Spain is the king of parties and no party is bigger or better than a traditional Spanish festival. Every town across Spain has their own special festival in the year. These events can be tied to their Patron saint, a historical event, or a crop that's harvested (La Tomatina).
In this travel vlog, we take you with us to the town of Peñafiel for San Roque. This week long event involves a lot of drinking, eating, dancing, and even bulls! It's a side of Spain most tourists never get to see. We hope you enjoy it!

Spain... the people and culture are wonderful...love this country. 😊 Go if you have the opportunity.❤
Couldn't agree more!
Viva San Roque! Viva el Chundara! Peñafiel ❤
gracias por tenernos
What a crazy festival, I love that you got to spend more time with your family there.
They definitely know how to PARTYYYYYYYY!!!!! That looked like a lot of fun. It's always interesting to learn about other countries and their culture. Gracias!
Agree! Definitely different from us in every way! But the fiesta was a blast.
Gracias! :)
My Dad loved Blood sausage from his Italian family. 😊
My wife is from the Peñafiel area. I just see me at the Chundara in your video. I hope you enjoyed it very much. We are always welcoming people!!
Que genial! Gracias por verlo.
Me Han encantado sus videos en España. I’m going hopefully in May to the south coast to visit family for first time, and catch a cruise. But, ahora quiero conocer Peñafiel tambien. Again thanks for sharing your time en España.
I hope you have an amazing time! Where is your family in the south? Big city or small village?
🙏🏼 gracias guapa 🇪🇸
I lived in Peñafiel till I was 14. This bring me so much memories...
That was great!!! Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you!
We have never been to Spain. Very cool to see the “Running of the Bulls” thanks for sharing this with us!!! Especially those yummy meals 😊
Thank you for coming along! Hope you make it there one day
WOWZERS!!!! That looks incredible!!!!
It was WILD!
looks like a great time! super cool!
It was a blast, thanks for watching. ☺️
This looked like so much fun!!!! I'm sure you had a fantastic time!!!!!
It was a blast!
What a great video!!! Thanks for sharing this beautiful culture with us!!!
Thank you for joining!
Did that sign at 1:32 say Nebraska?
Thank you for sharing. Wild. Great reminder what a sanitized culture many of us live in, protected at every every turn from the thought or smell of any risk. That said, I'm never running with bulls.
Haha us either!
Protos is a very good wine.
It really is 😁
That was fun. They definitely like to party. Similar to Mardi Gras in the States? 🥳💖🙏✌️
I think that is the closest type of celebration for sure!
Bull fighting is no joke. You know what they say…..”you will get wet on this ride.” 😀😀
Yes. It's a serious activity. I was shocked 😳
Epik awesome video
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Si volviera a nacer volveria a nacer español.
I had to fast forward during the bull fight - just not my thing (even though I ate a hamburger last night 🙄). I saw a bull fight “exhibition” many years ago in Toledo, Spain - no death, but I didn’t really care for it. Now a water fight? I’d be in! 😂
Water fight for the win! Totally get it. I chose not attend the bull events personally.
Bulls can jump, yes, take care guys.. Spain is different 😂
What do they do with the dead bull?
They eat it.

Well, that looked like fun!
Yes this is why we tried to remain neutral and didn't share our personal opinions on it. We know there is never a simple answer and everyone has different beliefs and practices. What some like others don't. Nothing is ever that simple.
Nah. Making up a scenario where it’s somehow ok to torture a bull to death because it is a “skill” is just what people tell themselves so they can sleep at night.
@@kristym6516 Im Spanish and i dont approve the bull figthing, but you just cant come here and say that without knowing its culture and significance
Interesting to see ..except I can’t deal with the bull getting stabbed.. but the rest was good.
Yes. Good thing we didn't show that 😉 it is absolutely awful but is a reality
@@EatSeeRV yes, glad for that. I heard you say no gory parts but I still looked away. We are enjoying your world travels!
I'm from Spain and I'm AGAINST bullfighting.
This must stop ASAP.
Yes I know many people from Spain are against it. It's a very divided topic
Negativo, te jodes
Oh yeah they're a bunch of drunks in the fiesta I hate the bull butcheries.
Yes the bull experience is sad. If you don't like it though there are other activities
Bullfighting and bull running are completely cruel and dangerous and should have no place in this day and age. Spain is still very very backward and while it is may be a developed country, it is still going to take a long time for it to become a civilized country. Every year, many people are injured or even killed at bullfights and bull runs and the whole thing is absolutely cruel to the animals. Goading them and provoking them. It is just sickening. Yes, it might be part of the culture, but cultures are not static and do evolve and basic things like health and safety and respect for animals as well as other human beings has to be the priority over providing cheap entertainment and spectacle for the masses. These kinds of events only persist to keep ´the masses´ happy and not questioning society and their how their government runs. Keeping them distracted through cheap entertainment at the expense of animals and with no regard for the safety of even young children attending, let alone adults.
I have loved my journey with Eat See RV, but I regret to say that this has come to an end.
I believe strongly in the idea that it is natural for humans, as apex predators, to eat meat. However, I also believe strongly in the idea that this should be. humanely and respectfully done. I seek to be as non-judmental of human behavior as is possible, but bullfighting is neither humane nor respectful of animals. I do not condemn what I saw here, but I do choose to divest myself from it, which includes, very unfortunately, unsubscribing from your channel.
Why do the bulls jump over the safety barriers? Because they are stressed out of their minds.
I will miss you guys.
Shame you feel leaving is the only right thing to do when we simply shared a part of a cultural experience in a place that we do not personally believe in or condone either. But you do what feels right for you. Appreciate you being with us for the time you were.
@EatSeeRV I appreciate your reasoned response, and I am open to discussing the matter further to understand your motivations better. Perhaps, I may resubscribe and continue sharing your journey once I understand.
So, I feel that attending a bullfight, or a dog fight for that matter, condones the event, unless someone has stated specifically that they are only documenting. But, I saw the party that surrounded the event, including the running of the bulls (also highly stressful for the animal), as a celebration of the lack of respect for these animals. I am not concerned about humans being injured if they choose to partake. So I could have perhaps understood your attendance of the event for either documenting or even for personal experience. It was actually the celebration, which you obviously enjoyed (and highly promoted) that catalyzed my position. I may have not watched carefully enough, but I don't recall a disclaimer that you guys didn't condone the activity and that you were there simply to show the world what modern bullfighting is like. Not condoning for me would be something like saying that this video is only for the purposes of documentation.
It seemed to me that you took a "to each their own" attitude about the event. And I understand this, I do not judge the event. I would have to be perfect to do so, and I am not. However, I strongly believe in energy, and I do not wish to have the energy of celebrating cruel and disrespectful actions towards what is tantamount to helpless animals in my reality.
One more thing. I read a lot of Hemingway in my youth, and I loved it. It would be normal for me to go back and read Hemingway again one day as I have largely forgotten the content of the books, but I will only do so after I have done some research about the ethics of his literature. I apply the same principle to Hemingway as I am applying to Eat See RV (contingent upon your response).
No verdad? Eso no esta de moda
Vete, vete
Never liked anyone that likes to see animals tortured. Did not watch that section and could care less about tradition. Torture is tourture. Good bye and I hope many other subsribers leave too.....
Totally get it. Sad you would unsubscribe but do what feels right for you.
I agree. Now, go watch a documentary about the mass-killing of animals to produce the hamburgers you eat. In your own country.
