    I’ve been using flexvolt batteries in 20 v tools for a couple years now. And I truly think it makes a difference. I rarely use a 20 v battery unless all my flexvolt batteries are dead. I wish dewalt would come out with more flexvolt tools they could kill the competition.

    I was born and raised on a corded Makita 7 1/4" right handed circular saw. They are a tank. I still have one today to remenisqu. However I'm mostly on Dewalt 20 volt battery now. My opinion; besides for charging my batteries, cords are a thing of the past for me. They are restrictive, they get muddy and dirty, more drag, get caught on things, ya gotta carry cords to power them, gotta have an outlet somewhere in the vicinity, and we always see the black electrical tape on them, because someone cuts right through the cord. No thanks. I'm all on battery now.
    Right handed is the way. It seems less dangerous as the blade is away from you, when standing by your wood the saw table is on the girth side and the scrap falls away, the saw dust does go away from you, and if you have a 2x whatever propped on top of your foot to cut, you dint get a sock full of itchy saw dust. I hate left handed saws.

      @georgedavall9449 Před 3 lety +1

      Amen Cody! Old timer once told me, long ago, “blade side, waste side.” I happen to use both right and left blade saws, depending on application. I see so many YT guys cutting with a left hand saw, and blade side is not on the cut side. It may be a personal thing, but IMHO the old timer was right! Besides, if you cut with a left hand saw, and put the cut side into the material, you have a small part of the base on the material. Harder to control and get a good cut that way! Makes no sense. Peace and work and stay safe!

    I've always used the right side cut that's what my father always had and that's what I'm used to Plus like you said you're not getting covered in sawdust it's being discharged out of the rear of the saw so the person holding the wood suffers and catches all the sawdust

    GOOD Review! I believe you summed it up well. Buy this if you mainly have 20 volt batteries. As Brian commented below, if a person has FlexVolt batteries already, or I would add, you can get a good deal on a kit, the actual 60 volt saw is the way to go! Just check out the baseplate for any warpage or unevenness, and the trueness of the blade to edge of base on those saws. I had to return one for these reasons, so FYI. And this pertains to any saw for that matter. Big Smeeesh on the Like button. Stay safe and healthy! Peace 👍🎃🇺🇸😁

    Dewalt did good on this circular saw you can hear the difference in comparison it seems like it's struggling just a bit with the regular 20 v battery but with the flexvolt it rips right through the MDF yeah you're correct then that is the deal I've used to tried and true skill saw brand and the only one I've noticed that goes to it like butter in my opinion is the worm drive the regular side winder not so much even if your RPMs are 5500 to 5800 on the industrial version and yes I've used one of them 20 years ago just as good as the Porter Cable version that they don't make anymore you know what I would love to see cuz they've already done it with the worm drive come out with a cordless sidewinder sort of again not many people remember that back when Bosch owned then the older skill brand had a cordless option full size
    It was okay but underpowered

I need something powerful to rip hardwoods and cordless. Since I have 36 volt hikoki batteries I may get the multi volt. Makita also brought out their 40 volt range. I believe the dewalt is a little more powerful than the hikoki multivolt . Anyway I like them all. We should not just stick to one platform. Oh and when you get your tools stolen hopefully not cleaned up you have something to fall back on.

    Nice channel brotha . For sure u have more power ,but u are destroying the metals inside of the tools ,and i dont think they will last long because too much rubbing :) over performance its not always good :)

    Just get flexvolt kits; since it gives you a fv battery and a magnesium shoe; i actually think the grey and yellow color scheme looks so much more premium than how the 20v line is yellow gray and black looks unbalanced

    Dewalt is ridiculous with all these different models of the same tool just to try and suck money out of you. Brushless, brushless xr, power detect, flex volt advantage, flex volt it's self. Don't see the point in these models, if you already got or want to run flex volt batteries you mine as well get the 60V tools and take full advantage of what the battery can offer.

      My Flexvolt 575 with the 6 amp battery is actually lighter than my heavy duty 1600 watt corded saw that I've been using for 30 years !!!!
