How does the material the hood scoop is made from hold up in the sun?

I actually prefer that they ran it straight under the rear suspension, I always hated when they ran that loop over the back axle, it would always rot out at that point.

Had my '22 FX4 Maverick 16 months now and 9k miles. Love it! Best daily driver light duty truck ever! I have found the craftsmanship on mine to be mostly terrific. One gripe. The shiny black powder coat on the FX4 wheels is only on the outside where you can see it. Inside the wheels it is thin and many bare patches. Picked up a nail yesterday and took it for repair today so I found that out well when I cleaned the wheel to put it back on in the morning.

I still own what I think is the last of the REAL compact pickups built. 2011 v6 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 extended cab. its built of real steal and minimal computer garbage. Todays ford trucks are thin stamped metal and 4cyl engines with a turbo to force power out of something it shouldn't. Has a standard trans and not some computer drives 8 speed automatic. It has 63k miles on it and has never seen the dealer since driving it away in December of 2010. Ill keep it over any small new truck today.

I over paid for my Maverick Hybrid straight off the lot. Should have said hell no and ordered one instead. Tomball Ford in Tomball, Texas. I love my truck but over paid for it. Never again. And I do want another one.

Is it titanium? Edit all I know is that the truck does everything it's supposed to do. The thing easily punches out side of its weight class . I towed a Chevrolet Malibu probably over 4 k and at speed it didn't even struggle. Getting up to speed it didn't struggle. In a straight line it's quick, it's good on gas, the exhaust is quiet.

Ford should be ashamed of themselves American cars should be built by American hands in the USA …. I’m not knocking the Mexican worker bc the productivity is as much as 2 or 3 American workers … quality is another issue I get it but still it’s just not right , makes me second think purchasing a Ford and I like Ford products.

Just ordered my maverick in alto blue. I think the pickup would look great with these accent pieces, even in the satin black, unpainted style. All black appearance package, too.
