I've never seen this episode before but this scene is great, theres such a grounded nice feel to it. It's so funny how Homer acts like a child catching up to the truck, able to relate to the Ice Cream Guy and a funny little gag in there without ruining the entire scene. Reminds me of Seinfeld now that I think about.
Well the scene does cut there, but then the ice cream man has a heart attack and dies (so Homer takes over his truck I think?). The visual gag of his fellow ice cream men filling in his grave with giant ice cream scoops was quite good, I thought. Like another commenter said, probably better than what Family Guy would've done with it, where they would've shown the entire scene of him counting change.
“(Gasp) The ice cream man.” (Waves down) “HeY BuDdY yOU GoTtA lEt Me iN yOuR cAr AnD dRiVe mE To tHe NuClEaR pOwEr PlAnT-“ “T-t-take whatever you want, man, take it all!”
C'mon people, let's give our local ice cream trucks a break. This guy said that he's barely scraping by, that goes for all ice cream truck drivers in real life too. 😟🍦🍧🍨🚛
Honestly don't get the jokes. Is it that he is making change and quarters? Is it that the economy is bad and Homer just casually hands a $100 bill? Somebody explain why this is supposed to be funny please
"Bless you, boys."
"Homer, those are Ice Cream Men."
"I know."
A far funnier joke with much less setup
Homer has accidentally killed more people than sideshow Bob has.
Think about that
Am I hearing glass shattering? :O
That's because Bob kills on purpose
@@Shifsabreand he wants to kill only one person : Bart while Homer didn't want to kill someone.
How so?

sucks that homer kills the ice cream man from making him give him coin change for a hundred
The opening bits of the Simpsons are usually my favourite. Always enjoy how they can link a random scene to the rest of the plot of the episode.
If this was Family Guy, they would have dragged out the part where the old man is giving Homer his change.
Can’t say you’re wrong at that part
Our you gonna comment this on every video?
That would have been so funny!
If this joke actually ended where you cut it, it would be better than how it actually went down in the episode.

Mmm raspberry.
Lisa sighs
One of the best staged gags ever in tv history. How that scene leads to Lisa trying to defend her overweight father. Classic!
That frame at the end is just too wholesome 😭
what a nice ice cream man i sure hope nothing bad happens to him
This feels like a reference to Dexter's Laboratory
Oh well, that’s life! Now that’s 1, 2, 3…
@@Triforceman1 do you have change for 100$?
Uhm... no it isn't, why would this show reference an obscure moment from an episode from an older kids show. Barely anyway would get it
@@ToxicTurquoise454 Because Dexter's Laboratory was awesome
What a dickish thing for me to say! Dear God I hate myself from 2-3 years ago, I was such a miserable person.
I guess in later seasons Homer gained a disappearing tie
Boy, I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder!
His tie is a bit temperamental
Indeed, temporary disappearing is common with tempermental ties.
I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of magic tie or something?
But where did his tie go
The two types of UK working class
Change for 100 USd? Why not just pay for the ice cream in advance?
Hmmm....maybe that's what they're trying to get customers to do...
How come this channel didn't die but immakaiba (Yu-Gi-Oh) did?
$99.50...
Why do all your comment sections seem AI generated.
Because alot of foreign people drop short comments. Probably alot of kids too. I dunno

@@RobbyRaccoon Actually no I think it's just what @Eye Conqueror said lol. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be both.
He pulled that choco rocket from where? Just floating next to the drivers seat?
Got it ready when he saw Homer coming
Now don't try getting any funny ideas, he probably had a mini freezer in his truck.
This is a stable video 👍
Hi
Has anyone noticed in one shot homer has his polo shirt on and the other his shirt n tie
Hey yeah, how'd that happen ? 🤨
What is black, white and potatoes cooked that way?
An edible walking clock!
How many quarters will Homie get?
