What kind of a pretentious douchebag charges $100 an hour for work my kids so in the summer? Probably the same guy that actually expects people to watch a 50 minute video of him playing with a hose.
Well I guess since the video has 176,582 views, 1,390 likes to a measly 173 dislikes and 497 comments (Nearly every one of them being positive in nature), I guess THIS pretentious douchebag... Thank you for participating tho... I appreciate your time to comment and further boost this videos popularity across CZcams and help aid the building of this pretentious douchebag's bank account. Anything else I can answer for you?
@@DansVlog ya, what's your cpm and average watch time on this video? Probably super low. "View" doesn't mean people are watching it .. and you just wrote a comment about yourself in the third person. You're definitely a pretentious douche. Who does that?
lmao id charge 300$ for that driveway and be done in a hr they are lucky its just 100$
@@orlandofuentes2635 and you'd probably use their water too and drive up their water bill. Can't stand assholes like you guys that make a living ripping people off. It's one thing to provide a service, but your service isn't worth shit.

thank god; finally someone who rinses their work off before it dries on surface!!! Can't tell you how many videos on youtube infuriate me with no rinse prior to drying lol. thank you; you da man, good good job on video
Zach is wild
I forgot to rinse the work today, it is like starting over from the beginning.
Rinse and spray a light sodium hypochlorite mix afterwards. To kill anything left. And leave evenly clean looking when dried. You can add a lemon surfactant to the mix also. To leave a fresh scent. If you don’t like the bleach smell.
I’m in Connecticut been watching your videos for weeks now as I start my own pressure washing company thanks your videos trained me and gave me a lot of knowledge(Btw) Anyone who’s serious about pressure washing for a living will watch the whole video
how are u now
I found that a 48" wand (vs. the standard 36" wand) is more comfortable and keeps me from having to bend at all and reduces back pain/strain. I am 5'-7" Also, I purchased one of those ball valves and swivel units that eliminates the kinking/twisting hoses and eliminates the need to go back and shut off the PW when I need to change attachments. I know this video is almost 2 years old and you may have already purchased these items, but someone may find it useful.
Methodical2 I agree!

this guy is 🔥. i just spent 3 hours doing a driveway about the same volume without that attachment and made $100. 🤦🏼♂️ guess i’ll be buying this! thanks!!
Stephen McAllister just please wash the garage door off with the driveway.
3 hours on one driveway? Yikes. It is good money though.
Love watching you pressure wash, it is very satisfying and relaxing. Great job Dan!!!
This was oddly satisfying. I can't believe I just watched the whole thing. I don't even have a driveway!
jeepkid518 lmfao u aint bullshitn
@jeepkid518 and no life apparently!
jeepkid518 I know right I have a car port parking spot in my apartments lmao
Marco Palomino you can actually do garage floors which is actually what we use. You can do tile floors basically any floor
@Marco Palomino I use my surface cleaner attachment on wood decks, brick and concrete walls, sidewalks, driveways front and back porches. Lots more than just a drive way.
These surface cleaners are definitely the way to go. A while ago I went from the regular nozzles to a turbo nozzle, which was a definite improvement. But the surface cleaners are a BIG improvement over the turbo nozzle. It's just the right tool for the job.
Agreed
After that nice power wash job, have a virtual beer on me Dan 🍺 Hope this helps contribute to that CZcams algorithm
You read that comment too?
Why did I find that video so relaxing? Great video.
Cause I did all the darn work!?!? 😂

thank you for the no music. great introduction. straight and to the point : )
Not many youtubers know the art of sticking to the point "what's up what's up youtube, let me talk about my lost wallet" and its a video on reviewing his experience with his trucking job. Smh
Bought a Dewalt 18" surface cleaner and Dewalt 3300psi/2.4 gpm around 2 weeks ago. About to start doing this as a side gig. In addition to detailing. Thanks for showing I can do it.
Dan dear, you made my day! I love a good pressure washing video. I loved to see things being cleaned or tidied. Great job!
Thank you Wanda!!
keeping a clean house +yard is great for guilting your neighborhood into also being cleaner
Vollick glad ur neighbors made u feel bad about ur dirty yard and house
Vollick that is your privilege coming through in your statement. Try living in the hood. It’s a struggle just paying the property taxes. And then coming up with bus fare to get to work. Don’t guilt your neighbor. They already may feel helpless. The ac went out 3 years ago. We’re still saving for replacement. The tree that the branch fell off of that hit the central air unit, needs to get cut down. I got an estimate on that, and it’s almost $4,000 to have it cut down. I can’t even afford to cut the tree down that causes problems. So instead of guilting your neighbor, maybe meet them, and offer to help when they’re out working. You might just meet a new friend, and you never know when you may need some help. My car was older and only had liability coverage. And the guy that hit it didn’t have a license or insurance. So I’ve been slowly getting that back up and running. That alone will save me 2.5 hours of travel time a day. So I’ll be able to get another second job again. And get some money to fix some things. I’m hoping to start a power wash service then. I’d do this driveway for $50. It’s $50 more than I started. And it’s only $5 in gas. I can’t wait til I can get me $100 for a driveway. I’ll work 18 hour days and be straight in about 5 years. And then finally get me a 2010-2012 Ford F-150 truck i been dreaming about. Guilting a person on the edge of making ends meet, is cruel.
The perfect procrastination video
This is si so satisfying. Right now im cleaning the floor of my backyard with high pressure water. I love doing that job.
Dan the man with the plan! Good job buddy! I seen your competition ride by checking you out. Lol
Nice. You should put a before and after when it's dry.
For the people saying
You can buy these for 100 bucks
It's outside it'll get dirty anyway
A good pressure washer costs atleast 300 - 700 bucks (karcher k7)
Alot of people don't have the time or pyshical endurance.
Keep up the good work!
Leather Neck stfu
Physical endurance? ROFL, quit eating paint chips my guy
cool video man. been looking into getting one of these... seems simple enough to use.
Great work Dan you videos are very interesting I start doing power washer and you videos help me big time God bless you friend keep it up
Looks a 100× better!
Yes it does!
That garage door looks horrible in contrast.
If Whirl-a-Way and Roomba got together this could go fully automated and cut out the middle man.
LincolnTek if you don’t put pressure on it it’ll fly away but that was funny lol
Good job , I'll have to look. Into getting one , thanks
Solid sir solid! Thanks for the guidance here on CZcams!
Thank you and you're welcome
Do you get paid upfront, or after the job is done? Ever had a customer refuse to pay?
She paid the charity a while back when I did her back yard and demonstrated a new tool.
Ricky32908 was thinking he used that good old tool 🤣
I knew dan the man giving the D
Was this the same surface cleaner you didn't like when you first used it ? if so was it just a case of technique change and getting used to it because it looks fine now !
Yup! Same one and I did a vid a while back demonstrating how to use it. Works good and high quality parts. Here’s the vid: czcams.com/video/Sslh8b2lG1w/video.html
That was fantastic. The before and after...WOW!
Thank you
Ive used it on a few job sites.. it really does wonders
Makes the work easier that’s for sure
That neighborhood has really nice grass 😁
Yeah no kids playin on it or dirtbikes its a high class neighberhood
COLT .38SUPER looks like mine. Which either means one of two things. They get fined if they don’t keep up their lawn. Or everyone likes to keep up their lawn. I’m guessing it’s the first one. We get fined if we don’t keep up our lawns. Nice neighborhoods suck for that reason lol
You really should try out pre soak with an enzyme cleaner. Using the same tool you can easily shave 15 minutes off your time. Works great on siding too. Prevents as high of psi needed on painted surfaces so less chance to strip paint or pulp decking wood.....
I'm not trying to be rude but why would he want to shave time off of how long it took him hes getting paid by the hour
@@eddiedoan1985 So he can do more jobs per day, more money.
@@eddiedoan1985 it's easy. Dont work to get paid for the hour and then cut off your time. There are only a certain number of hours you can work a day and by charging by the hour you'll be limiting the amount of money you can make per day.
I understand what you are saying and it's a good suggestion, but you are missing the point of this video.
Dan is showing what can be achieved with NO CHEMS.
His description states that he did the sidewalk too.
He wanted viewers to see that without chems, (chems not allowed in some areas), that you can still do a great job.
Also, I think the way he worded it, that he means the job he did works out to be about $100 an hour, not that the job took only an hour, (but he showed what he did in real-time) in order to be transparent about.
That was so exciting. 😃
Mind blown.
Great video. Thank you
Sets playback speed to 2x yeet
It sounds like rain from the videos to help u sleep
Great video Dan I personally use a landa surface cleaner a little heavier than that one. About 2500 dollars. Naturally I didnt pay that much😉. And than my pressure washer puts out 4.5 gallons a minute 4200 psi.
Great video Dan, but me personally i always pre-treat, and post-treat when doing flat work, for a few reasons, i feel its easier to clean, it looks better when cleaned, and it stays looking clean longer down the road... But to each their own, keep up the good work.
Ya I get that. Lots of folks pretreat. I smell one guys treatment from down the road. He uses a bit of acid. I don't see a difference in his work or my work. He moves a bit quicker but he has a 24 inch cleaner and a huge pump. If he gets caught letting the rinse/run off with chems go down the drains, he will be out of business. To each his own, for sure. Be careful
Why am I watching this🤔
Be careful about spraying over the hose, it can really damage it. Great video though!
Thank you
No it won’t

Cracking job Dan and you Certainly have a powerful water pressure from the mains when using just the hosepipe. It always makes me chuckle watching your videos from your road as it seems you live in a ghost town as there's very rarely anybody about!
EVERYONE IS AT WORK! We are middle class!! lol I don't mean to mislead anyone. I was definetely using my pressure washer for this video. It is out of sight and out of audio range being next door in my garage. I did mention that in the video at the beginning.
Your never misleading Dan I would say you're the most honest guy I've ever watched and I was beginning to wonder if it was another of your 7:30am Sunday starts which would have explained why it was so quiet.
Looks like a struggle to keep that thing flat! One at home Depot is centered and super easy to keep flat
When I first used this surface cleaner it was a struggle to keep flat and then I figured out how to work with it rather than against it and now it’s super easy you might even be able to see at most times I only have two fingers holding the wand and my other hand squeezing the trigger. As far as the red ones at Home Depot, I tore through three of them in one day with my 4 gallons per minute pressure washer. Purely designed for very low powered units.
@@DansVlog How strong is your washer? Would those red one work for like a 3,000psi ?
About to say the same thing these little ones a trash and the barring burn out after one driveway at 1500 psi
Great work!!#
Do you have to reclaim water? Or is not required?
Super video very interesting 👍👍👍👍
Awesome video so satisfying 😊😊

Great video! Thanks for sharing. Do you ever think about getting a wider surface cleaner?
No cause my pump is 4 gallons per minute. 16 inch is the largest my pump can effectively and efficiently pair with

And the response would be... get off my property... daaaaaang lol
Good video man.
Hey Dan, sorry for all of the questions but I live in a neighborhood north of Austin where most of the houses are either natural stone or stone and siding. Have you ever used your SH and dawn solution on natural stone homes? Is it safe or will it leave marks on the stone?

Hey Dan, nice video, would you stop to rinse on a hot day to get the dirt off before sun bakes it back into the driveway??
The challenge I have with some of the driveways in my neighborhood (including mine) is slightly concave, so it pools water. Have had to spend extra time with broom to sweep away the massive puddle that accumulates. Can you please do a vid discussing this? Greatly appreciate it.
You sir are the champion of pressure washing ☺👍
LOL Thank you
Great job btw!

The 14" disk works, but the rigid disk 4200psi with the wheels 18" i highly recommend, you really exert force to move your disk and you cover less ground with it.
How many gallons per minute is your pressure washer?
@@vincefallon3861 8gpm I think
@@773alonzo But you're not getting 8gpm from house pressure - you'll need a tank to get 8gpm. You're probably getting only 4gpm from house water supplies.
Hey Dan would you recommend a dual turbo nozzle setup up for concrete driveways or stick to the surface cleaner, I have a Simpson alh4240 4.0gpm
I never used a turbo nozzle but I really like the surface cleaner.
Thank you
Hey Dan, great videos. Is your pressure washer on full throttle as you do this, and also would it clean less if you used a 16-18” surface cleaner? I have a belt driven 4K psi with a 16” surface cleaner and for some reason it doesn’t seem to clean as well as yours.
PSI is not what cleans... GPM’s is what cleans. Rule of thumb is for every 4 inch of surface cleaner you need 1 GPM. You need a 4 GPM pump minimum for a 16 inch cleaner. If you are good on that, check the tips, they may be clogged. Yes I am always full throttle
Looks very clean.
Thank you
I got two dewalt surface cleaners for 40 bucks (the ones from home depot) some dude got em in a storage unit sale, I don't need two but that's what I had to buy lol, very handy. I got a water broom as well which is pretty cool
Sound like a good deal!

Home Depot has similar surface cleaner attachment called EZ clean for $70. works great with 1900 psi electric power washer.
Ya I destroyed 2 or 3 of them in one day with my 4gpm pump. The Briggs and Stratton lasted a year. This BE is commercial grade, should last a lifetime
Dan's Vlog is that the same one on amazon? The one in the link had bad reviews

Very good price!
Dan, great Videos! Can you use the soft wash mixture that you max and apply it to the driveway? like to pre-treat?

@@DansVlog I guess i should have asked, "what do you think about applying soft wash mix to driveways?" does it help any?
Is there a product that prevents the Concrete in the Driveway from getting marked up by the Vehicle Tires after the Driveway Concrete has been cleaned?
There are several Pressure washing Videos on CZcams, yours has been my guide, I bought the Whirl away after watching your Videos and a 3800 psi Power Boss Pressure Washer, now I have a Trailer and a 275 Gallon Water Tank.
Okay I loved this video
Thank you
GREAT VID MAN! You inspired me to start my own pressure washing business !!!
Does the WhirlAWay stay on the ground by it's self? I just upgraded to a 4 gpm machine(my CAT pump lost a rod cap), and I can't keep the 14" Briggs & Stratton surface cleaner on the ground at anything above idle, it wants to take flight. At idle the 4 gpm machine runs the B&S better than my 3 gpm machine ran it at 3/4 throttle.
@Dan's Vlog, I know this is an older video, but on the next driveway surface clean you do like this, can you add some dry "before" and dry "after" pictures into the video. I think it would be a nice addition to show what the difference is after it dries.
Tyler G I have a shit ton of videos that show that in my pressure wash business playlist
Hey Dan! I was wondering if the attachment is really more useful than just the gun? It seems to me that you could get it done faster without the attachment since you’re going over the driveway again with the gun.
I am not going over it in a slow cleaning motion, I am quickly just rinsing the driveway. If I did not use the surface cleaner I would be very slowly moving along with the wand alone.
Do you bring your water source? Do you hook up to customers outdoor water source?
Good Video!
Thank you
How much pressure do you use while using that surface cleaner Dan? I have one and I can barely hold mine down to wash when I turn my pressure washer wide open it wants to fly like a helicopter 😂🤣 it definitely works better and alot faster than just using the wand and green/yellow tips.
