Madrid is far superior to Rome in quality of life, GDP per capita, development index, infrastructure, safety, cleanliness, etc. But Rome is best known internationally for its Roman and Vatican history.

Madrid doesn't have London management.
Roadworks. Temporary traffic lights. Road narrowing schemes. Box junctions with cameras for fining. Congested roads. Red diesel buses stuck in traffic. Traffic lights every 50 metres. Road closures for upgrade works. Pavement clutter. Potholes everywhere. The list goes on. Madrid is free from these nightmares.
This is just beautiful. I lived in Madrid as an Erasmus student and would have stayed there only for I had to come home for my third year of college. Any time I visit, I feel a thrill like I get nowhere else. Thanks for showing us so much, although if you were to do a second video showing the Faro de Moncloa, Palacio Real, Puerta de Toledo, the park in Pirámides and Atocha station, that would be OK too! ¡De Madrid al cielo!

@@gizemkulaksiz6724 My stay was 28 years ago now, so any recommendations I might give you would be hopelessly out of date. 🙂 You have the benefit of being able to do research online before you go though. That means you’ll miss the joy of standing in a phone booth for 40 minutes with a fistful of coins and the latest copy of Segundamano. Good luck though - you’ll love it!

Mi primer viaje a España fue en 1988 y desde entonces he ido casi de forma anual y conozco bastante de toda España y les digo que no hay una sola region, pueblo o ciudad de España donde no me hayan hecho sentir como en casa. Indeed Madrid is a beautiful and modern city. Spain has many other stunning cities like A Coruna, Bilbao, Santander, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Alicante, Ronda, Pamplona, Sevilla, Granada, Malaga, Toledo. And Spain has the most modern, massive and expansive freeway system and railways system. Viva La Reina de Espana. Amor y respeto desde Ciudad de Cebu, Filipinas.
Valencia is the best.
The freeways are very modern but in terms of massive and expansive, it does not come close to Germany, the US or China.
And also in rail, China is largely on top, both in high speed and in connectivity.
But a very underrated transport network nonetheless. One of the best.

@@aymanla471 spanish motorways are cleaner and newer yes, but the way Germany links together all of its dense population is a different level. Germany has roughly the same size as Spain with 2x the population btw. Look on your phone’s map app, basically all those roads you see from far up are 2 lane 120-130kmh roads. Crazy.

Ohhh god! Okay let’s not exaggerate now, Madrid is beautiful but in terms of architecture and overall beauty of the city, it cannot be compared to Paris, Rome,Lisbon or even Budapest. The city is vibrant and has an amazing nightlife and has a lot to offer, but London and Paris has that and a lot more. If you want Spanish architecture and beauty go south.

This is my opinion aswell...Paris has many impressive public buildings in the center but the residential buildings in the center more or less look the same...as for building regulations. Outside of the center Paris is dull, most streets lack trees, the sidewalks are unmaintained and made of ashphalt!!!..it is very dated...

Visited Madrid twice, always thought it was a beautiful and elegant city. Always wondered why it never gets the same attention as other cities such as Paris, Rome, etc.
It gets enough attention from those who matters (the ones who spend their money at it). So it's ok. No more attention, please. Better for both the tourists and the locals.
