Wifey and I agree Grand Design are the best for what we need. We got the 2250RK which has a rear kitchen, huge mid bath and private front bedroom. The reason we went with that floorplan is because I get up earlier than she does so being able to close both bedroom and bathroom doors makes it so she doesn't hear me making coffee and I can get online and do my stuff before she wakes up. We got the optional reclining sofa rather than a dinette, much more comfortable. We previously had Jayco and Winnebago travel trailers, the Grand Design is much better in every way in our opinion. Thanks for the great look see!

One point to check on is if you have full access from bed to bath with the bump out all the way in. If you want to overnight off grid it’s good to bed able to get to the frig and bath.

I purchased that exact GD 17MKE model from the show. The gap in the slide people have pointed out is the chrome strip that goes around the wood on the slide out. Very pleased with GD's quality so far. From all the models of that size we looked at during the show GD and Rockwood took the win for best quality without breaking the bank for a Lance.

Have a look at a Rockwood 2507S, it gives you a full queen Murphy bed, a couch with flip out leg supports, a large U-shaped dinette, absolutely the most storage in a camper under 26 feet plus a very large bathroom. We have a 2020 model and probably the feature that we love the most, that we didn't even realize we wanted, is the large outdoor kitchen. Having an external two burner stove and a gas griddle, we virtually never cook inside! Check it out if you get a chance.

Great reviews, however there was no mention of the Jayco 21MML. It has a dry weight of 5200lb and GVW of 6500. I feel it is a contender for your needs as if offers a queen muphy bed sofa, Full reclining lounge chairs as well as a dinette. The kitchen is a rear corner setup with ample counter space and storage. 12v Fridge and movable smart TV. The only drawback I see is the porcelain toilett. We are considering downsizing from a 37 ft 5th wheel and as of now this would be the #1 choice.

Having both a double recliner and a dinette in a true half ton towable is a hard to beat combination. The latest now has 12V frig and solar but you are going to need something like a lithium battery to keep that 12V frig on, however it is 10 cf vs 8 cf. Those recliners go all the way back and I can sleep in them. You didn't show the pantry but it is huge and difficult to reach into the back but tons of storage. The lance looks nice but I don't think it can beat the floor plan of the GD 22 mle.

wife and I recently went through the same buying process. Find a travel trailer with a dinette and sofa as close to 25 feet as possible. We had a few more criteria as well. Here's your top contenders and why we didnt choose rhem:
MPG 2100RB- Their sliding king bed is gimmicky and a waste of space. Small bathroom.
RW minilite 2514s- Loved this one except the bathroom was a little too tight
GD 22mle- Slide isn't floor flush. Walking up to the fridge or stove area.you hit your foot on the slide out..
We ended up buying a RW mini lite 2507s- True queen murphy bed, large u dinette ginormous bathroom, tons of storage, extra large outside kitchen, 2" hitch receiver, and good solar options from the factory. 25'10" and 5700lb dry.

    Re: Turbo-lag.
JOSH: YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A TURBO DIESEL!
And it's okay, most people don't. And I'll teach you how, below.
But stop driving them like a '65 GTO with a Holley double-pumper. With those carburetors, a "hard stomp" actually squirted more gas into the venturies to cover the brief lean condition, as the air velocity accelerates faster than the fuel velocity through the Jets. Go ahead and "stomp on the gas" in your non-turbo vehicles.
BUT, you are slowing down the diesel when you do that. What you have done is you "stalled the turbo" by "flooding it with air".
    Let me explain...
Max power comes at Max boost. Max boost comes from Max turbine speed. Max turbine speed is reached fastest with maximum turbine acceleration. You're with me still (sorry, I'm an engineer, who bought the first VW New Beetle TDI in Western Canada in June 1998, and put 200,000 kms on it in 3 years. I had lots of chances to experiment, while blowing off "rice rockets" at the stop lights, and have had a couple more turbo diesels since).
So, turbine acceleration: pushing it faster is the exhaust gasses. They accelerate it, if they can. What's resisting it is the air that It's compressing. For it to spin, it has to push that air into the cylinders. So, how much it resists "spinning up" to max boost depends on how much air you make it compress (because the engine and turbo haven't yet sped up) so .... I'm sure you've figured out the problem ... if you floor it, causing the throttle body to open all the way, you instantly take the compressor from running at high vacuum (meaning "very thin air", with little resistance to spinning) letting it spin easily, and you let mother nature use her 15 PSI of normal pressure at the air filter to just fill that compressor with more air than it can push into the cylinders. So now it is really raising acceleration. And since the exhaust turbine is only being pushed by the exhaust coming from that engine that is just rumbling along, it can't overcome the resistance of all that air. So what happens, is the engine accelerates just from the atmospheric air pressure, without the aid of turbo boost. Basically, you've turned your turbo engine into a non-turbo engine, just by flooring it. But it will get more air and fuel and create more exhaust, and that will push the turbo a bit, which will create a bit of boost leading to more exhaust, and accelerating the turbine a bit more. But this is the slowest way to accelerate the turbine.
IF YOU WANT TO GO FAST then you have to press the accelerator pedal down slowly!
Yes, that is counter intuitive, but you will feel the difference as you cut down on turbo lag by letting the turbine spin.
How slow do you press it? Good question. It depends how slow it is going. For example, when you're stopped and the light turns green, you need to go really slow, maybe taking an entire second plus to get to "floored" state. But if you're cruising at 55 MPH and want to pass, is already spinning pretty quick, and you can drop it in a fraction of a second. And pushing it slower, the power level should track with the pedal.
Of course, every engine and setup is different, so you have to experiment, and do that with every turbo diesel that to step into. (And you may have to press the pedal slower when the engine is cold than when it's warmed up, etc. too. You were probably testing with a cold engine and that's worse).
Okay, that's the lesson for today.
With some control of that right foot, you will accelerate quicker, smoother, and get rid of that annoying lag. Have fun experimenting!
