I have never owned a truck; been able to get by with a small SUV (Honda Element). 18-35 hours is typical - my guess on the lower end of the scale
Either; It's a Manual Trans., it was rebuilt before you got it, or it's from another Dimension.
I wonder how big of mark ups the dealers will put on pre orders when we get called in to pick them up
I don't think they can do that for a pre order, the price is already calculated when you place the order.
I have never owned a truck; been able to get by with a small SUV (Honda Element). I sold the Element (sadly... it had 309,000 miles on it and looked and ran just great), but miss the utility of a vehicle that could carry six bags of water softener salt or a bunch of mulch.
I don't need a big ol' honkin' truck. Never did, never will.
But the Maverick seems to tick all the boxes: Good size, great equipment, room to haul "stuff," good gas mileage, etc., etc. Good audio is an absolute must. I can live with front wheel drive, but no hybrids for me.
When the hype dies down and dealers are willing to deal, I'll seriously look into getting one of these.
Basically my position. Needed a daily driver with good mpg but occasionally need to haul dirty or awkward sized stuff that just won't work with a car trunk but not heavy. A full size pickup would be overkill 99% of the time.
I still have my 04 Element and going strong…I’m considering the Maverick, Bronco Sport and any Subaru suv, preferably the crosstrek, to replace it.
@@maxolguin4505 I miss my Element. It was my work vehicle; drove from NJ to Maine, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Virginia with about 300 lbs. of tools and equipment. It never, ever, EVER left me stranded.
@@VictorySpeedway I agree, very reliable. The Element has taken my family from Houston to Calgary, Mexico City, Orlando, Utah and points in between, it has never let us stranded. Just two weeks ago the cat converter was stolen; I had it repaired and it’s back on the road. I’m still looking for a vehicle to replace it.
Hey, get those Bronco sports outta here - I want my Maverick this year 🤣
Sweet!!
How many can they produce in a day?
I thought that was my truck until I saw it was a lariot instead of an XLT.
What about the Mercury Bobcat, now that was a cool car to drive and ride in.
I'm waiting to get the chance to sit in one, but as soon as I can I will order one. But in Area 51 blue.
Ordered! Hybrid XLT in A51 blue with Lux Package.
Hey FORD...why isn't this plant in the United States building American vehicles with American labor????
It is cheaper to build in Mexico.
@@michaelw1669 robotics are cheaper in Mexico? It may have been 40 years ago when they moved their plants there before robotics. Can't see it now.
@@timdaugherty5580 Everything is cheaper to build in Mexico just because you don't like it doesn't make it less true. The parts to maintain the robotics cheaper the maintenance for the robotics is cheaper. the rent for the buildings are cheaper the workforce is cheaper.
@@michaelw1669 I don't disagree. The unions priced themselves out of jobs. However the car manufacturers could have done almost as well in the southern states as they are begining to find out.
As someone who used to work for an outsourcing company for Ford here in México I can tell they are very commited and strict with quality and safety for both the product and the workers, they are constantly training their people to work better and better
Bronco Sports being built alongside the Maverick in Mexico
Anybody have a timeframe for how long they take to build?
Build or get ?
10 to 12 weeks too get build one day
16 to 19 weeks for the gas engine - 28+ weeks for the hybrid
@@rguimond Thank you both for the information!
