- This lock should not be taken seriously to secure ANYTHING.
I only picked it up to show you what a dollar padlock looked like.
Please stay safe out there.
Remember, you get what you pay for. (Usually)
Always do your homework before buying a lock. Or anything for that matter.
I can only share my experiences in hopes to educate the general public.
For a $1.25 I think that is an acceptable lock for a very low security application. I hope you and your family have a happy holiday. Take care my friend.
Very nice and I loved the Rock Guitar at the end 👍And on that note may I wish you and your family a Happy and Peaceful Christmas time ;-)
Looks like someone chewed that key bitting! Thanks for the video Big Al! 👍
I just picked up a bunch of these. It is technically a warded locking mechanism. Honestly, for a 30mm padlock it’s not bad for locks you would use in that size range. It’s better than a brinks brass 30mm padlock which I’m able to pick with T pins in 3 seconds
I have a bunch of these. One on the garage, one on the shed and one on the power main.
Power main is a great idea.
@@AlbertLebel Mine sits outside in the yard on a poll its one of those outdoor ones. About a year ago some kids opened it, turned off my power and ran away. Dollar tree lock has been standing guard ever since.
😀👍🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾👏👏👏
These single-sided warded padlocks were once more commonplace. Can't believe how junky your example is but $1.25 ain't gonna get you much these days. In fact I can't see how they could be made and sold at a profit being that cheap. I spent over $1.25 for my last standard-sized candy bar! Good to see any new lock regardless of all that.
Wishing you and yours a most wonderful Christmas!
It's more likely everything else is overpriced. Manufacturing technology is streamlined they can crank out 20 or 30,000 of these a day by putting raw materials in one end and then a bunch of cheap padlocks come out the other end of the conveyor belt
@archprizm6066 yup, seen many assembly and processing lines. Just need to supply something at one end to get another thing at the other end. The faster the better and less employees involved. Most of it is garbage but even that doesn’t matter anymore. If you can market it, it will sell. Remember the pet rock 🪨 ??
I think you misunderstood what you were getting, The $1.25 was for the quality key ring!
Oh my goodness. You are correct 👍
Just uploaded next video. Another comedy show
