I like to split the newer Minecraft youtubers and old ones into two sections generation 1 and generation 2, I will not lie without the Minecraft youtubers I grew up watching starting in 2010 my childhood would have been very different so thank you to all gen 1 youtubers and in general thank you to the community for bringing this game back.

I can remember that the pre-hype and golden age were the one that truly pushed me to where I am today. If not for those modded showcase and mods I've tried, I won't be able to become a web developer and Minecraft Mod Dev.
Years later, 7 years after my first attempt to learn Java, I finally released a beta version of my first mod. I owe my entire future to Minecraft and those CZcamsrs who molded me to push my limits and learn to program. :')

I use to be obsessed with DanTDM, I looked up to him as a child, I binged his current videos a few days ago, and listened to the 2 Minecraft parodies he did back in the day, and it was amazing, I shalt now watch one of his Minecraft mod showcases now, specifically my favourite one, the superman one
This nearly brought me to tears… I never left Minecraft videos ever I always loved all the creepy pasta videos and especially the modding community! Minecraft will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️

I’ll be honest here. During the Golden Age, I was in middle school and was severely bullied because I have autism. Minecraft was my only escape from the pain. Soon, my friend introduced me to his friends. I asked them if they played Minecraft and we all nerded out for the entire day. One of those friends became my boyfriend. He does redstone while I’m sharpening my building skills.

i watched the videos i used to watch like 5-6 years ago and i got emotional thanks for this video
its kinda funny how i was just getting into minecraft in 2016, when it was dying and that game has never bored me even till now.
Some OG's that I remembered where Stampy, IBallisticSquid, IHasCupQuake, PopularMMO's, The DiamondMinecart, SkyDoesMinecraft, Atlantic Craft, Captain Sparkles, and Aphmau.
I remembered when my parents first bought the game for me. I didn't have Xbox live at the time so I never updated it, it was the update where there was only the endergradon, villagers that you can't trade, no iron golems, only wheat, and the first minecraft tutorial which was the castle. So I sometimes go back to my old worlds on my Xbox 360 and play in them. Minecraft may not always be in the spotlight but will always have a spot in my memory and heart ^-^
CupQuake ,Pat and Jen, Dantdm were my entire childhood and all I remember from then. I watch some CupQuake but not like before, Dan I just got tired of, and Pat and Jen the ones who truly made me smile made me cry when they broke up.

The only big difference between then and now seems to be that people are more interested in competitive minecraft (manhunt, pvp) instead of casual (parkour, arcade games).
But there’s always a chunk of relaxing casual Minecraft, like wadzees hardcore series, or hermit craft.
Ikr, I used to play survival back in 2012-2014 And now i just came back to minecraft and focused on bedwars, Skywars/pvp.

I liked the 2011 era. The community was much smaller than now, yet this game was already one of the most popular games for CZcams letsplays. Despite being an indie game, it blew up really fast. Back then we had NO IDEA that this game would grow to be as huge as it is today though. A lot of people thought Minecraft would die just like a lot of other games. But it didn't.

I also think that the last golden year of Minecraft CZcams was 2015, and I also agree that it was hell directly afterward. I agree with a lot of the points brought up in this video, as I was also watching Minecraft CZcams in a lot of these years (mainly after 2012). I really miss the old times of Minecraft CZcams. I watched it a lot from 2013-2015 and it bored me after that. I cannot believe how long ago this time period was.

It’s like the human eras. When we we’re born in the early days, basically simple. Endless green things, clean water, balanced weather (less rain but also less heat), and much more.
When we became more advanced, we got some more advanced tools and strategies, we learned language, and we also learned teamwork.
Then came the wars, endless world wars that took 400 years just to end (while some countries are safe, many of them are not), everyone kills everyone, basically brutality
Now came the solution to all. Modern humans now, everyone helps everyone now, though there are still conflicts, it’s more of verbal than physical conflict. No more wars

There is only one Minecraft CZcamsr I still watch consistently to this day. Ethoslab. He impacted the game and the platform of CZcams so much and has been it at for 12 years I think. He has probably the most or one of the most Loyal fan bases on CZcams. He’s going through a rough time right now but his return will be glorious.

I grew up partially in Switzerland, during the era of the older mc youtubers, and I loved minecraft in that time.
I didnt know english, infact, I didnt even know that these youtubers existed.
Instead we had our german variants, but man am I jealous of yall for having gotten to experience these youtubers.
