    I'm a huge LeBron fan or I used to be anyway he's changed a lot since the early Cavaliers days. Difference is Jordan played every game, went hard every minute he was on the floor, never flopped, never shied away from the big moment as a matter of fact dominated the big moment, played defense and offense and never asked for load management minutes. He hit the big shots when they counted the most, he made his teammates better, he didn't depend on his teammates to carry him, he played thru an Era when other teams attacked him, and he was humble.

    That “unnecessary” move you said he made on the layup against the Lakers in Game 2 of the 1991 Finals actually wasn’t unnecessary at all. If you look to his right as he took flight, there’s a defender who goes up as if he’s going to try to contest and then decides against it (because it’s Jordan 😏). Jordan being an instinctual player (especially when in the air), his peripherals engaged and he switched hands so that the defender couldn’t do anything about it. Everything Jordan did was instinctual. The man was inhuman.

      He also saw Perkins going up to challenge the shot, which is why Jordan switched hands in mid-air. But Perkins pulls back at the last minute. Doesn't go all the way up. That's why a lot of people don't understand why Jordan switched it. If you grew up watching Jordan play, you know that he often anticipated the movement of the defender and reacted to it in real time. You will notice that he pumps his layup at 4:51, because he suspected that Laimbeer might come from behind to challenge the layup. It's a similar type of situation. Jordan did this all the time. Someone answer me this honestly. Noone has ever given a straight answer to this question.
    One of the biggest knocks LBJ fans have when discussing MJ is his 3pt shot. Career I believe he shot just around 30% but only attempted 2-3 3ot shots a game. This was his greatest weakness supposedly and yet he sat right at league average for that Era.
    In today's Era guys are shooting 10+ a game. LBJ shoots 8 a game give or take and is also a 30% and lower career shooter. From 3.
    Now here's the question. How can LBJ even compare to MJ when LBJ FG% is around 30% also. LBJ shooting from 0-3 ft meaning layups, dunks and put backs is a 76%+ shooter. But outside 3 ft. Meaning 4ft- 3pt line is a measly 20-24٪ shooter. How in anyone's right mind can someone be that bad of a shooter and be considered a GOAT by any stretch of imagination. Someone please make ot make sense.
    LeBron simple cannot shoot the basketball efficiently unless he's arms length from rim.

      @libfit9068 Před rokem +35

      MJ's 3pt % was 33% which isn't bad at all, he didn't make 3pt shooting a major aspect of his game only shooting (shooting less than two 3's per game). But he isn't a liability from 3 by any means.

      @@libfit9068 that was kinda my point. He's was average for his Era and that is considered/ argued/ talked about as his biggest weakness in his game. Where it really wasn't a weakness cause he still went off without 3s. Now if 33% career 3 point shooting for MJ is a weakness. What is sub30% career outside of 3 ft for LBJ?

      Also, during that period 3pt shooting was considered a low percentage shot and was not the highlight of the game as it is today. You would never see a center shooting 3pt shots. People also don't seem to understand or appreciate the fact that Jordan was playing like this in a league full of generational talent & HoF level players. Just look at the names he's terrorizing here - Barkley, Bird, Thomas, Wilkens, Olajuwon, Robinson, Shaq, Ewing, Rodman, Laimbeer, Johnson, Salley, Drexler, Mutombo, Mourning, Miller & on & on & on. I disagree with your Era logic a bit. If Jordan was in this Era he would have access to better teamates too, a more spaced floor, be able to gather step, no hand checking, have the best trainers and have longevity like Kobe & Lebron. No other guard in this league would be able to guard Jordan, and it would create unfortunate miss matches. They would have to switch off him onto a big, which he can just fly by, and there is no other Center other than Giannis or Embiid who would really make him shoot more jumpers. But even then, he played against Shaq who is arguably the most dominant center of the past few decades. He's already a more athletic and better playmaker than Kawhi and no one is holding Kawhi really like that either. They would say the league is too soft because you can't touch anyone and people would say Jordan benefited from the modern nba rules, that would be the excuse, and they would discredit an entire generation just like they do today.

    I grew up in the era of MJ. My husband was a sports fan, and I liked football. He introduced me to a basketball game with the Bulls. I became an instant fan of MJ because of his finesse, athleticism, creativity, lack of fear, the way he attacked the ball, and so much more. Watching him during live game was magical.
    Those were the times, to me, when basketball was a real man's game. It was intensely physical; nothing like watered-down versions today where physical contact is a foul -- might as well call it flag basketball; same with football. The NBA and NFL ruined both sports for me. I don't watch either now. What I do know is that MJ NEVER cried, whined, about the type of "fouls" today. Oh no, those would be considered whimpy. However, if MJ felt he was wronged...he got even and brought mental pain specifically to the one who wronged him. He was a beast on the court and a prolific trash-talker that rattled many of his opponents.
    I can confidently say, that if MJ was in his prime and played against players today, he would completely dominate the entire industry. He could play any position, create chaos on the court by his sheer presence, and out-dunk, out-leap, out-fake, out-run, out-score, and out-think anyone today. That's just what I think based upon the basketball of the MJ era vs. today.
