    "It's been said that the 501st got the best of the war. We also got the worst. On Felucia, the Seps dug their metal heels into the muck of that alien hellhole and dared the Republic to come in after them. So we did, only to be met with month after month of flesh-eating diseases, shrieking nocturnal predators, and other sights that haunt me to this day. Cut off and for all we knew abandoned by our superiors, our only hope was Aayla Secura, our Jedi commander. Without her iron will, none of us would have come out of that mess with our sanity, or our lives. When her death came, I hope it was quick. She earned that much."
    "When the 501st was finally rotated out of Felucia, Aayla Secura made a point of seeing us off personally, calling us the bravest soldiers she had ever seen. It's a good thing we were wearing helmets, because none of us could bear to look her in the eye."

    This battle was hell for clones and they knew it. It’s location was vital for the confederacy and the amount of troops needed to secure it was massive. That not even mentioning the flesh eating diseases and the hyper aggressive predators, this was a perfect world for droids but an absolute nightmare for the clone army.

      But as much as it was hell it probably made for some the most battle hardened clones that CIS just ultimately couldn't be able to hold out against. Yes heavy losses were accrued on both sides. But for the Clones that survived that hell hole I think it showed them that with enough grit they can over come any obstacle. Butt at the same time understand the toll war takes and that unfortunately a lot of the time aren't like in the simulations.

    “From an administrative point of view, I would advise against settling anyone on Felucia due to the vast dangers and cost of developing in the jungles and seas without drastic clearing of dangerous organisms and geographical structures. A decent generalization is that, if you wouldn’t want to live in there, you would not want to fight there, either. That planet swallowed entire clone units, sometimes I’m not sure whether it was because of battle or attrition of the wildlife, animate fungi, or flesh eating microorganisms.”

    Here's the idea: What if Quinlin Vos and Commander Faie were sent to the Battle of Umbara instead of Anakin and the 501st? Vos is still called back to Courscant for a solo mission in to CIS space, meanwhile General Krell is assigned to Commander Faie. What would the outcome have been? If Faie and his men do survive the first few episodes in the arc, and capture the airbase, what would've happened when they were ordered to assault the 212th troops unknowningly? Would they start to question orders? Or would they follow them through, and at some point through this, the entire group along with Faie is killed trying to follow orders?

      @@michaelandreipalon359 Yeah. I greatly enjoyed that episode. The Lumity B-Plot was so fun and cute, and it was also a clever way to get them away from Willow and Gus, because if they were there they would have recognized Hunter immediately and thwarted what he was up to. And it was also nice to hear that Luz told Willow and Gus about Hunter as seen by their reactions to Hunter's reveal and Willows's words. I, along with others, always assumed Luz and Amity were keeping Willow and Gus informed on what Belos is up to with his evil plan, so it's nice to have it confirmed here. Although Willow and Gus were probably only given a simple description of what Hunter looks like from Luz and Amity, so all they would know was that he was a teenager with blond hair and some facial scars, the hair and age are pretty common and with how dangerous the Boiling Isles are I image many people have scars, so again there are probably a few people out there with similar appearances to Hunter so it makes sense that Willow and Gus couldn't tell it was him until his reveal.
      I also like how this episode fleshes out the people working for the Emperor more, with Darius and of course the greatness of Steve. With how he and Ember Wolf captured Raine, I always thought Darius and Ember Wolf leaned more towards being actually evil, but it looks like they're more on the regular witch side of characters who are probably good but are just following Belos because they don't know how evil and insane he really is.
      Also, I'm kind of noticing a trend with these last three episodes showing how Belos empire is slowly falling apart, similar to how he is due to the curse.
      I mean Raine fighting back against Terra's weak Mind Control, Kiki, Hunter, and Steve all having doubts about working for Belos, and even Darius letting what Hunter's been up to slide.

    If Felucia was so important to The CIS, and The Republic War Efforts, why would Shaak Ti hide there after Order 66 in The Force Unleashed? It doesn't make sense, considering The Republic/Empire would literally lockdown any truly important world(to The Republic, or The CIS) in The Outer Rim. Ryloth, Raxus Prime, Mygeeto, Muunilist, Kamino, and others come to mind. Maybe, I'm just confusing The Bad Batch with Legends lore, but I'm still confused, regardless.

    I still remember dealing with the Acklay (Aklay?) on 2005's BF2. So much terror, so much fun.
    Don't get me wrong, I truly enjoy some aspects of the new Star Wars games, the new BF2 included (Though my fav new one is fallen order, I have Survivor too but I haven't played it yet, I don't want to start it till I beat fallen order first), but man why can't they just realize that what isn't broke doesn't need fixing?
    If you want perfect star wars games, update the most popular old ones. New graphics and new features.
    Easy Example #1: KOTOR 3 - I like SWTOR, I really do, but it should have been separate to a single player KOTOR 3. Update the graphics, update the combat mechanics (while leaving an option in settings to use classic style combat), add more weapon/armor diversity, add new force powers, throw in plenty of references and cameos of famous characters, add a mechanic to customize your shop/change ships, make choices more dynamic, give the option (but don't make it necessary) to get really deep into the power system by adding skill tree branches to each power, and finally add loads of immersion via unmarked content that rewards exploration and critical thinking (add unmarked quest for exar kun's lightsaber and give it massive damage, Nihlus' mask for a boost to your drain powers if you're dark side, and/or a mini star forge that gives you an ultra-battle droid ally. Stuff like that, and even more in depth stuff like letting players delve into sith alchemy)
    Easy Example #2: Battlefront 3 - Remember the massive upgrade between original BF1 and BF2? I remember how excited I was when I got BF2 right before Christmas of 2005. Simply build on 2, update graphics, add WAY more units and maps, and don't take away anything we already had, just update/add. Taking out Hunt and Galactic Conquest were 2 of the biggest mistakes they made IMO. GC mode wasnt perfect, but they were on the right track to something epic there. Also, WHY did they destroy space battles? Invading enemy ships and sabotaging them from the inside was basically one of the most fun parts of the entire game. Also, I like Iden Versio, I really do... but that should have been a separate story mode. Our primary story mode should have had us able to choose one of a number of clone corps and Confederate fleets and there should have been dynamic permanent rewards for challenges in story. Finally, they should focus more on single player fun, I love online play, but I prefer single player and I'd prefer at least some kind of mode where I could slowly build up the ultimate version of the army of whichever faction I choose. I'd like to have to manage credits and purchase capital ships/units/supplies and even maybe research new blasters or big space lasers and what not. With our current gen of consoles and PCs there is NO reason they couldn't give us all that.
    Easy Example #3: Jedi Knight series remake.
    Easy Example #4: Force Unleashed 3 - We NEED a wild power fantasy where we can obliterate armies as a Jedi/Sith of our choice or even a CAC.

    Hey could you make an actual video about who and why Luke or Anakin is the chosen one.
    For me it means, that there is a balance between light and darkness.
    Means it cannot be Luke, because he slew the last sith, he ended the balance for good in the end.
    Anakin on the other hand beat the crap out of the jedi order, untill there were only a few jedi left.
    If you think about it, Palpatine and Yoda are more or the less equal strong, because the battle between them ended in a draw.
    A weakend vader should be equal to kenobi plus the remaining jedi.
    But is the balance of the force really that?
    Or maybe some kind of not fully light jedi with luke and dark jedi, with Kylo.
    Hope for your opinion about it.

    • @Grandof-the-PentastarAlignment
      @Grandof-the-PentastarAlignment Před 2 lety +1

      Balance of the force is absence of the dark side. The dark side is a sickness to life itself that manifests itself out of necessity so people can have a free will, but it still does not excuse the harm the dark side perpetuates.
      Sith and Jedi are not synonymous with the light or dark side. Jedi can act against the will of the force as they did in the clone wars by fighting in the war not to hold up morality but merely to prop up the dying ever more unjust growing republic against a faction of mostly poor people that merely wanted a better life for themselves but had the misfortune of the republic not caring and the people that answered their cries to trick them into creating a new government which had the CIS succeeded just ended up being the uncaring Republic with different leaders.
      Sith can act out of right morals but the importance they place on their emotions and disregard for logic makes them commit acts of evil that then do not serve justice but create more conflict due to their need of indulging in their feelings.
      There are many great videos about jedi and sith philosophy on CZcams but I would think Geetsly is better for lore videos while the balance is a topic of debate and multiple viewpoints, too subjective. The video "The Foundations of Star Wars" and all other videos from that channel come to mind though that channel in particular has a rather negative view of the force due to his overeliance on logic. Try searching for the term grey jedi on here. It is popularly used as a term for jedi that have fallen but that is only true according to the point of view of Jedi philosophy. Grey jedi are actually people who want to serve what is good first and foremost, which makes them truer servants of the force than the Jedi Order who are too preoccupied with codes and traditions which make them blind to the truth. Grey jedi would be Luke in ROTJ, Qui-Gon Jinn and Ahsoka. Disney Gallery The Mandalorian episode 2 Legacy also has Dave Filoni say something about the balance of the force.

      @Caron-dc3hs Před 2 lety +1

      @@Grandof-the-PentastarAlignment you are right, the sith want to use the force to get their will, some think, that the birth of anakin was an action of the force to defeat the ones who want to bend it, which in the end he did. I thought about the balance of the force should be more balanced, equal light siders to equal dark siders, that is what balance means in the end. But the darkside is more like a disease, a wrong approach to the force, something unhealthy and unnatural (Palpatine).
      Also it is clear that the jedi came off the right way, it is very good shown in the movies, anakin isnt controlled, he uses force choke, kills innocent and shows not the mindset of a true jedi.
      A lot more of the jedi were heading in the wrong direction as well. Nahdar Vebb is a good example.
      It was more about power and skills.
      The fact, that they were bound to the republic is already something unnecessary to be with the force. They had to be political. In the end they were all about destroying the sith and be good in force and lightsaber, to do so.
      That has nothing to do with the true meaning of being a jedi and one with the force.
      Thank you for your comment, it was a good impuls to think about this theme.

    • @Grandof-the-PentastarAlignment
      @Grandof-the-PentastarAlignment Před 2 lety

      @@Caron-dc3hs Personally Personally I think the birth of Anakin was kind of both. Palpatine and Plagueis created a being that could help them in their conquest, but they didn't truly conquer the will of the force with this act the way they thought as Anakin still had free will as the force intended. Anakin used his free will to throw Palpatine down the reactor shaft, which also means that he killed Palpatine. Lukes actions were necessary to enable Vaders good side though.
      Anakins bad actions aren't solely on him though, the Jedi Order enabled him to continue. Many jedi, even from the council, did questionable things like painfully mindprobing Cad Bane. Were the Jedi Order actually acting according to morality they would have policed members like Nadhar Vebb and Pong Krell more strictly but they were lenient due to the war and the tendency of arrogance in Jedi overall. They entirely ignored the emotional component of its members training, which is why they insist on only children being allowed to join, so they could supress their emotional developement early enough for these issues to not even arise. They were fully aware that this was not possible with Anakin and instead of either letting him leave the order, like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan intended to train him at first, or providing Anakin with actual emotional support which they obviously couldn't because the Jedi were too detached from the reality of the common person, they instead ignored all issues until the situation exploded in rage. The Jedi knew there was something up with the clones as Dooku has ordered them. The reason why they didn't act on those revelations at all is that the Jedi were so detached from reality and second distracted by the war, that they couldn't judge the situation at all.
      I really like thinking about this part of Star Wars as it is a very comprehensive guide to moral actions. Most other stories do not really think their concepts through as much and rather stay a simple black and white dichotomy.
