  • In remarks that must be very reassuring to India, Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay has ruled out the possibility of his government permitting China to open its embassy in Thimpu. "There is no question of Chinese embassy in Bhutan, Mr Tobgay told NDTV a day after Narendra Modi concluded his first-ever foreign visit as India's new Prime Minister. There have been concerns in India over China's attempts to establish diplomatic ties with Bhutan.

      Ugyen Dorji ,
      Yes you have. You've many cultural similarities with northeastern States of India like Sikkim and Arunanchal Pradesh. If you don't want to be associated with the facts, then be so. Indians have the oldest and richest culture, tradition, civilization, diversified with global roots in the world. We don't need your certification that your culture is similar to ours. Because the facts can't be distorted..

      Quite sad, after occupying Sikkim and Arunanchal Pradesh, now indian said they is cultural similarities.

    • @ugyentenzin9684
      @ugyentenzin9684 Před 7 lety +3

      these two states share culture similarities with tibet not with india. just use your head will your subtropic culture work in those cold regions. you wont see people people walking with dot on their head, even if you do see those are nepali. when i say arunachal i mean only tawang. now you might say that we have same writing system and it is correct. but we learning your writing system is same as me learning English so i could study biology and physics, nothing to do with culture. let me point out some of the cultural and civilization that we share with the Chinese (ming dinesty) and the mongols.
      first we still use the lunar calendar just like the rest of the asia apart from south asia.
      In my country we still have the ancient method to make paper which can be found in chna and japan.
      now lets talk about food, our dishes are not curry base dishes. the key ingredient is either cheese or soy beans.
      an how can you ignore the fact that we mainly consume beef and pork.
      we also eat lots of streamed cooked food and streaming method is very rare in India.
      about our traditional cloth. yea right its looks sooo Indian huh.....lol
      as for language. our language is from the sino-tibetan branch. fun fact -om word that you use to worship god means boobs in our language. the jai word that you use to praise god means dick in our language and the tu word that you use to refer to second person means pussy in our language.
      lets not forget about the drinking culture in our country. we greet our guest with wine not with tea. similar culture huh.
      cast system, you will never find it here.
      now lets talk about architectures. do you seriously believe that our house and bridges looks similar to yours. thats just plain ignorant
      i can still go no and on but you got the point. please respect our difference and we will respect you. just randomly calming to have culture similarity to gain politic leverage is just too disgusting.

      surojit chatterjee so according to you religion is culture right. Then let's take Christianity. This this religion can be found in four corner of the world, I am pretty sure that there are few million in Indian also. So according to your claim, you believe all those people have similar culture to European. Unlike Islam and Hinduism, in case of Buddhism and Christianity it is not necessary to integrate into the culture of those religion that's why today we can find Buddhism in many different languages and different tradition. Even its funny how you think of a religion as culture. Buddhism says that you must not drink but we greet our guest with wine. Buddhism says no killing yet we love beef jerky. For us religion is not a culture but an idea or a knowledge.

    I remind Bhutan's brother, Bhutan's current situation is very similar to that of Sikkim. There was once a Sino-Tibetan country called Sikkim, which was swallowed up by India. In addition, China has no territorial claims against Bhutan. You can see Chinese publishing. Map, our map only includes South Tibet and Ladakh, and South Tibet was occupied by the British after the Simla meeting in 1914.
