    Why is Ashwin hiding the source of his character Gangasagar Mishra? Gangasagar Mishra is of course based on Dwarikaprasad Mishra,earlier a follower of Sardar and later known as Chanakya,who is believed to have advised Indira. Smita/Ishaan did mention Brajesh Mishra (Son of Dwarikaprasad Mishra) in the passing. Obviously the two anchors are not thorough and Ashwin hides the character source.

    Sanatan Dharma (Eternal Religion) is the real name of Hindu religion. In Sanatan Dharma, one-size does not fit all. There are many Gods & Goddesses in Sanatan Dharma (Hindu religion) because requirement of blessings, power & inspiration are different in different individuals & also vary at different life time of the same individual. A student recites prayers invoking blessings of Saraswati, a soldier prays before Durga, a ruler before Lord Rama & a singer before Mother Sharda - all to acquire excellence for the purpose of their being - their existence in the world, which is their true Dharma (Religion). Such prayers have potential to bestow excellence to all segments of society unlike other religions where one size fits all.
    In Gita, Krishna revealed himself as the divine Vishnu & directly gave sermons to Arjuna about life & duties of an individual emphasizing the principles of creation, preservation & annihilation. It is considered as the real revelation & guidance from God without distortion through intermediary prophets. For this reason Krishna is also called Jagatguru (Teacher of the World)..
    Krishna explained that those who revere me with devotion (Bhakti), they are in me and I too am in them. In the Bhagavad Gita (IX. 23-25), Krishna proclaims that the devotees who worship other deities are in fact worshipping Him; and that those who offer worship to various other deities reach the goals they desire.
    Before war of Mahabharata, even Krishna prayed before Durga to bless him with victory which symbolized that various deities represent specific powers, blessings & inspirations of God which the devotees must seek in the fulfilment of their duties (Dharma).
    There is a distinction between "worshiping through Idols" and "idol worship". Idols per se have no such value so we immerse idols - so you find firecrackers with pictures of goddess Laxmi being burst during Diwali, Ganesh idols washed ashore after immersion.
    In Hinduism, among the fives senses, visual connect (darshan) to the Divine at temples is given primacy where the idol has been historically installed with specific rituals (Pran Pratistha) to invoke presence of Deity in the temple giving specific blessings & strength to the devotees. No wonder devotees wait for several hours, even days to get Darshan of their Deity. This peculiarity of Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) can be facilitated to create massive domestic tourism at imp religious sites generating huge employment & catapulting economy.
    Klaus L. Klostermaier, former director of Oxford Centre of Hindu Studies, said : “Hinduism has proven much more open than any other religion to new ideas, scientific thought, and social experimentation” & “ It would not be surprising to find Hinduism the dominant religion of the twenty-first century.”

    • @FreeYourImagination
      @FreeYourImagination Před měsícem

      Dharma is not the same as religion. You point out Dharma as duties in one instance, but you continue to use Dharma and Religion in the same sense. Also, there's no ism to Hindu. It's a geographical identity.

    • @gbhatia9809
      @gbhatia9809 Před měsícem

      @@FreeYourImagination Sanatan Dharma (Eternal Religion) is the real name of Hindu religion. There is no word Hindu in any of Hindu scriptures. Sanatan Dharma combines duties with spirituality. Duties are defined in Gita & other scriptures, Spirituality is in temples & prayers.
      In Sanatan Dharma, among the fives senses, visual connect (darshan) to the Divine at temples is given primacy where the idol has been installed with specific rituals (Pran Pratistha) to invoke presence of Deity in the temple giving specific blessings & strength to the devotees.
      In Gita, Krishna finally revealed himself as the divine Vishnu, explaining that those who revere me with devotion (Bhakti), they are in me and I too am in them. In the Bhagavad Gita (IX. 23-25), Krishna proclaims that the devotees who worship other deities are in fact worshipping Him; and that those who offer worship to various other deities or natural powers reach the goals they desire. Bhakti (Bhajan or singing) along with visual connection (Darshan) to God became important part of Hindu religion (Sanatan Dharma) after this revelation.
      HINDU TEPMPLES LAW :
      “Once installed, it is recognised as a juristic person. The idol may be revered in homes but its juristic personality is only when it is installed in a public temple,” said a 2000 Supreme Court judgment.The court said that Hindu law, like Roman law, recognises “artificial juridical person” and that legal entity is as capable of taking offerings of cash and jewels as of land.” Those managing and running them were often not owners. “The entity with some permanence was the idol.” So, an idol could be the owner of land.

If Indians today are naturally smart and good in science and maths, that is a lot because of our ancestors who didn’t waste time in believing just one god but instead believe in seeking God within and outside the world 😌😌🙏🙏❤️❤️

    इतिहास- इति+हास (ऐसा हीं हुआ)
    History- his story ( whose story? )

    • @stuv_wx
      @stuv_wx Před měsícem +1

      "Mythology" comes from the greek word 'Mythos', which has multiple meanings, including utterance, speech, discourse, tale, narrative, fiction, and legend.
      The word "history" comes from the Ancient Greek word historía, which means "inquiry, knowledge from inquiry.

      @vivekpmc1992 Před měsícem

      @@stuv_wx certainly Greek and Bharat had very close exchange along.with trade and culture . Even the name India has Greek origin ...Indica Or Indicus .
      As all of there reference to Bharatvarsh was from river Sindhu ( they call Indus) but our culture and civilisation comes from saraswati river and later Gangetic planes . having all of literaturs and epics come from there and not Sindhu ( which is also referred for Indian ocean , sindhu sagar) .We find lot's of exchanges between Mohen zodaro and other civilisations . So there's no surprise that many sanskrit words were taken and interpreted with their understanding and perceptions.
