This is fun, but at times exhausting! watch as we experience both working for JR. Motorsports. inquiries: shum.jax.info@gmail.com IG: @shumunush weekly podcast: @steadyatthewheel
As a retired trucker i found this fascinating! I have watched many nascar races but 5his is the first time ive ever seen the trucking arrival part. Many t h anks for doing this!!
You need to watch videos from when they go to Las Vegas they have what is called the hauler parade where all trucks are paraded down the strip and there’s like thousands of people that line the streets while all trucks go bye blowing the air horns it’s a pretty cool sight too see!!
Not just Vegas. We have been watching it in the southeast for many years. The West Coast is behind......( more than 4 hours)....lol@christopheronstott2358
Man…the logistics of a race team is unreal. From building the car to setting it up to traveling with all the equipment onto practice and racing. The hotel and motels for crew to flying drivers in and out. Incredible!
37:00 He called it! 😂 We landed & ate breakfast watching it rain, when we made it to the track it was dry. I'm a secondary spotter on the 02 car, I saw you at COTA but I was on my way to the truck garage to switch my radios out. If you're at any more road courses I'll definitely stop by & say what's up! I appreciate the videos, the sport needs more behind the scenes content out there. 🤙🏽🏁
The video starting at 42:10 is the best. It really shows just how those trailers are so efficiently designed. Every square inch is used. And they are certainly beautifully outfitted. I have garage and tool jealousy.
I had to stop driving about 10 years ago. I miss that ole Pete. This was so much fun. I really enjoyed this. I love when the camera is behind the wheel. Thank you
Great Video. ! Drove for 45years. Ran several times with a group of haulers Back in the Day. Used to have a lot of north/south runs. So alot of I 81. I 85 or I 95. Got so bad. I went back to the shop and put in a set of 325rears in my truck so I could keep Up. Truckin was really great back in the Day. Looks like you guys still have a great time. Though. ! STAY SAFE OUT THERE. ! Keep up the Great Videos. 🇺🇸🏆🏁
The precise driving skills of the truck drivers. I was amazed in the Lane change to the left lane. To pass the Prius drivers and Loaded Semi's and all came back in together. WE all did ! I was glued to my mirrors then the road ..Just as skilled as the teams they Rep ! I felt like a team driver for 20 miles . Thank you !! Who ever it was !
Hey Jax, thank you for the awesome video!! I LoVe JR Motorsports and all of their drivers!! I appreciate the walk thru of everything that goes on to park the semi!!!! Thank you for bringing us along on your adventure buddy!!!!!!!!
Great content! I've always wanted to see the BTS side of Nascar. Can't wait for part 2! I was seriously about to ask for a timelapse of the unloading and you delivered!
Oh I miss this! Washing the haulers down was just one of my many jobs working for a race team. My boss (car owner) ran high end used dealership that included classic to last year of vehicle. I was professional Detailer, helped put race car together (late model dirt). I never dreaded going into work! Worked there for about 15 years. Boss finally retired. Sigh.. Thank you for bringing back memories 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🏁
Awesome video! Cool seeing it from the perspective of the car haulers! And loved your “auctioneer” cb chatter and the “British/Australian” commentary! You crack me up! Thanks for sharing and keep it up!
As usual, another highly entertaining episode. Also highly educational for me. I always wondered what the responsibilities were for a racing team truck driver, but I did not realize that each team has a small travel crew. Very interesting to see all the duties of the travel crew; a lot more involved than I expected or ever thought.
Terrific video and look into the backstage of racing people don't think about or see much of. Thanks for this! Also great to see the camaraderie of the drivers and y'all helping each other get the cars out and trucks unloaded. Nothing like good ole team work. Be safe out there.
Thank you for showing us this part of the Race weekend. I love Semi trucks specially clean, chrome, polished out Fancy trucks like you guys are blessed to drive.. What an Awesome video driver... 👊👊👊
Ummm WOW I think I'm the one who suggested calling Chris the Carolina reaper...cause he's burning up the asphalt. It's great when ya leave a comment...and the CZcamsr actually notices. I'm not used to that. LOL 😂😂 you have always replied to my comments...and I thank you very much for it bud.👍✌️
Great perspective of what happens behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing I have always wondered what this would be like and their is much more to it than I thought. 👍🏻
Could never do what you do but this gave me a great perspective of the unknown in race-car driving; the hauling aspect! Amazing job! Some good English accent tones but I can definitely help you on that!
That was very cool! I've been to a lot of tracks but never knew all this went on behind the scenes! Thanks for sharing and Good luck with everything my friend!
I've been glued to these videos..... the group together reminds me of what the roadcrew of a rock band SHOULD be like BUT isn't .... I'd LOVE to be a part of that hard yet fun work. I've reach a time in my life where I am past desiring that type of work.
What an incredible achievement to be part of this Crew. They don’t let just anyone sit behind the wheel of one of those rigs. A $2 million dollar rig with $5 million dollar load. I’m honored you’re taking us along.
Hello there my friend. I truly hope you and your family are doing great. Much love from West Virginia. Hope to see an episode of the podcast come out soon...no hurry...I understand that ya,ll are busier than a puppy with with two...ya know what I was going to say... gotta keep it family friendly. Love ya,ll.👍✌️🙏🙏
Hi Jax and Chris! Thanks for the ride along. Jax and Daryl you guys are naughty, a man’s wallet and a woman’s purse are not to be messed with!! But hey, it was hilarious!! The parking situation is ridiculous!! I would have been angry also! Jax have fun, but not too much, and stay safe!! #5 yet? ❤️🙏
I happen to watch this particular video this morning at my shop @ Sonoma Raceway and it just so happens that those cars are running here this weekend for the first time ever! So I went out to the paddock and looked up those guys and came across “Hollywood” and told him that I had just watched this video and he joked with me and said “want to borrow $20?” He was standing next to the driver that he had taken his wallet from and the three of us had a great laugh and then Hollywood said you are a GREAT GUY and that I should subscribe to your channel! I told him that I already did! What are the chances that something like this could possibly happen! I had never seen your channel before this morning!
Off topic…I picked up on his constant glancing or scanning. When my dad got his CDL’s 50 years ago one thing he remembered from his test was listing at least 100 things he could see within one to five miles. So that’s how I learned.
I think it's cool how the drivers help one another get unloaded. I wouldn't have guessed that's how it worked. Very interesting info. I've been a NASCAR fan for many years and never really knew how the trucks worked, thanks! 👍
My guys and I just raced there for GT World Challenge back in May. When you guys go back next year, there's a restaurant you gotta try called Javi's Best of Tex Mex right by the airport if you like Mexican. You will NOT be disappointed!
Years ago my brother -in- law drove a truck for Dale Jr before he left DEI grate job guys love the content. I wonder if any of them new David Hicks or bugs
My cousin drove for Morgan McClure racing. I've heard the good and bad of things. When his mom passed. The whole race team came in their racing duds to the funeral home. It was very nice.
Use to Run with some teams on their way to Texas motor speedway in 97 across Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and into Texas when I was a carpet hauler out of Dalton Georgia. After I retired I see them in quartzite Arizona at the pilot fuel stop.
Hey there, I just stumbled onto this video, and ya all had me laughing so hard! My husband and I are HUGE Nascar fans. We are friends, with the souvenirs hauler duo Jody and Betsy R that sell all that Kyle Bush stuff, my man is Harvick. I don't know what the heck I am going to do next year? But my in law😊s are all cdl licenses and drive those big trucks.. even my mighty mother in law drove cattle truck with her husband, but she got dx with cancer behind her knee. We, l she ended up with an above the amputation. When she healed 😢she was ready to go trucking , she wanted no help from anyone, and sure enough, she crawled in and out with zero problem. Well keep on trucking o0m
Thanks for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed it. Can’t wrong with old school harvick. Wouldn’t it be cool if they did an 8 race “seniors” series?! I think it would be wildly popular.
wish Jr would have some of you on his show take care our there had a friend who just passed away he was a retired trucker James would have loved this video
Jax, i was a bike messenger in ny and dc.....parked that close together and a door opens , there is no way out but up and over...... this is stuff of nightmares between two drivers while pedaling a "load" while moving. You look over and someone is on the phone. I feel your pain, trucker
Man…. this was an incredibly enlightening video. When I first saw the title I was like, wow that sounds boring as $hit, but after watching a little of it, now I KNOW it’s boring as $hit!!! Well done.
Absolutely impressed,,never was a nascar fan,,but certainly will be looking forward to watching again, just unreal the work you guys do, and you Absolutely made it intertaning to see
You driving for JRM is so exciting. I’m going to Road America in WI Jul 29th. My son Nic’s friend Bobby WISCO-WASH will be washing your truck. I ‘ll be with my kids & their families camping at the track.
When you look at something like this. Space is a premium these days. I can understand why the likes of you guys aren't happy, but when you look at it at a official point of view and how many trucks you need to get in. I can understand why every thing is so tight. Just gotta be crafty and be extra careful.
Used to know a lot of those drivers. Met a lot of them up on 81st street I would run the front door for them coming south through Virginia had a lot of good time with those fellas.
Man I would love.. I mean absolutely love to be a part of that. Huge fan and I've been to races all over the country. To use my CDL to be able to do this would be a dream. Thank you for the videos
Did u got out with them to Portland can’t wait to see more NASCAR stuff my dream job to drive a hauler for NASCAR probably hard to get into love ur stuff keep it up might see u out on the road
This is pretty awesome. My parenrs made me take naps at talladega on the blechers. Back before it was seats. They were concrete. Haha. So racing has been a huge part of my life. This is one of the more interesting things ive seen. I have to send this to them to see.
hi jaw enjoying the nascar i’ve done european F1 tours . fun fact in normandy france on a calm sunday you can pick up american cb radio as clear as day
It’s partially because many of them are using illegal amplifiers. My Grandfather back in the day would run a 1000 watt amplifier instead of the 5 or so watts that was the legal limit. Recently the FCC cracked down on some guys in the Hampton Roads area that were broadcasting illegally - so much so that the receivers had to be choked down so that it did not overload the front end of the radio. They were given a big monetary fine and told not to do it again. Right…. Add in a little skip with just the right atmospheric conditions and you can send out for many thousands of miles. Across the Atlantic Ocean is pretty common at that frequency. Hams do it legally all the time.
As a retired trucker i found this fascinating! I have watched many nascar races but 5his is the first time ive ever seen the trucking arrival part. Many t h anks for doing this!!

If you enjoy race trucks look up Bathurst 1000 trucks it's the Australia's biggest car race
Not just Vegas. We have been watching it in the southeast for many years. The West Coast is behind......( more than 4 hours)....lol@christopheronstott2358
YES SIR! This is what ive wanted to see for a LONG time
Man…the logistics of a race team is unreal. From building the car to setting it up to traveling with all the equipment onto practice and racing. The hotel and motels for crew to flying drivers in and out. Incredible!
Yeah, there's definitely a whole lot more to it than people thinks about, that being said is an understatement
The amount of big rigs in the entire Nascar fleet always blows my mind😮 such a good video to experience secondhand 🔥😂 what an experience 😅
37:00 He called it! 😂 We landed & ate breakfast watching it rain, when we made it to the track it was dry. Trucker be truckers. I used to write a monthly article for Truckers News on Nascar Truck drivers.
Always so nice to meet and interview !!!
No kidding? That’s cool man

Perfect timing to put out this video! Cup race started with a lightning delay, so now I can watch this!
What a great video Jax . Nice too see how everyone takes pride in their work. 🇺🇸👍🏻

Dale jr. We need more videos of this guy following your teams!!!! Love all of this!
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for the content. As usual things made more complicated than they need to be by NASCAR.
What an incredible achievement to be part of this Crew. They don’t let just anyone sit behind the wheel of one of those rigs. A $2 million dollar rig with $5 million dollar load. I’m honored you’re taking us along.
This video is one of the coolest trucking vlogs I’ve watched in quite some time. You got one cool job driver

Help comes easy when the paychecks for the 1, 7, 8, 9, and 88 teams are all signed by the same person.

The truck stop y’all are at is right down the road from my house. When the video started I thought that place looked familiar.
Gotta love the no room when the leave y'all 2 feet of space and can't open your doors on the trailer
Great video!
Cool video. I learned a lot. Thanks! By the way I did attend Phoenix NASCAR 2023.
