Ghana was an extremely tough opponent. The hardest for Germany alongside Spain. Serbia had major luck. But how can you say Germany was bad in the 2010 WC? :D They were arguably the best team and scored 5 more goals than the 2nd highest scoring team in that tournament. Germany had 3 games where they scored 4 goals and 1 where they scored 3. Hardly bad! :D

As for Ozil he never played badly for Germany, even in 2018 he was one of their most effective players in a highly ineffective side. Though I was a fan of his when he played football sometime after 2014-2016 it did start to feel like he viewed his homeland as Turkey instead of the place he was born an raised with quotes like he would pray in Turkish during the German national anthem.... i mean that does sort of hint to where his mind was at.
