    An educational video, as I've come to expect from you. 👍 Thank you for the years of content. You've motivated me to play a few OPR rounds in New World again. Unfortunately, I only play every few weeks now due to the neglected development of the game.
    I use your build and after thousands of hours, it has become a natural movement pattern and works very well even with longer breaks in the game.
    I'm under no illusions, but perhaps, one day, in the distant future, Amazon's management will decide to invest in the New World project again.

    You are the best tank content creator of NW. I had almost the same build the last season. I farmed 8-9 FD set in total. I must say, I was dealing insane damage and way too tanky.
    I think your build is versatile as well and should definitely be tried by other players. You should also consider having "Trenchant Strikes" perk on your WH. Also SnS perks can be changed depending on play style but the main idea/goal behind your build is just represented perfectly via your perk preferences.

    Didn’t want to do it but I’m aback after a year. If I can’t get full gear perks what would be the mandatory perks on armor besides accel resolve and sturdy energy. Enchanted ward and health?

    • @atlasfishmo
      @atlasfishmo  Před 24 dny

      Yeah I would hold off on buying anything. On October the whole gear score will rise to 725. You can wear frigid dawn and put health

    Can you explain the part where you said the health doesn't show past 19k? Is that for everyone? My tank 500 con is 28k so when players are hitting me they aren't seeing the bar go down until my hp hits 19k?
    Thanks! I think this answers my internal question I always ask myself when dueling people "why is your health not going down?!"

    • @atlasfishmo
      @atlasfishmo  Před měsícem

      Your max health begins to show once you reach your health without any health perks. So I have 4 health perk on body, 2.5% each. Then 7% on amulet. That is total of 17%. So at ~23k, 17% is ~4k. So they will see my health at 23k- 4k=19k. For your build, add the total amount of %health perks you are wearing and subtract that from your max and the remaining health is what opponents need to get you to in order see your health bar. The %health perks act like an invisible shield essentially.

    Tanking became harder in s5. I feel much more incoming damage from skilled players.. AGS want ppl just oneshot each other seemingly. But as far as there's nothing else to play, we will try to carry our tanking culture further in NW...
    As for my set , i find Freedom very useful in PVP. so i have atm 3 freedom, 4 ench,wards, 4 elem.aver, 1 phys aver, 3 slash con perks. Same amulet as you have and 4 onyxes, 4 opals in sockets. But trying smth new from time to time. ;)

      More light armour players and less heavy armour players due to their dps nerf, makes it feel like the damage has spiked. And a lot more spear bleed and poison from artifact. In addition to nature's wrath FS among others. Overall, the challenge of fight is way tanking is fun. If it was easy, no one would appreciate combat tanking.

    • @TheD1SCOnN3CT

      Tanking indeed became way harder than before due to the changes. Now everyone is about one-shotting one another.

    Thank you for all these explanations which will be very useful. But I often have problems, yesterday I was against 2 FS in front of me, I block and they kill me in 2s, I don't understand!!! otherwise good job, thank you!

    • @atlasfishmo
      @atlasfishmo  Před 2 měsíci +3

      Most likely it was nature wrath. It will increase their base damage significantly. For Fire Staff, they can aim pillar of fire to hit behind you and go through block. However, to counter that, you need to constantly be moving while blocking. That will allow you evade the attack without taking any dmg. A good rule of thumb is, the more dps they do to you, the squisher they are. So try to land a few combos when they have abilities on cooldown.

    what's your opinion about grit ward? Is it good for this play style?

    • @atlasfishmo
      @atlasfishmo  Před 12 dny

      You don't need it. 350 con passive and WH grit passive on heavy attacks both provide enough grit protection. Most of the time you taking damage when relocating or while blocking

    What’s the reason you run moonstone+jasper over 2x onyx? Aren’t you missing out on 5% thrust protection this way?

    • @atlasfishmo
      @atlasfishmo  Před 2 měsíci

      100%. It was a last minute change from having all moonstone. But yes, you are correct

    Why u dont play 4x Invig.?

    • @atlasfishmo
      @atlasfishmo  Před měsícem

      Elemental aversion, enchant ward, health is better for well rounded damage reduction. Inv doesn't help against players who have extended debuff duration.

  • @yipp_yippee
    @yipp_yippee Před 2 měsíci

    Notice your heavy use of opal in armor for elemental resistance, no invigorate, and very little thrust protection? Rather than me speculate can you speak a little bit as to why these choices were made?

    • @atlasfishmo
      @atlasfishmo  Před 2 měsíci +1

      My amulet has thrust protection, and chest has physical aversion. Thurst attacks in general are very common, but they do very low stamina damage. With surefooting and battle mobility, you can easily relocate to line of sight while blocking thrust attacks. Invigorating would take away from either health or elemental aversion or enchant ward. All those perks protect against burst damage allowing you to counter. You need to add a significant amount of invogorating pieces to notice a difference. Unlike the other perks where even one piece has a noticeable effect. If dots/debuffs are effecting you, use trenchant recovery on sns and spam heavy attacks to remove them. You can also use purify crit and remove several at once with a crit heavy on sns. In fact, fighting GS if you do this, it's near impossible for them to maintain bleed stacks because sns heavy attacks are just as fast as offensive stance. You can also add purify to amulet instead of divine. Lastly, use desert sunrise, the highest tier.
