Note For The Discussion: I have since learned that Bernard Cribbins won't be appearing in the next episode since the scene here was all they were able to film. I touch on it a little just at the start of the discussion so I wanted to pin this before everyone corrects it. It was great to see him one last time! Absolute legend!

For some reason I find Jimbo so endearing… like it has no character or personality, but I love it

It reminded me a bit of the robot in the anime 'Laputa: Castle in the Sky'. It had very long arms, though.

The "my arms are too long" gave me "hey who turned out the lights" vibes... also the 360 rotating wall was very "Curse Of Fatal Death" (Say hello.... to the sofa of reasonable comfort) :D

Based on the scene in this episode, I think the Flux is basically going to be this new era's equivalent of the Time War guilt Russell used in his first era except this time it's something that has happened on the show. If so that is kind of funny that Moffat used the 50th to basically undo that , and Russell uses something from Chibnall to create a new source of guilt during the 60th.

A fun, creepy episode. Lovely to get a little bit with Wilf. Now that you mention it, I could see 13 and Yaz in an episode like this as well, but IMO, Donna is given more characterization in this one episode than Chibnall gave Yaz in four years. I've always thought that Mandip Gill is a fine actress, but Yaz was (inexplicably) underwritten in terms of character development.

i think the reason i didnt like the timeless child and the flex was chibs never showed any emotion towards it, like it happened and 13 kept running around never really addressing how she felt about it. but this one episode and that one scene has enough emotion in it for me too feel like the story of it matters and i feel the doctor's pain. but never i feel that with 13.

And finally, I am caught up with your modern Who reactions. Cannot wait for the next one, and I have to say I imagine that it must be weird at times to see Doctor Who on Disney+ and have the show be a Live Reaction thing now instead of catching up.

Now i'm imagining this episode, but with 2 and Jamie, *and* with the effects from back then

I could actually see that. I can hear the musical sting as 2 and Jamie realize that isn't the other one. I can even see Troughton talking to the fake Jamie and getting that analytical 2 face but with some frustration over the situation.

Just call him the 14th Doctor that's what he is and it's just easier as much as I hate it that's what he is.

I agree it's weird how D+ is doing it. I have to manually search Movies for Doctor Who because it's not clear where they're being listed. They're not a LucasFilm, Fox, Disney animated feature, or anything specific. There's no category for Doctor Who inherently.
"It's probably on its way to work"
    Technically, yeah

Some Dr. Who fans are never happy their now complaining and become toxic at the moment about the casting of Isaac Newton because he's not white and not historically accurate.
I still prefer "The Star Beast" i think that one's the best as i'm a fan of the original 1979 marvel comic but "Wild Blue Yonder" was proper scary Dr. Who which i feel lacks sometimes i was scared for Donna when the ship exploded i thought she was done for.
Unfortunately this episode is the last ever appearance of Wilfred Mott they had a tribute to Bernard Cribbins right at the end credits of this episode.

When you have the casting director gaslighting people who disagree with the race change, it's hard to get on board with it. Especially when we all know they would never do the same thing to a minority historical figure. Double standards.
