[569] Elemake MKDZG1A with an awesome new UPGRADE
I have done several reviews on Elemake locks.
Their mechanical and smart locks are made of decent quality and compare well to others in same price range.
One thing I can share is that they are listening to consumer feedback.
Here's a couple links they provided.
www.bravexlocks.com/
elemakelocks.com/
This mechanical lock with that new feature is a perfect example.
If there's anything you would like to see them change, be sure to mention it in the comment section of this video or feel free to contact them directly at Elemake locks.

[568] TSS Mul T Lock Clone (Pin in pin)

This TSS (Technical Security Series) is a decent clone in my humble opinion. While an authentic Mul T Lock is made of high quality materials and better tolerances, this one at a fraction of the price is not too bad. Stay safe out there, lock it or lose it.

While these are hidden shackle locks, that trick of hiding the ENTIRE shackle from access with bolt cutters works a treat. You can fold back the chain as I shown or get creative and use something similar you may have laying around. Stay safe out there. Don't be the easy target.

This low quality lock should not reflect poorly on all wafer / disc tumbler cylinders as many are very tricky to pick. The issue with this one is that all the wafers are spring loaded the same direction as I mentioned in video. I did not have to work both sides. But still a cool device that could be upgraded with a little work or simply buy a better one. Stay safe out there. Try not to be the e...

I see that "pick resistant" claim far too often but at least they don't claim pick proof. While I do have several locks I consider pick proof, this is not one of them. If there is one thing that stands out from my early days learning to pick locks it would be this. Learn as much as you can about the lock before trying to manipulate it. The more you know about the mechanics of that particular lock, the better chance you will have picking it open. I had to think outside the box for this one but it worked out great. BosnianBill always said, "If what your doing i...

This T handle garage door lock uses a wafer or disc tumbler type cylinder like many other cheap or lower end locks. These are notoriously easy to rake open. I have seen someone use pumpkin carving knives to jiggle open a similar lock. So if you find yourself locked out, don't panic and start breaking things. Look around your junk drawer for anything similar to what I used and give a try. You ca...

So the Master Lock 3SSKAD padlock provides great weather resistance but due to the shackle being stainless steel, I understand it cant be hardened like most of their other locks using a carbon steel even with their usual chrome plating we all know wears off at some point. I hope this video helps you make a good choice before your next purchase of a lock. Stay safe out there. Lock it or lose it.

Show someone how to get into your lockbox, especially when you’re trying to lock things up to keep things safe from others. Will there be children will be people who have a drug addiction . Or a thief Just want to see what you have. .

I have one and forgot the combo lol it's open now haha
How do I stop someone prom picking ever lock I buy, then going in and picking my safe. They picked this lock the first night.
Get a high security lock. Check out Abloy Sentry. Or Bowley locks. Also Mul T Lock. And beware, most dealers online call everything “high security”.
Thanks so much Al! We have one on our house side door that hasn’t been used in over 20 years. Of course we forgot the combo. My husband and I have been fiddling with it for days, then I got the bright idea to Google it and found your instructions. Using a Swiss Army Knife I was able to pick it! I now have bragging rights and my husband thinks I am a genius. 😉
I am so happy for you. This is fantastic. It’s comments like this that keep me going. This is just a hobby to keep my day job from driving me insane. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us. I think your husband owes you a nice dinner. 🤓
I just got notification of a wonderful gift. Thank you so much. 🤓
@@AlbertLebelit’s not much but you’re welcome. 😊
The spring-less core reminds me of the American lock military line, which sometimes specified a direct coupling between the cylinder and the actuator tailpiece. I'm not sure of the details, but from a quick online search it seems that Brinks' parent company, Hampton Products, acquired Commando a few years ago and introduced this 4 pin lookalike version as a low security but physically tough alternative to the main Commando 5-pin lock type.
Thanks for the info. Yes, these laminated steel padlocks are tough in a way but so weak in security.
This video is the one that opened mine, thanks!
Fantastic 👍. Happy to help. It sure beats tossing them or trying to bust them open.
@@AlbertLebel or trying to go thru every single number as I was watching TV. I tried a few other methods and scrolled thru about a thousand numbers. Had it opened in about a minute after this video. You can tell who else watched unsuccessful videos because we all were using a strip from a can. Lol.
How do you open it without the key?
not too shabby. have you found a way to decode the push buttons on this type of lock? Thanks for the video Al!
Thanks Roy. I believe LPL did a vid on that but I have not messed with it yet. But I can pick the lock.
Locks so mid it’s funny
Love mechanical push button locks, no batteries to fail. Is that a 6 pin kik or a 5 pin. Great video Al.
They use a 5 pin cylinder. That’s actually why I was unable to show how to swap them out. I have boxes of cylinders but nothing short enough to fit.
Cool upgrade! I like when lock manufactures think of easy maintenances/diy 👍👍
Looks like a pretty solid lock. Take care my friend.
Nice video. This deadbolt is heavy duty. I liked it too. Price is reasonable. Locksmith wholesale is around $80, retail is $130 (well below codelocks and lockey) . I checked with a handful of my cylinders in different keyways and the key cylinders can be with some minor adjustments interchangeable but it’s not a standard dimension. I wish they had made it more interchangeable or at least offered replacement cylinders in different keyways. Maybe they do? They do have a heavier duty commercial grade one in the works from what I understand.
Great upgrade from elemake! Nicely done Big Al 👍😎
Got a Boom got a bang
Gotta love the removable SC1 core 👍 Easy to add security pins to cure the low pick resistance most of these kinds of locks have out-of-the-box 😎
A keyless lock that still needs a key. The feature is for convenience not security.
I still do not trust not having a keyway as a bypass. I’ve seen several knockoffs fail. The better brands seem to hold up better but most of my customers do prefer a key bypass jic.
Nice that they did that!👏👍🐈⬛🐾😀
Yes and they’re open to feedback. Seriously, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to mention them here or contact them directly.
Found it but i dont want the beautiful fargenice😮❤😅

Awesome !!, happy to help. I appreciate the feedback. I actually been slacking lately on uploading new content due to several life changes but comments like this make me want to keep going. You rock !!!
Very interesting on your work
I bought it and do you know if it work with the Horbill gateway? I saw on Amazon that people also bought that gateway for the elmake door lock.
I can’t get this damn thing to work!
Don’t get frustrated. Trust me. Been there done that. We tend to make it look super simple only because we been doing it for quite some time. Be patient. Play around with it. Try taking off one of the small bands or adding one. They provide tension to the fingers. Go back and forth with the handle as you push it in and soon as it’s in try turning it to rotate the core. If I can do it, you can too. I’m just a knucklehead with an addiction to locks. Just keep practicing. You will be stoked when you get it. Good luck. 🍀
Please seek the LORD JESUS
I’ll pass but thanks for tuning in anyway.
I just purchased a set in 2024 from lockpickworld. it looks identical to the "fake" set, and sadly it looks like i paid $7 more for the fake product from the original maker. the lockpickworld website shows both sets presented here as authentic and fake on their item page. lockpick mall is still showing praxis and serenity sets it makes all of this hard to take seriously. it smacks of back room shenanigan's. I have not been in lock sport long but this looks like pointless finger pointing and posturing. thank you for sharing your insight on this. it just doesn't seem to have stood up to time. and now i just don't want to do business with either of these sources.
Many years ago I had bought a Master Lock 5401D to mount a secure place on the outside of my house for a spare key. Later, I went to mount it and had forgotten the combination. I bought another and mounted it the same day. On the original 5401D, I tried guessing the number a few times, and I thought I had even tried every number once. I was unable to open the original 5401D. I saw your methods and tried the second one using a homemade knife tool and was able to open the original lock. Many Thanks, Scott from Georgia, US
Comments like this are why I love sharing these helpful videos. So thank YOU. I was asked by a landlord that tossing their old ones after they forgot the combos to some of theirs how to do it.
My battery is dead inside the safe, and I can't find my key. Can you help?
If you live nearby I could open it for you. I’m in Shawnee Oklahoma. Otherwise to be honest it’s probably cheaper to bust it open than it would be to buy the tubular pick set needed to pick it open. There’s just no way to get back up power to it. Sorry to say but it may be HAMMER TIME !! 🥹
Open up the key gasket and use that to yank off the covers just the master look number 3
312D or 3 - 12D. Either way it’s pretty sad.
I was able to look at the metal underneath the numbers and you can see the notch that you're scraping
Yes, that’s it. Some will have better tolerances so you will not be able to see them but now you know what you’re feeling for.
I thought it might have put up a small fight with the 11 wafers.. shame about that as yeah can be a good idea. Thanks again Al for all your videos for us Cool People ⭐️
good advice with the shackle, make sense! miss BB but i’ve been rewatching his videos recently. Thanks Al ⭐️
great picking! catching up with my vids, don’t want to be kicked out of the cool gang :-) Thanks Al ⭐️
I don’t really get how you open one of these, I’ve tried countless times, it’s confusing me.
Great video I lost the combination to my lock and I'm going to try to open it tomorrow because I left it at work. I'll let you know if it worked or not.
Ya keep me posted. Take it slow and follow what I do here. Thanks for checking it out.
I have a question… I found two antique Hurd locks from my dad. One of them has the key stuck in it. Do you know how to remove it?
Hopefully someone did not force a wrong type of key in it. If that’s the case you may be in trouble. Use a bit of lube, let it set a few minutes and try pull straight out. DO NOT TWIST IT !! Straight out !!
I got it. It was my mistake. It had to be locked for the key to come out.
@@AlbertLebel I have one more question for you since it’s gonna go up on eBay. It does not have any style number on it and it’s got a little door that slides over the key hole. Do you have any idea of value? You’re the best! Thank you.
@@merrilew sorry but I don’t have a clue. Perhaps just let people bid on it. I don’t think they’re worth much.
@@AlbertLebel thank you so much. I appreciate it… I took a shot and posted it on eBay and I’m selling it today! 78 bucks.🥳🥳🥳. I figured out how to get the key out. I had to lock it. lol 😂
Nice job. I don't pick dimples much so I'm probably wrong about this (and please correct me). I always thought you pick dimple locks opposite to the tension direction (if tensioning clockwise, turn pick counterclockwise)?
Nice addition to the collection. Nice picking my friend. Take care.
Great stuff Al! Wonderful picking and a nice addition to your round bodied collection! Thanks for bringing us along!
Excellent picking! Was hoping you were going to gut it. Always love looking at what's on the inside. Thanks for the video Al!
Nice work Big Al! 👍😎
I think that you and I are on the same wave length, I just bought my very first Mil-T-Lock Friday night. It should be here in a few days. So, I guess if you could get key blanks to the clone you could have a key made for the Mul-T-Lock, ..possibly, … theoretically? Thanks for the video bud. Well done!🤘🏻😎
Ya the key fits so I believe so. I figured it would be the other way around but has me puzzled.

I get stuck on this way too often. But that simple tip BosnianBill use to say all the time is fantastic. He has retired from YT but I still watch his videos. That man has taught me so much. If I can pass any of that on it makes me happy. Thanks for checking out my videos.
@@AlbertLebel yeah, I miss his videos. I've watched all of them at least once.
like all lock they keep honest thefts away, and that all that matter, a real theft will bring heavy duty bolt cutters but might take a few minutes , all in all beside your negative comments im getting one as it will keep the honest theft away from my property , only look ive found that cant be picked is he magnetic locks but im sure there's a way to get past that since these thefts are not having trouble stealing hundred thousand dollar car
