Boa noite meu Amigo !!!! Abraço do Brasil......
From what I have heard, you have to have decades of OTR experience, and even then you have to know the right people to even get interviewed. It is easier to get any other type of team job this is the hardest, because every CDL driver (like myself) would kill for that job. But I guess just keeping a lookout at season's end to see if any of the drivers are retiring or quitting and applying for their job.
Erik Scherer they hire for drivers constantly. I've only had one year OTR experience before I applied and got hired part-time. it also helps that I know a few people in the industry lol.
Unless the team pays you twice what you make now, you do not want this job.. My wife had a coworker who's husband drove for one of the bigger teams. I will not say which. Her and her husband, rode together. He was the driver. She would assist with getting the cars to the track, setting up the pit, shopping for groceries, cooking ALL the meals for the crew, cleaning not only the galley, but also doing grunt work for the race car and equipment. acting as general gophers. They quit after two seasons. They got paid well, but they figured out with the hours they were working, they were making about 15 dollars per hour. That's chump change.
@@erikscherer22 you are completely wrong our next door neighbor drives a hauler for Stewart Haas racing and I know for a fact he has never been over the road
the coolest part is seeing haulers with all the hazard lights in the night
yeah
@@nuggettacoguyperson8841Definitely!

Seen them haulers before Owensboro,ky #88 when was dale jr,
What traffic in Atlanta? You must be crazy.
Had an opportunity to do this recently started doing research that led to this video I have made my decision.......I'm good at my current occupation
Driving pretty trucks is never cracked up to be about the hype. The job looks very hard and you can say it's a life-style/then job.
its really funny how they did this...when they didn't have any money
Old Red Bull haulers
How can I get on driving, been driving 28 yrs hauling houses and oversize
Who Drives Kevin Harvicks Hauler?
how do they roll in for the first race of the season, there are no points. Do they go by the ending points standings from the previous season?
SimRacinJordan yep they use the pts from the previous season
I wish director, writers, uploaders, etc would stop playing music while people talk. Damn that's annoying.
Do they need to stop at the weight stations like other trucks
Craig Pinto any vehicle used commercially over 10,000 lbs needs to be weighed.
So my Ram allready weighs over 6000 lbs,and if I let enough fat girls in the back I could be fined by dot?
Or would they be considererd livestock? Just askin.Thats all.
Yes. These trucks are subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations. .
Look it up.
if they are receiving purse money then yes, because they aren't RV's
I been driving big rigs all kinda different trucks, how do I apply to become a big rig driver & help do unload/reload plus learn equipment?

That would fun for a while, but team driving sucks.
Lol
They have Volvo haulers. Ew! They should have something American, like a Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Freightliner, or Western Star
Or they can have whatever kind of truck they want to? Volvos are incredibly nice trucks honestly. Pretty reliable and very spacious inside
This job is cool but totally not worth it for the money they get paid
Volvo, not impressed.
