I got tired of bumps and expense. I got a Feather all stainless. I wanted the cute box and stand.. I was put off by the price, but I heard if you get bumps easy get this.. so I did.. It's just so amazing. I have owned it 6 months now. No cuts and and no more ingrown hairs. I shave my legs and bikini area and it feels totally comfortable.
I can't believe something so simple is so perfect.
I would collect razors, but I figure why. I bet every other product will disappoint in comparison. I know going from cartridge to this is so superior. Particularly with the blades feather makes. However, voshkod is a close second.
the life of us men 👍
I have rewatched this video - what a fantastic job you have done explaining the nuances of your excellent selections - great work!!!
Thanks, DavidV.:) I really appreciate the kind words. :)
Excellent video, Mark and thank you for highlighting these wonderful razors!!!
My pleasure, Beth, and thank you for the nice words.:)
Thank you very much for your insights! Appreciated!
Awesome collection won't be able to stop/pause the video till the end of the video,
Thank you very much, English Taj! Isince making this video, I've a few more have arrived. So, an update is warranted.
Loved this video. Thanks for giving us the prices. Very informative.
Roger, my plesure. Thanks for the nice words.:)
Emperor is my everyday use razor. I went with the Augustus, really only bc it had the longer handle on it and I believe is even a bit heavier than the Meiji. I use the aggressive side for my first pass WTG shave and the milder side for my second pass ATG shave. Color scheme is really interesting and a nice change up from your standard plain chrome looking safety razor.
Viking Meiji is definitely one of my top 4 razors! Have the Rockwell 6s and haven't tried it yet.
Mark, good job mentioning the VB Godfather. It was my second razor, but I always get a good shave with it, no cuts
It was a very, very interesting video about razors.
Ciao Mark, great video and greetings from my Switzerland 🇨🇭
Nice video Mark. I would love to have any of these razors. Unfortunately I don’t have any of them. Maybe for a Christmas present from family? All of them look awesome, but if I had my choice I think I would try the Envoy. That razor just looks like a lifetime of shaves. Have a great rest of the weekend.
Hello. This video is interesting and very helpful. I hope you update it every year or a couple of years as new razors come out. Thank you
Great video Mark...I have never tried the razors in this video but I do use a Timeless Razor and really like it... Worth a try if you haven't already.
Some great razors there Mark nice selection. Thanks for sharing. Have a great rest of the week and stay safe;-)
Thanks, CB Shaves, you too!:)
Great information on some great razors!
4n4, thank you.:)
Hey Mark great video ..
All the best!
Thanks, Dino.:) Glad you liked it.:)
Love the Futur!
Hi Mark, i use the Rex Konsul slant adjustable, it's a piece of art !
I like the ones you have here, something for everyone. Nice job
Thanks, Tim.
Thanks for the video!
You are very welcoming, I’m a new follower 💯👍
Excellent review 👏 👌 👍
Fantastic video! I would add Karve to this list - another great razor!
If you don’t like the white knob on the Merkur Progress just drop it in a cup of fabric dye and dye it any color you want.
I dyed mine black about 10 years ago and it looks much better.
I also bought an aftermarket metal knob for it.
Rockwell 6S and Merkur Progress, Game changer of course, my best top Loves👍👍🇨🇭
This is a solid list for sure, and many that you like I have as well, I love the Merkur Futur and for many reasons, I love that you can disassemble the whole razor to clean it, including the spring. I don’t find the head cumbersome, I do wish it had a better grip, but it’s not a deal breaker.
Thanks, RK 516.:) I forgot to mention the ability to take it apat. I've onl ever done that with one of the clones. But, I feel confident now to do it with the Futur. Great, great point.:)
@@MarkSzorady If you take apart the futur keep in mind it has to go back a certain way, the part that holds the blade has text written on the ends one side says made in Germany and the other says Merkur. Make sure the part that says Made in Germany is facing to your right and the bottom part that has the adjustment line are facing you. If you don’t put it back together this way the razor will not completely seat when you bring it to one. Also when taking it apart set it to 6 and then push down and turn the bottom handle counter clockwise to remove. Hope this helps.
@@Shaverboy516 This helps quite a lot!:) Thank you!:)
@@MarkSzorady You’re welcome Mark:)
Nice video! I also have both luxury and economical razors as well. I think I own close to 40 razors and close to 100 brushes lol!
Hi mark I have put cable shrink on the handle of my futur no more problems with it getting slippery and adds no weight just use a hair dryer to shrink it or a cigarette lighter
Excellent Video Mark!!! (VLS)
Hey Mark I’m new to the channel love it by the way and new to safety razor shaving. What do u recommend that’s not mild but not too aggressive either.
Nice list. I like how your idea of "high end" relates to the budgests of most of us, and not the ultra-expensive brands.
I have two from your list - the Henson and the Gamechanger - though in the more aggressive versions, as that suits my beard better. I have started exploring the adjustables, but haven't gotten any of the ones you listed... yet. Several are on my wish list though.
Terrific list. The GC 0.68 is my daily driver. I'm interested in experiencing the Lupo 0.72 just to feel the difference. By the way, I'm really enjoying your channel.
Patrick, thanks for the nice words regarding the channel:) The GC is one smooth performer. I haven't tried the Lupo but have heard from a few viewers who have. They really enjoy using it.:) I I cannot recall anyone having anything negative to say about it.
Hello There, Mark. A great hello from Brazil 😁. Here the Safety razors are Very expensive, but I'am very happy with my Ming Shi 3000. My perfect set is Ming Shi 3000 with Feather Blade, a shaving soap made by me and a pos shaving of a Brand that we have here Dr.Jones. My dream is having a rockwell t2 . Congrats for the video. I buyed Gillete Nacet and Gillete Wilkson from E-bay and you made me look for Derby Premium with good eyes, is one of my favorite blades. Great Video! 👏
Victor, thanks for the kind words and hello to ou and everyone in Brazil! the Ming Shi 3000 is a fine razor for the money. I've enjoyed using mine. I'll have to do a search for Dr. Jones shave soap. Thanks for mentioning. Derby Premium blades are a favorite and I need to use them in more reviews.
@@MarkSzorady Just correcting, the shaving soap that I mentioned is a recipe that I tested and It worked Very well. The pos-shaving it's from that Brand the I mentioned, Dr.Jones. I looked today Your Review about viking emperor Meiji, and I looked in a store here, in Brazil and the price it's fine. Sorry for the correction, but it's necessary to avoid missunderstands, Dr.Jones it's a very good Brazilian brand and I'am using their pos-shaving since my 22 years( I have 33). Have a Nice day and thanks very much for your atention.
Good stuff. Buying a nice razor for my teenager - this is helpful. I’ve always been a straight razor guy. Last few years, just the one blade. This is inspiring me to get back into wet shaving 3 :)
Cheefus, glad it helped. Since making this video, I've acquired a few other top-end razors. If you have time give those videos a look.

@@MarkSzorady terrific! Thanks Mark
@@cheefussmith9380 My pleasure.
I speak from personal experience on this. While my favorite safety razor, the Merkur 39C, is top end, a remarkably close second is my Assured TTO,,$1 from Dollar Tree! Yes I have some long term durability concerns about the Assured but it gives me a great shave!
I grabbed two of those just the other week, after touring the thrift stores and not seeing any straight, tto or 3piece.. I see a 3piece at the $store. I found it to be in the med. range. Not real agressive, but didnt leave standing hairs either. light and stores flat for travel. If I break it in my bag- it was 1.25$
Hi Mark- Great top-end razor list; thank you for putting this together for us! Some of my favorites are on the list, and others that I need to give a try! Have a great rest of the week and an enjoyable weekend ahead. Take good care and best regards, as always, Mark!
Great video Mark!!!! I have the Rex Ambassador, and it’s one the best razors I have. It shaves incredibly well on all settings. Some people don’t get along with them, but I’ve had the multiple iterations of the Pearl Flexi, and it shaves multiple times better than it. I also love the Progress, personally one of my favorite adjustable razors. The Rockwell 6s and 6C for me have been arguably the smoothest razor I’ve owned the past 5+ years until the Karve came out, so it’s a staple in my den. The Meiji is an incredible choice for me for quick as well, especially for the price. The Henson razor punches way above its pay grade and takes down a good amount of hair really well, and it’s super smooth. I’ve even used it as a head shaver, and it’s terrific! The Gamechanger to me is the best pound for pound DE razor out there in the world of wet shaving. It’s stainless steel, choice of handles, smooth, different base plates, and a reliable predictable shave. I have mine with the Titanium handle, and it’s so smooth!!!! I haven’t used the Meta-4 yet, but I’ve heard marvelous things about it. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!!
Hi, NY Diesel in Fl. Thanks for all the great comments and confirming some of these razors.:) I hope you enjoy theMeta4 as much as I do.:) It's a wonderful razor:)
totally agree the rockwell 6C in blade 2 for me gives me the mildest shave I can get , also have two rockwell R1 TTO razors , also very mild, saludos desde mexico
Another great video Mark. The Meiji from Vikings Blade, are the butterfly doors precise and stay locked during the shave? I had the Crusader, and didn’t care for that razor due to that issue. I like the heft of the Meiji and would consider a butterfly adjustable again. Maybe it’s the price point issue as the Crusader is in a lower end price point?
Mark, yes to all your questions. I've not had a problem with the doors loosening during the shave. However, I tend to check the razor throughout my shave. I make sure the doors are closed on a TTO, and I make sure a 3-piece is secure. it's become a habit because I have had the experience of a razor head loosening up. It's rare, but it has happened to me.
Hey Mark! Great video and you spoke about some great razors. If you think those razors are good, just wait until you try a Karve or a Timeless SS razor :) The Karve is sort of like the Rockwell as it has base plates that vary in blade gap and blade exposure. It truly is a "gamechanger" Haha. I just had a great shave this morning with my Karve and the C plate and Clubguy in CK6. And I think it's around 75-80 USD for the razor and additional base plates are sold for 25 USD each so it's very affordable and very fairly priced for what you get. If you get one of these razors, I think you'll love it so much it would be hard to put it down. And timeless razors are premium razors in my opinion. If it wasn't for my Karve, my timeless would probably be my go to razor for every single shave. Top notch in quality and performance. Excellent video and I hope you enjoy your journey through more premium razor options that are available. :)
Thanks, Tman2217.:) I've heard some great things aobut boh these razors. I'd probably lean towards the Karve due to the changeable base plates. Which one would you recommend that would give a mild shave akin to the Muhle R89 or similar?
@@MarkSzorady Hi Mark, while I haven't used either of those razors, I would suggest 2 base plates for you, one, for that smooth mild shave would be the B base plate, and the other for a smooth but slightly more efficient shave would be the C plate. I have both and I must admit that I find the B plate to be too mild for me so I mostly use the C which is the first plate that has positive blade exposure. Not sure of the blade gap though, could be somwhere like 0.75mm or something.... I'd have to check the site to be 100% on that. The Karve is a wonderful razor and I'm sure it would easily make your top 3 list of favorite razors.
@@Tman2217 Thank you for these details.:) The Karve is certainly on my list.:)
I've tried the Rockwell 6S, not a fan at all. PITA to replace the pieces and I was concerned about keeping track of them. Bough a Parker Variant instead, which has infinite adjustments built in and super happy with it. In fact, I own two. One in the shower for body, the other for face use and travel. I will never get a non-adjustable razor, due to flexibility. These things are all cheap in the grand scheme of things - unless you start collecting them ;)
Great review. You have a very complete collection of "top-end" razors. I was surprised that you didn't include the Gillette Slim/Fatboy or GSC Fatguy in your selections.
Bart, thanks.:) I purposely kept the vintage razors out in order to do a dedicated video of them. I'm also going to do a video of some of my moderately priced razors.:)
Hi Mark
How the Mekur Progress setting 2 or 3 compares to the 34C? Should I get adjustable or just mild razor?
I shave every three days because of my sensitive skin.
To be honest I dont remember what I have used in late 80's for shaving. Probably at that time the 1-2 cartridge had come out so I never did were shaving like my dad.
Bravo, Bravo, Bravo. This has got to be THE BEST top high end razor list I've EVER SEEN! Hats off to you Mark. Thanks for keeping it real. The only one I didn't care for was the Rex. I find the Rex not worth the money for the shave you get IMO. I've gotten the Flexi V4 and shaves better at a real price, 😊. You didn't mention the artisinal offerings that cost way more that shave you no better than any on your list. That's what I mean about keeping it real. Cheers and GO TEAM! 🍻
Peter, thanks very much for the kind words.:) I sincerely appreciate it.:) The Pearl Flexi V4 has been on my radar. I know that early on it had some hiccups. The V4, from what I understand, seems to have corrected many of these issues. I failed to mention that, although the price of the Envoy is $125.00, Razor Emporium was running a sale at the time I purchased. They offered 10% off. So, I saved $12.50. It actually made the final price a bit more realistic and within reach for me. Again, thanks for the nice comments.:)
@@MarkSzorady sorry Mark, I meant the Rex Ambassador not the Envoy. Must of had a brain freeze, Cheers! 🍻
Great vid! How does the Meta 4 compare to the Gamechanger .68?
I recommend you try some of the Muhle line
great video, Mark. very vice collection! which razor is for you more aggresiv, the gamechanger 0.68 or the Rey Envy razor, thank you.
RM, the Rex Supply Envoy has a bit more aggression. However, it's a very smooth razor. Shaves are irritation free for sure.:) The Envoy is incredibly well made.:)
The best razor I have found it the Timeless Razor, give it a try, it is spendy though.
I was very surprised not to see the rex ambassador on the list ... Beautiful, well built, lifetime razor
Hi, 2010stoof. I don't own a Rex Ambassador. Believe me, from what I've heard, if I owned one, it would be on the list.:)
@@MarkSzorady well if I would have known, or if rex had known you were doing a video like this.... I'm sure if you contact them they will consider sending a sample for you to try especially since you own their non adjustable.
As far as shaving channels go you have a good following. Consider contacting them for a sample.
You may even be able to keep it, which is normally how razors go with these situations.
Maybe try and see if Matt or his marketing team are interested. But make sure you specify that it's got to be non-biased. However since you love their non adjustable, I'm sure you'll love the rex too. They've made quite a few changes over the time and anything in the last 2-3 years is so far their final design
Thanks for the reply.
@@2010stoof My pleasure.:) Actually, I almost purchased one after a viewer said that it was discounted. I was unable to find that discount. So, I'll wait to see if they offer a discount/sale for the holidays.:)
@@MarkSzorady depending where you are, and depending on the discount you're looking for, amazon is cheap right now. I paid 250 and it's alot less even with prime right now.
Again I don't know where you are lol
Great video. How often do you shave?
How about the plating of the varaint, as bad as the gold Futur or better ?
If you could only have one, would you choose the Rockwell 6S or the Rockwell T2?
Great video review, Mark! Thank you!
I’m planning to do head shaves for the first time. Thinking of purchasing the Rex Ambassador. Have you used the Envoy for head shaves? Would the handle feel too short or too aggressive?
Thanks, ageofaqu.:) I appreciate the nice comments. I haven't used the Envoy for a head shave. So, I cannot say. My hunch is it would do a good job, but I'd need to be a bit more careful shaving the top of my head where the skin thins out. But that's usually the case regardless of the razor used with the exception of the very mild ones. think Merkur 34C or the iKon X3 Slant. I'm due for a head shave, so I'll give it a go and report back.:)
ageofaqu, I was due for a head shave so did one this evening (Friday evening) with the Envoy and a Super Iridium razor blade. The Envoy did a wonderful job. Smooth and close with enough blade feel to keep me on target with my technique. I made sure to use a light touch throughout. I did not rush the process. I also took my time and used a light touch when it came to shaving the top of the head where the skin becomes thinner. After two passes, the shave was done. Usually, I need to do a touchup after the second pass. I did go through the motions of doing a touch up, but very little was needed. Bottom line, The Envoy is one of the better razors for me for doing ahead shave. However, I built up a substantial and protective lather from PAA CK-6 soap and the Cube pre-shave. I took my time ,lightened up my touch, and let the weight of the razor do al the work. A wonderful smooth result. This razor head shave deserves a video review.:)
@@MarkSzorady Thank you so much Mark for taking the time to do this feed back review. Much appreciated! 🙏🏼

Ciao Mark,il Rex Envoy lo metto al primo posto perché è un rasoio fantastico di grande qualità costruttiva.Anche il Merkur Furur mi piace tanto!👍🤗
Massimo, the Envoy really does have that extra bit of machined quality to it.:) Thess small details really enhance it. The Futur is a modern day classic.:)
Try a Kai blade in your Henson beautiful shave
Hi Mark would I be ok to ask your opinion on two razors you reviewed please? If I don’t hear back from you thanks for the video 👍
Like the look of the Meiji but they aren't available in the UK or if they are I cannot find them. Interesting post.
Keep well and keep safe.
Did you try Vikingsblade.com? Not sure if they ship to your area or not. Perhaps I need to add a Meiji to the next giveaway? Some folks from across the pond have won in the past. It'd be a neat way to get one of these razors over there.:)

If you want an excellent shave with minimal cost, time and effort try this: Q-Shave adjustable razor (a Merkur clone for $20) and Creemo. Remember, a close nick free shave is 90% technique and 10% razor.
Hi Mark,
Nice choices, are some of these razors your favorite for head shaving or at the opposite some that you don't use ?
Pierre, if it's a mild razor, I'll use it for a head shave. I use adjustable razors at their milder settings for head shaves. I've attempted to dial up the aggression level on an adjustable with disastrous results. Lesson learned. I keep it mild.:)
@@MarkSzorady Thank's Mark, for my part it has to be mild and not heavy for head shaving, a matter of preference :-)

Sorry Mark but asymmetrical head on the Viking Blade Meiji? Isn't that a defect? Viking Blade doesn't mention this type of head as any kind of a feature on their website or on their Amazon listing. But they don't provide too many specs.
BG, yes, the razor head is assymetrical. Check the bottom thumbnail photo on the left hand side of their product page: amzn.to/3tIqzNz
Their description has changed a bit. As I recall, it used to say, "Asymmetrical." Now it says, "Adjustable dual head with multiple aggression micro-settings." I believe the "dual head" refers to the razor head being asymmetrical.:)
There have been minor internal revisions made to the Merkur Progress over the years. These will not be noticeable to the shaver. It simply means that not all parts are interchangeable from 1955 to now. It is worth noting that they come in long and short handled versions.
Because the head is made of zamak, I would not regard this as a "lifetime" razor. It will last many years with care, but if the finish fails, it cannot be readily refinished.
Hi, Iver Mec-Tin. I've heard this regarding the plating of Zamak. But the razor head looks so incredibly chromed, I'd hope it's lat a good long time. Perhaps not lifetime in the same was as a stainless steel razor. Only time will tell, as the saying goes. I appreciate the background information on the Progress.
Time has told. It lasts a lifetime
Mark , if I may, what razor do you use for head shaving?
Alex, I like using any MILD razor. But hands down, my go to is the Supply SE.
Affiliate Link: Supply | High-Performance Products For Personal Grooming: supply.co/pages/starter-set-offer?IGTT&Creator&MarkSzorady22
The futur I detest. It’s clumsy and frankly dangerous with the insecure snap and adjusting.
Lecco, I've often commented that the Futur is an acquired taste. Yes, some wet shavers find it awkward and cumbersome. That has not been my experience. But, YMMV, as they say.
@@MarkSzorady yea I get on great with the C line Merkurs
Not to mention there’s exact clones for less than 10 dollars and I wouldn’t be surprised if your getting the exact same product and quality.
The Futur is terrible for me, rough shave and not very complete with an Astra blade. Used my Game Changer .76 to save that shave.
I been using electric razors most my life, except for boot camp. I am trying a safety razor for the first time. I like it, but it seems to clocg up every 2-3 passes.. And I'm using a lot of water to clean it. I Understand I'm am still a noob and thing probably will improve over time. The electric I need 0 water, and 0 shave cream. I just replace the blades every year. I'm still kinda thinking Electric wins the contest, at least for me. I suppose there is a reason they never do a cost compare on safety vs electric.
buuuuut Marc. which is the razor at the top of your collection?
Are any of these razors made in the USA?
Mark for president.
Great video and information, quit liking your channel. I too have more on the side of sensitive skin and am looking for a milder and smoother shave than my Merkur 34C. Also I have tried numerous blades. Cheers.
Jules, the Rockwell #2 plate and #1 plate will definitely be milder or similar to the 34C.
HI Great video and new subscriber. Question: are any of these Made in the USA?
I think the Henson, Rex supply, and rockwell might be, but I’m not entirely sure. The razorocks are made in Canada. Parkers are made in India. Merkurs are made in Germany. I believe the VB razors are made in Asia. Not sure about the rest.
Are you willing to sell the Henson Medium Razor? I've been wanting to buy one as a college student graduate. A bit skeptical since I never used a razor like Henson. Despite everything, I will get the Rockwell 6s in Black. :)
Hi William. Unfortunaely, it's not faor sale. I'd like to work with the Medium a little more for when I have four day beard growth, especially for future videos. I've not yet done one this extreme and I'm looking forward to doing it at some point down the road.:)
Im new in safety razor. I like shaving bald. Head and face. The disposable ones .gives me irritation. Which one you recommend me.
Julio, any of the mild razors would be a good start. If you are unsure, try and adjustable as you can turn it down to as mild settings as needed. the Rockwell is great with all it's different plates and I like the Vikings Blade adjustable razors. On the affordable end, the Edwin Jagger DE89 is a good pick for both head and face. I like the Q Brothers as well. It's a clone of the Muhle R89 and gives you a bit of savings. also, a razor not discussed when I made this video is the Supply SE single Edge Injector razor. an exception razor for both head and face and its NickStop technology really worked for me.
Shave soap is a huge improvement, throw your canned shaving creams in the garbage.
Mark which safety razor would you recommend after King C. Gillette? It should be more efficient and cost between €20 and €50. Can possibly go up to 60 €!
Robert, the Chieftain is going to be a more efficient razor and cost about the same. The 5 B.C is quite smooth and a bit more expensive. The Parker Variant is going to going to give adjustability and comes in at that price. The Parker 56R is a three-piece razor. Smooth and ups the efficiently a bit more too.

@@RobertsClassicShave Agree.
Only issue with merkur is the base metal is pot metal underneath
As a African American man the Bevel razor and blades works good for me, but I would like something alittle more aggressive
Try the Parker Variant, adjustable and built like a tank.
@@Shaverboy516 Agree.:)
Not to be That Guy but... Yes these razors are designed and built well, with the bells and whistles and they do their job well. Then again, For what these razors cost, they'd better! By the same token, as the Sharpologist once observed, safety razors have been around so long and the design and manufacturing so refined, that it's quite difficult to make a truly bad razor.
What's that big silver thing in front of you?

I get a 10 pack of 2 blade razors for $0.99 at The 99 Cents Only Store, and they work GREAT. I've been using them for
many years, with simple bar soap, and these over priced multi blade razors and "foams" are a waste of money.
CD, I've not heard of the 99 Cents Only Store. Where are they located?
EDIT - For those interested, I found their web site: 99only.com
Isn’t there any vintages in your list Mark ?
Amir, The vintage razors are going to go on a separate list just as the more moderately priced razors will have their own list.:)
@@MarkSzorady 👍👍👍so cool can’t wait to see
Love my Henson AL13 Mild in Black. I have sensitive skin and shave every 2nd day. I am new to wet shaving so the Henson is perfect for transitioning from a cartridge razor. However, that is not to say it is only for beginners. Many experienced wet shavers love this razor as well.
Robert, yes, I agree with our assessment. Very good points.
With all my respect Mr Szorady, you cannot make a top razor's without including Merkur 34c and Muhle R41
PAA Meta4 is a truly great razor. Surprised the Taiga is not on your list?
Frederick, I agree. The Meta4 is a favorite!:) Taiga? Well, it's on my list now!:) Looks beautiful!:)
@@MarkSzorady the Colibri and Baikal from Homelike are exceptional razors as well. I think you will like this company.

@@MarkSzorady The Taiga is a Gibbs adjustable homage built to a very high standard. It is in the luxury razor category.
The Pearl Flexi and Rex Ambassador are also based upon the Gibbs adjustable razor.
@@ivermec-tin666 Tanks very much for this background information.:)
Great video but I don't like mild razors they give me the most irritation and Knicks/cuts the only razor I agree that is good on the list is parker variant which destroys most adjustable razors including the Rex.
Razor JAGI,
DIPLOMAT
KOLIBRI
ALFA,
TAIGA ..

Muhle r41 twist
I have the Muhle R102 which is an R41 razor head on a white handle.
how did the feather as d2 not make this list????....hmmmmmmmmm
Cool video, showed up randomly in my feed. But i must say you have one sh**ty mic. Its ringy bc of the metal. If you are gonna think to upgrade smth do begin with the mic. Much love from switzerland❤❤
Thanks very much. The microphone i has a good rating and was a gift. I'll have to check my settings.

I'm sick of these crappy cartridge razors and am considering a safety or straight razor. What's disappointing is so many of the safety razors look alike! Boring! I want something classic yet unique! Any suggestions?
Yes. Since making this video, I've been introduced to several top shelf razors.

"TERRIFIC" review. I like the emperor razer
im my opinion merkur futur is overpriced , there are copies almost same quality starting from 13 dollar , for that price I bought 4 razors , all same construction, one chrome, other black and the third satin silver finish , ( qshave and ming shi 2000 ) the fourth razor is the one with magnetic top ( river lake ) with this one it is easy to go under the nose, rockwell 6C for me the best of all , I use base plate 2, also rockwell R1 TTO wonderful razors , I had a qshave parthenon adjustable razor , really very very aggressive even in level 1, I had to give it away , don't understand which stupid engineer did design such a lousy razor , I asked to santa claus to send me a merkur progress razor haha ( santa for me is amazon , in Mexico excellent service ,haha ), I just received a ming shi 3000 adjustable razor , will use it tomorrow , looks like my gillette slim adjustable from the 1950, very nice resume of your recommended razors , did like it very much .
Thanks, Robert.:) I appreciate all your input and experiences with the various razors you have.:) As I recall, my Futur was a used razor purchase. the original owner used it once and decided to sell. So, fortunately, I didn't pay full price. However, one main difference between the Futur and the its clones is the weight. The Futur has more heft which, for some, is an added benefit.:)
The Futur is made and designed in Germany. I would never buy those chinese plagiarism build by children. No offence.
@@duennbrett None taken.:)
@@duennbrett well I can see that you are not aware of the world, your famous machinery for shoemaking pfaff is made in china , so cheaper and maybe the same quality, also Mercedes the high class is made in china, did you visit china to see how the country is today, the problem is that the cost of making products in Germany is too high , there fore german brands are being made in china, and china is not using children to produce products, do you know how many children are in Germany working in the textile industry , no you don't , so please check it , it is a shame using poor people from china, Thailand , Indonesia , etc .
