    Have a k KALYAN of Nissar Saab of almost same duration sung in his inimitable style. In this Kishoriji has gone into the innermost depth and coated it with unbelievable tenderness.
    And this is khem kalyan a lesser known raga!
    Certainly one of her very best of which there r so many 🙏

    Artists of this caliber are born one in a century. That is not to say that other brilliant singers are not there. They all have their art of a very high degree in the field. However Kishoriji is simply incomparable. This my personal opinion. Ramesh Chiplonkar, London

    Thank you ! The magic of Khem - amazing. Vintage Kishori and it sounds pretty early. Could you provide the date please - even approximate; though knowing Manik Bhide and Padma Talwalkar are accompanying sets the period fairly accurately. Many thanks for this wonderful upload.

      Going by her voice and the vocal accompanists, I would say mid-to-late 1970s. Incidentally, Padma Talwalkar learnt from Mogubai; did she ever learn directly from Kishori-ji?

    • @vivekkhadpekar
      @vivekkhadpekar Před 7 lety +7

      I would say mid-1970s. There is no swaramandal.

    • @008mindspace
      @008mindspace  Před 7 lety +6

      Padma Talwalkar did not officially learn from Kishori Tai, yes, but she openly acknowledges the latter's influence on her. She accompanied KA in many concerts during the 70s.

    • @vivekkhadpekar
      @vivekkhadpekar Před 7 lety +7

      Late in Moghubai's performing career (in the late 1970s) I have seen and heard Kishoritai and Padma (then Jogalekar) providing vocal and tanpura support to Moghubai. There must have been several such occasions, which would be one way of Padma receiving indirect "taleem" from Kishoritai.
