      Most teams put a smaller guard on him because they're quicker. MJ is fast af with an INSANE first step, so if they put a bigger guy MJ would just blow by them. They prefer stopping his drive and forcing him to shoot.
      Of course, MJ shot mid range at like 50% lmao so they coudln't really do anythign anyway.

    This man said "Jordan could pass a little." Jordan played 24 games of a season as a point guard and got 12 triple-doubles, averaged 30.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 10.7 assists & 2.4 steals per game. A lot of the guys who guarded Jordan one on one on the perimeter tended to be shorter guys. This is because Jordan was unnaturally quick for his size. So guys who were his size or taller, had trouble staying in front of him. The Cavaliers tried to guard him with players who were his size. He average 45ppg and 40 ppg against them in playoffs of '88 and '89 respectively.

    • @NoMercy4k

    • @cyber6sapien
      @cyber6sapien Před rokem +6

      @@NoMercy4k It's not that they were slow and unathletic. (Obviously not. They are in the NBA). It's that Jordan was unnaturally quick for his size relative to almost everyone else who was that size. The shorter players would do a better job of trying to stay in front of him due to their lower center of gravity. There is an interview on CZcams with Kobe talking about his first time guarding Jordan. (Kobe and Jordan were the same height.) Now Kobe was fresh into the league at 18 years old (1996). Jordan was 32. Kobe said he was guarding Jordan out on the perimeter. Kobe said before he could even react, Jordan spun baseline, and the next thing he knew, Jordan was at the rim laying up the ball. Down the court Jordan told Kobe "It's a lot faster in real life than it looks on tv, isn't it?". Kobe was by no means slow, or unathletic. ESPECIALLY not 18 year old Kobe. But even 18 year old Kobe, was not as quick as 32 year old Mike!

    And all you can say is "Jordan is human like the rest of us, he just works harder...or something."

    seeing MJ getting hammered/clobbered by the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons and other teams reinforced what MJ said about those experiences in that they 'toughened' him up to where he put on more muscle in the off-season and got stronger so that he could withstand the punishment and also take his game to the next level...MJ also helped his team mates develop that extra level of toughness in order to reach their peak and start winning titles...MJ had said in a separate interview that the level of physicality and toughness that the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons had implemented was an important factor when they won their multiple titles...the team that wins the NBA title this year will be the result of them using an offensive blitz from 3-pt land or an all-out street-fight on the defensive side of the ball....cool reaction video!
