With only 800lbs of ccc, that would explain the lack of welds on both sides 😅 Seriously, I was really shocked and disappointed 😮by two of my favorite manufacturers cutting these simple corners and that makes me question the things I can't see. How chensey the corners they choose to cut. Thank you for your stellar videos and knowledge you depart to the public

We actually own this very travel trailer in this video! Bought it at the Hersey RV show. We’ve only had it out only once so far but we really like it! Time will tell. It’s our first! We did replace the mattress. It was soft at the bottom but thinner at the head because of the slide out. Put a nice foam mattress in, so much better. I’m 6’ and the shower is fine. The floor plan was the best we could find in a trailer this length. It has everything we need.
For the price point where GD sits, this unit should have: PROPER WELDS, new scissor style stabilizer jacks, slam latch, stable steps, and a rear bumper
I’d like you to investigate more on the weld issue that you identified. It seems as though that is simply where the bed and furniture super structure meets the wall. I wonder if they welded on both sides on the exterior framing of the unit. It’s probably something that you could confirm with Grand Design and post an update. I love the floor plan.
Yeah, and I am disappointed in seeing the OSB. Love the design/layout, but damn. It's those little things.
Good call on the one sided welds but @3:03 &16:10 did you notice the screws have dimple and partially collapsed the aluminum frame I don't think they are using the wood filler inside the tubing that prevents that what do you think?
Im pretty certain they are not. There’s very few brands that do that.

Yes, the bathroom is a clever design. I'm assuming the dinette can be made into a bunk so a private "master bedroom" for the parents is a good idea. This one is good for short trips. I wouldn't want to try to live there.
The welds is a problem for me. It makes me wonder what else they tried to hide. I also don't care for the toilet sitting right in front of the door.

Hi. New subscriber. I’m curious about the welding on both sides of the frame. What does that mean?
As someone who owns the 22mle, this is a downgrade. Folding the bed? Can’t walk around the bed if you need a quick stop? This is a no go for me.
I like the size of the bathroom, but hate the lack of clothing storage in the bedroom. Dinette needs another window, although I realize it would be on the non-camping side. Perhaps a mirror would work? This is not the RV for you Myles.

This is an interesting floorplan. Not sure how i feel about the bedroom seems "tight"

Incomplete welding is CHEAPER to make. Not buying one like that with weaker "bones".

If they are going to try and save man hours in the welding of the framing (should be welded on at least two sides minimum) then put the damn weld at the bottom not on one side 🤯
Can't hear the ac. 800lbs is definitely not much. Doable but would be pushing it.
Man, been hearing and seeing so many quality issues with GD lately, always thought their quality was better than this.
That’s all been on fifth wheels, not travel trailers. And it has to do with the weight of those heavy fifth wheels, not quality of the RV.
The bedroom lacks storage.. so I rather not.
Ugh..the thought of a bathroom/toilet in a trailer grosses me out, luckily she feels the same.
3:05 - another corner cutter.. let's just leave out every other screw ... cheap GD... garbage! and those led strips going across the roof... looks llke something a kid would put in their dorm room... cheesey!!!

Did not like the OSB use in this trailer...highly carcinogenic.
This trailer is to for full time living, I don't like it. the soldering is to good

Gotta be the worst travel trailer layout ive seen… plus that quality is terrible. The pass through in the front of the unit has missing screw holes the best part of the unit is the graphics
