
I am glad he didn't do it just yet. I didn't like the Timeless Child/Flux but it's the doctors story and if it is to be changed, give it some time to settle. I mean, Chibnil is his mate and if he barely out the door. I'd question my friendship if my friend changed my legacy right after I left!

The story is a lot of fun, but the highlight is absolutely the chemistry between Tennant and Sheen. Second highlight is the way Tennant walks. Just trust me, you will become OBSESSED with watching him walk. It’s like he’s seducing the air around him.

So many times during this episode, I held my breath, but also laughed and had to hold my heart for the emotions, and then I see the same happening to you. I watched this episode with my kids and son-in-law, the next one will be them again, but also my daughter's boss, who is a massive fan of Doctor Who, so she put her Donna shoes on and asked if he wanted to watch it with a bunch of other Whovians and he never had that experiance so accepted with glee. And my best friend since I was 12, turned her into an Whovian 10 years ago and she also is comming over to see it. We'll be with 9 in total to watch that 'finale' so making 'Whovian snacks' for that occation. Though the 'Sliced Sontarans who died for the glory of the Sontaran Empire' will be on the card next to the tray with salted chips, that one will be easy to make.
One of my daughters think, because of Chibnall's era, the Doctor is the one who will 'create' Galiffrey and the Timelords, but I got lost in her explaination on how this will happen. But she has no problem if she's wrong in her thouht, headcanons are just small plessures of the mind, they don't have to be real.
About all the hate towards the apparently massive wokeness (pretty sure they are overreacting) those 'fans' miss out on one heck of a story, so much fun, so much angst, so much everything we get.
When I watch older tv shows, comedy shows, I somethings think, this wouldn't be possible anymore in these days, and I think that's good, most of us do know better, especially sci-fi shows lend themselves easly to be very possitive towards being open minded, that's just plain logic.
But I can also watch those shows and still enjoy them, because I know they were made in a different time frame, I understand that too. No need to boycot them just for a few things that we never would do now. (ending my essay on wokeness here on this note).
Also, I believe we probably have to wait years and years before we get Charlie's reaction to this. * sigh * But looking forward to his finale, soon, when you've catched him. Please ask him to do this as a Christmas gift 'for the fans' .... XD
Love a Doctor Who watch party, saw the 50th anniversary at a packed cinema and then headed back to mione for a Who piss up!

As a Doctor Who fan, his reactions with his brother Charlie are the best. At the beginning, Charlie is a bit timide, but the latter episode's, he's speaking his mind loud and clear and above all, the banter between the brothers is gold.

I started watching Dr Who in 1980 as a four year old sneaking out of bed and hiding behind my mom's recliner. While Tom Baker will always be my favorite Doctor, Tate/Tennant as a combination rivals my love for the fourth Doctor. I love Donna Noble. I love Rose Noble and I love that Rose's family lovers her as she is. I especially love that Rose is played by a trans actress.
This episode, though, creeped me right tf out. Uncanny valley is my least favorite horror😂

This episode was great, really leant into the fear of the unknown and randomness and I appreciate it. Hopefully more great episodes to come with Ncuti!
