Wet Sanding a Deep Scratch on a 2019 Crosstrek

So a detailing client of mine just recently got a new Subaru Crosstrek and unfortunately while out shopping he came back to find a deep scratch on his car. He called me up and I said I would come see if there was anything I could do about it. Immediately upon seeing the scratch I knew that it wasn't gonna go away, but we decided I would try and lesson the appearance of it anyway. In this video we will go through the procedure of wet sanding, then compounding and polishing a deep scratch in the paint of a new car. You'll see what you can expect when trying to remove an imperfection of this severity. We'll use 1500 grit sand paper, Meguiar's 105 and 205, then top it off with some Jescar power lock+. We'll also be out in the field, doing some mobile detailing in a parking lot. Enjoy!

hey Tom, what touch up paint would you recommend? looking at dr color chip as well as color n drive currently..

I actually don't do touch up. I don't have a super steady hand and am terrible at painting. That said, I have heard good things about Dr Color Chip. The Rag Company had a good video about it. Here's the link czcams.com/video/ogpm_u7CfMY/video.html

This was actually for a friend, so I kinda just did it for fun. But, I generally charge $100/hour for wet sanding/paint correction work.
