- The wait is finally over! This video showcases all of the hardest moons in the Minimum Mario challenge run on Super Mario Odyssey. This project was extremely fun to work on, but it took a really long time and a lot of effort to make. So if you could leave a like and subscribe, that'd be great!

One question I have though is about day metro skip. By doing a crc with cappy from the painting island you can get to day metro early to collect enough moons to not have to fight the mecha wiggler and collect 3 Mario moons. Obviously this would hurt post game but for the initial story I feel like you might be able to save some moons.
You would still need to get 3 more moons in place of those three in order to leave the kingdom. And there would be only 7 moons to get in captures available in morning metro, since the bunny moon isn’t unlocked until you get peace. So in actuality, that would end up adding a mario moon to the counter. I wish that idea worked but sadly it’s of no use in this run. But thanks for trying!

You can get 22 Mario Moons with a modded switch to go back to 1.0 after getting the cactus moon without losing your save data.
While that may be the case, this run is strictly done without mods in order to push the game to its limits. But that is really cool, I wasn’t aware you could do that!

I think the island moon is only the second hardest moon in a category because of the min caps moon on the wire because you have to do a lot of 2 frame window button presses
Yeah you’re right it’s for sure one of the hardest but it’s definitely not THE hardest bc of TCO in min caps

To me, it looks like the M could also do the same thing as the R glitch, but I haven't tested it yet. It's more consistent and quicker (for me) to get the M out than the R, so that might help.

Yeah it’s been suggested multiple times but Goombas only spawn after getting peace in the kingdom, which we can’t get in this run. Same goes for Glydon

What if you used chain chomp overextension to collect the cascade moon in 1.3?
It’s actually not possible to cross the bridge with CCO because no matter where you go, the chomp always gets stuck and can’t go any further. But I’m going to cover that in the next video and give a better explanation

No I’ve tried and the Chomp just gets stuck. But I’m going to explain it more in depth in the next video

This is litterally the exact opposite of minimum captures
A spanish did a run but you only can collect moons if you are un a capture, if theres no possible moons he get it snd then he get another moons with a captures like cascade, his name is steyb

If you have Nintendo switch online you can factory reset your switch without losing any save data
during lunchen why not place the turnup before hand and then make the trip over
You have to warp to the island checkpoint to initially get up there. If we placed the turnip before warping, it would just be reset once we warp

What if you update after getting all 1.0 moons?
The totals wouldn’t change in that scenario. You would still have 381 moons with 23 Mario moons. The only difference is that you would no longer be on 1.0

Goombas aren’t spawned until you get peace in the kingdom, and sadly we can’t get peace in this run
im confused why you cant use glydon or a goomba for the cactus moon
it's not possible as glydon and goombas are not aviable in the overworld until you finish the last story moon of the kingdom, which can't be collected while in a capture

Because you need to finish the story to unlock the goombas

Sometimes patching out a glitch can inadvertently create a new glitch, but not necessarily
U can get the moon under the big hat tower with a fly goomba I've done it

1.0 has every glitch, and 1.3 is the most updated version with many of the glitches patched out. Both 1.1 and 1.2 just have some glitches patched out while some others aren’t, so there’s not really any point to use those two in-between versions. Although those versions would have different totals

I posted the glitch in the discord server when i found it and not one person had ever seen it before. If you already knew about it then you were the only one
