I've been driving for almost 25 years, flawless record other than an overweight violation. This would be my dream job. Beautiful equipment, always an experience, and always a challenge. Hats off to all the drivers that got the opportunity to do this for a living. To a driver, this would be our version of winning the lottery. I live about 2 miles from the Ky speedway, watching these rigs coming in is always a treat, whether its nascar or indy cars coming into town, it's an amazing sight.

I haven’t been to a real nascar race. But I’ve seen some famous people race at my local track in Pensacola called Five Flags Speedway. I’ve seen Jeff Gordon, Danica Patrick, Joanna Long, Tony Stewart, Dale Jr, Jimmy Johnson, and Martin Truex race here. They’ve all competed in the Snowball Derby which is like the Daytona 500 for the short tracks. Joanna Long has won 2 of em and won one of them at 16. Jeff Gordon won one and Dale Jr won one.

It does make you wonder what the pay structure is like for race team haulers. Normal OTR truckers are paid by the mile. These guys obviously aren't working or at least not to the same capacity during the off season. Are they paid a retainer? Are they just straight salary? How does all of that work.

Ic sadly never seen a hauler in person and the only nascar vehicle iv seen is a bill elliot mcdonalds car in the New Oxford racecar museum, but in 2019 I did get to see Kyle Larson and retired nascar cup series Champion Tony Stewart in the same dirt race in PA.
