I love seeing the progress you’re making on your wips . The Advent calendar is just beautiful! I’m glad you didn’t give up on Halloween Rules. I loved seeing your garden and your beautiful flowers. I think it’s so fun watching them grow. I, too, have the Merlin app and have had so much fun with it. Some of the birds I’ve been hearing for years I finally know what they are! We’ve been experiencing a cool and wet summer so far in Minnesota. I’m hoping we’ll have a warmer July but I hope we can escape the higher humidity. I hope your mom is feeling better and have a wonderful vacation!

Jacob from Modern Folk Embroidery leaves a lot of negative space on his pieces and it looks gorgeous anyways so you could always keep Wander as is. And your stitch already looks gorgeous. When I was young my parents would rent a cottage on Glen Lake from which we had a view of the Dunes and we went to those Dunes every year. When we got older we would traverse them all the way to Lake Michigan with our metal cantines full of Koolaid and our pb&j sandwiches slightly augmented with sand. Thanks for waking up my good memories of those times.

I would not fill in the words on Wonder with white because it will grab the fuzziness of the blue threads and will not look so white.
