My late mother used to make a Sweet & Sour very similar to this. I have adapted her recipe to go with chicken, pork (tenderloin). I use Italian sausage, which I skin, divide into chunks and roll up into balls. All kinds of stuff can be added to this: sliced water chestnuts, whole cashews, Bell peppers of any colour, whatever.

    • @mistergrendel32

Hi Marion, lurvve ur vlog....tonight I've tried the recipe but I changed it up a bit, instead of meatballs I used about 1lb of soft bone pork ribs and they taste soooo good I got a thumbs up from my husband~!! I just parboil the ribs for 20 mins with water and some soju, then drain the water, then fry the ribs in high heat till golden brown (they will turn out like deep fried), sprinkle with salt and black pepper .... onion and the sauce ( I made half portion of ur sauce), and viola~! its actually kinda like sweet & sour pork, so yummn~!

This is also another staple Asian quick and easy fix dinner. Super easy to make and with me I will use what ever fruits I have in the fridge, which is mostly granny Smith apples and pears. Not easy to find fresh pineapple in the UK. I used granny Smith apples because of the crunch that I like and they don't really disintegrate too much if you slice them slightly thicker. This is a must try to me, perfect for a lazy day quick dinner.

Next time I'll reduce the amount of sugar because I used tinned pineapples and the juice is already sweetened and also the amount of vinegar (I used cider vinegar) ... Even so, this still tasted great but just TOO much of a good thing !!!

Hello MARION , YOU LOOK AMAZING as USUAL , IMPECCABLE ...👌 Since you like to know all the latest trends , fads , & kitchen accessories , there is one out that seems to do just what it says ..........
It was designed to do 3 things only , but it does them well ..... .........
    It was a
Made to help out with preparing Fresh Pineapple for a Professional Look while also Saving Wasted Pineapple.................
Usually I'd remember the proper name of this little gadget but for the moment it escapes me , Sooooo for this moment we'll call it the Dimple Plucker .......What it does is this .......
1.) It allows you to barely Skin ( peel ) the Pineapple without even thinking about those Dark Unsightly Dimples ...Thus saving you 3/8" to 1/2" of Puneapple meat you don't have to waste just getting those Dimples gone ..................
2.) It efficiently gouges (plucks ) all the Dimples out saving you a lit of wasted fruit getting rid of those inedible Dimples ...... and Lastly.....
3.) It not only Removes them Efficiently with One Pluck , leaving a nice clean looking Dimple but it actually Removes them Quickly & leaves an interesting looking whole pineapple behind if you wanted to serve it whole or even slices .......
I just thought you'd find this little gadget interesting to maybe add some sort of different visual for your viewers while you prepared some dishes using Fresh Prepared Pineapple .......( L.O.L. )...🍍🍍🍍
By the way , I Love You , I Love Your Channel , I think you're Beautiful , I love your long long hair & miss the way you used to wear it down when you cooked ........I really appreciate when instead of trying to make these dishes so perfectly & an Homage to the original way it was made with a grocery list of ingredients & several steps one has to do & hoops one has to jump thru , but instead Opts to Trim the list of ingredients to the bare essentials to capture the End Flavor with the fewest steps one needs to take to get to a dish that tastes like a correct result of having done everything the right way ....Much like the Infamous CZcamsr with 4 million Subscribers
( he must be doing something right ).SAM THE COOKING GUY ....
He tries to get one off their collective butts by finding Interesting Recipe Dishes then Simplifies them using less ingredients & less steps to still achieve Awesome results .....Some , if not MOST of his Abridged Recipes are just unbelieveable how he achieved the same taste & results doing things HIS WAY .....LOVED CHATTING WITH YOU MARION ...Keep up the Great Work , You Are An Amazing Cook , You are Simply Amazing .....👏👌👍😊😘😎
