      Rinse and spray a light sodium hypochlorite mix afterwards. To kill anything left. And leave evenly clean looking when dried. You can add a lemon surfactant to the mix also. To leave a fresh scent. If you don’t like the bleach smell.

    I found that a 48" wand (vs. the standard 36" wand) is more comfortable and keeps me from having to bend at all and reduces back pain/strain. I am 5'-7" Also, I purchased one of those ball valves and swivel units that eliminates the kinking/twisting hoses and eliminates the need to go back and shut off the PW when I need to change attachments. I know this video is almost 2 years old and you may have already purchased these items, but someone may find it useful.

    • @vincefallon3861
      @vincefallon3861 Před 2 lety

      Vollick that is your privilege coming through in your statement. Try living in the hood. It’s a struggle just paying the property taxes. And then coming up with bus fare to get to work. Don’t guilt your neighbor. They already may feel helpless. The ac went out 3 years ago. We’re still saving for replacement. The tree that the branch fell off of that hit the central air unit, needs to get cut down. I got an estimate on that, and it’s almost $4,000 to have it cut down. I can’t even afford to cut the tree down that causes problems. So instead of guilting your neighbor, maybe meet them, and offer to help when they’re out working. You might just meet a new friend, and you never know when you may need some help. My car was older and only had liability coverage. And the guy that hit it didn’t have a license or insurance. So I’ve been slowly getting that back up and running. That alone will save me 2.5 hours of travel time a day. So I’ll be able to get another second job again. And get some money to fix some things. I’m hoping to start a power wash service then. I’d do this driveway for $50. It’s $50 more than I started. And it’s only $5 in gas. I can’t wait til I can get me $100 for a driveway. I’ll work 18 hour days and be straight in about 5 years. And then finally get me a 2010-2012 Ford F-150 truck i been dreaming about. Guilting a person on the edge of making ends meet, is cruel.

      Dan is showing what can be achieved with NO CHEMS.
      His description states that he did the sidewalk too.
      He wanted viewers to see that without chems, (chems not allowed in some areas), that you can still do a great job.
      Also, I think the way he worded it, that he means the job he did works out to be about $100 an hour, not that the job took only an hour, (but he showed what he did in real-time) in order to be transparent about.

      When I first used this surface cleaner it was a struggle to keep flat and then I figured out how to work with it rather than against it and now it’s super easy you might even be able to see at most times I only have two fingers holding the wand and my other hand squeezing the trigger. As far as the red ones at Home Depot, I tore through three of them in one day with my 4 gallons per minute pressure washer. Purely designed for very low powered units.

    Hey Dan, great videos. Is your pressure washer on full throttle as you do this, and also would it clean less if you used a 16-18” surface cleaner? I have a belt driven 4K psi with a 16” surface cleaner and for some reason it doesn’t seem to clean as well as yours.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  Před 5 lety +2

      PSI is not what cleans... GPM’s is what cleans. Rule of thumb is for every 4 inch of surface cleaner you need 1 GPM. You need a 4 GPM pump minimum for a 16 inch cleaner. If you are good on that, check the tips, they may be clogged. Yes I am always full throttle

I just upgraded to a 4 gpm machine(my CAT pump lost a rod cap), and I can't keep the 14" Briggs & Stratton surface cleaner on the ground at anything above idle, it wants to take flight. At idle the 4 gpm machine runs the B&S better than my 3 gpm machine ran it at 3/4 throttle.
