These days it’s can feel like everyone is quick to say they don’t like something, but I like to use my time to let people know what I do like instead. A little positivity goes a long way sometimes. I love to see good people succeed, and you’re obviously a good man. I hope to see you become a staple in the community. I’m going to be 45 soon, and have been using a safety razor since I was 22. I was working in my favorite knife store and decided I needed to use one to be able to help costumers with questions from personal experience. I quickly realized how much better it is than cartridge razors. I always thought I just had sensitive skin, but one sharp blade & glycerin shaving soap made a huge difference. CZcams has been a great resource for me to learn some little tricks, like riding the cap, that really help. Needless to say, I am a huge believer that everyone should give the safety razor a shot. Next for me is the straight razor, something I have wanted to learn sense I was a kid who loved watching my barber give a great shave with a straight razor. I knew so many older gentleman who would come in on a Friday afternoon to get a shave because they were taking their wife out for dinner that evening had to know what they were doing. Great review. I ordered my Viking about 6 hours prior to watching this so my confidence is boosted that I made a good choice. Looking forward to shaving with it. Just got a chance to read the description of your channel and it sounds like you’ve got some good stuff coming down the pike. Did you know that the Bible has solutions to many of the topics you cover? It makes sense because God, creator of everything, who has intimate knowledge of people (which makes sense since He created us) didn’t just put us here without an instruction book. The most important thing the Bible tells us is that we can know for sure if we’re going to heaven. You see, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27 Since “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23, we’re all in big trouble on judgement day. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 That’s right, because He loves us He’s provided a way out (or UP). “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. This means Jesus paid our penalty by dying the death not that He deserves but that WE deserve. You see, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 And the only way to receive that gift is by believing what you just read. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Belief is like having faith. Thank you for this Used parker variant open comb? Now with your video i rolled out the progrss I have the r41 and merkur slant I am eying rockwell 6s, parker variant open comb and the viking suggested here I will get two razors What do u suggest and a bit feedback is appreciated
No the parker variant I used is closed comb and it is excellent, I tried an open comb, the Muhle R41. It was fine but even with more hair growth after 4 days of not shaving, the closed comb Parker Variant and Emperor Meiji (both adjustable closed combs) were smoother and caused less irritation/drag. Also, the Vikings Blade Chieftan (non-adjustable) is great. I havent tried the rockwell 6s but it has a 4.6 on Amazon which is a great rating. It has 6 settings for for an adjustable that is plenty. My only caution, it is a "top load" replacement. If you've worked with that before, you'll know its a pain and I cut myself during the trials of this video switching blades on the Merkur. This is why I love the Vikings Blade Meiji. The mechanism for changing blades is more intuitive and safer. I share this in the video, what do you think?
