💦 Healthy Water: Which is BEST WATER to Drink 💦

  • What is the healthiest water to drink? An important question. We should probably think back to what our ancestors had to drink. Ideally, they would drink collected rain water, distilled by the sun and devoid of any contaminants. If they couldn't get distilled, they would drink ground water, preferably from moving water. Full of minerals, but potentially containing dangerous bacteria and/or viruses.
Today we don't have to worry very much about parasites, bacteria and/or viruses in our water, but we do have to worry about plastics, chemicals, and other toxins in our water. Municipal water is often over chlorinated or over fluoridated, both of which can lead to long-term health problems. The healthiest drinking water contains none of these things.

Thank You... For taking the time to put this very important information out there.
I have been an Exercise Therapist and Holistic Nutritionist for nearly 30 years, and I still find it quite sad how many people have practically no interest in their true health, and then constantly complain about 'getting old' and having all kinds of pains and ailments.
So many people will join a gym and start doing a little bit of exercise, which is definitely a good start, but they will not get serious about their food and water intake. And even more people have no understanding of the value of quality massage therapy and proper stretching, as well as very simple meditation practices.
I do my best, one client at time, to help educate those who are willing to listen.
And it's very satisfying when I get a client who actually listens and continues to ask questions.
Good luck to all of you looking to improve your health.

I eat whenever I'm hungry which is basically two meals a day between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. I will drink a couple of cups of coffee in the morning with heavy cream. Then I eat my first meal sometime between 10 a.m. and noon. I eat my second meal sometime between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
I primarily eat beef but I eat other animal products such as pork lamb chicken turkey eggs and butter and cheese. I do eat nuts although some carnivores don't. I like almonds cashews walnuts pistachios and peanuts but if they are roasted I make sure that there was no vegetable or seed oil used in that process.
The key is to omit carbohydrates and sugars including fruit. Read the labels on everything that you buy because they put sugar in so many foods including your peanut butter so buy the natural peanut butter.
The meat fully satisfies you for many hours so you don't feel hungry again until your second meal or until your first meal the next day. Eat until you're comfortably full.
After doing this for a few months all excess body fat burned off of my body. Now I can see my abdominal muscles which I haven't seen in decades. I don't understand how this works because it seems that if I'm eating red meat with saturated fats that I would get fatter but the opposite happened to me. I'm not going to argue with it because the results told me that it works on me. I listened to these people on CZcams and then I did the experiment on myself and it worked. I don't have to believe what anybody else says because I just try it and see if it works. I don't believe anybody but myself.

Hello Dr. Berry! I found your video about "The Dangers and Benefits of Alkaline Water" very interesting and educational. One thing I try to do is take care of my health. I have Epilepsy Seizures which was hereditary from my father's side of the family in which I have both petit mal and grand mal seizures. Also, I have stomach ulcer, acid reflux, and high triglycerides. I take prescription medications for all of these specific conditions. I used to work in a warehouse and ended up having a seizure on the job. My previous neurologist/epileptologist mentioned to me that I was drinking the wrong type of water. This is what was offered at my old job at the time in the warehouse. They either would provide the brands of Dasani, Aquafina, and/or Crystal Geyser. I lived in a different state at the time when my seizure occurred. He told me that a person with Epilepsy Seizures is supposed to drink Alkaline Water or PH balanced water. I moved to a different state back in 2022 and currently do a remote job sitting down as an ESL Teacher and Academic Tutor. I do walk everywhere by exercising just to let you know. I was informed by a medical professional the following things: "Alkaline Water can raise your blood pressure due to it having sodium in it." Some questions I have for you are as follows: Is it true that Alkaline Water has sodium in it? Is it true that Alkaline Water can raise your blood pressure? What do you think is the best type of water for me to drink due to my health condition? The only reason I switched to drinking alkaline water was so that way my seizures would stay under control, have enough electrolytes in my body, and I would stay hydrated. Many times when I have drunk Drinking Water, Purified Drinking Water, or Mountain Spring Water this hasn't kept me hydrated enough. All the seizures I have had previously were mostly because of either me already being dehydrated, having dehydration beforehand, or due to stress. What are your suggestions and recommendations?

the whole stomach ph argument is just not accurate. Yes your stomach acids are extremely low in ph, but that does not mean that it doesn't matter what ph you keep putting into your body. See, your stomach has to create that very low ph in your stomach, and to create that very low ph, it changes your overall body ph. There have been plenty of tests showing that an over consumption of acidic (low ph) foods have negative impacts on the body. High ph water requires your body to produce more acid to neutralize the high ph, and so that in turn decreases your overall body acidity.
Yes the water and food ph is neutralized, but because they are neutralized, your body had to reduce its overall acidity to do so. This is something that most people and by most I mean 99.9% get wrong. PH absolutely does matter. Just because your stomach acids neutralize it, does not mean it has no effect on your overall body ph.
Hope someone found this info useful.
I personally drink filtered ionized water with a ph of 9.0, to counter all the acidic food I consume. (most food is overly acidic).

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! You're the first doctor that has said this.
You just confirmed something that I've been saying for years - chlorine and fluoride in tap water can block absorption of iodine; also bromine (preservative in grain products). Just look at a periodic table.
We couldn't put an reverse osmosis system in our house - cost and family trust stuff.
So, what I do is to put tap water into my 1 gallon glass jars, add cilantro, basil or parsley, cover with a cloth, and let sit overnight. When I get up in the morning, I remove the plant matter and put it into compost can (it absorbed the fluoride) and stir to break up any bubbles on the side of the jars (chlorine gas is unstable and will evaporate out of water after a few hours, some may form bubbles on the side of glass or jar). Put the lids on and use them for cooking and drinking (1 goes into the fridge).
    Easy peasy.
Thanks for all of your hard work researching and making the videos that share this much needed info.

Distilled Pure Water will not conduct electricity when only 2 parts inorganic minerals or less are present. Water with 5 parts inorganic content per million parts water (or more) will conduct electricity, completing a simple circuit and lighting a tester bulb! The higher the inorganic content is in a per million count, the less effectively water transmits organic minerals to tissue sites. Bottled water, tapwater, reverse-osmosis filtered water, and carbon-block filtered water (when tested) will conduct electricity, substantiating that each one is not the best carrier for the mineral-transport and mineral-absorption (Muehling 1994). Our tapwater in the USA has been shown to contain 19 "inorganic metals of concern"(1994 Safe Water Drinking Act), for which maximum contaminant levels have been set. (Tone 1994) Most American tapwater tested falls between the ranges of 350 parts per million to over 1000 parts per million total contaminants! (Colgan 1993)

It took me TEN miserable years and much of my own research, to find out I am gluten sensitive! Gluten free diet was considered a fad back in the early 2000s! My symptoms were treated but never the cause! Not one Dr. I went to ever asked me about what I was eating. But in all fairness I didnt make the connection either until I had to go to ER the symptoms got so severe. Three bites of high gluten pizza crust put me in the hospital! The gut wrenching pain is indescribable, the n/v is incapicating, the headaches excruciating, etc, etc. The effects of gluten sensitivity are so numerous I won't even list them all here. The culprit is inflammation throughout the body caused by gluten ingestion. When an opthamologist diagnosed Tallosa Hunt Syndrome ( inflammation of cranial nerve 6 and 4, eye movement control nerves ) It started me on the research road to wellness and a gluten free diet, and now keto diet for weight control. I proved to myself gluten is the culprit by elimination and reintroduction diet control. A gluten free diet can be very carb dense and one tends to gain weight! I'm 81 years and most days I feel better than I did when I was 61 years! Told my Dr. I need a health advocate not a " boss" and he respects my health efforts and also believes me when I tell him what gluten does to my body! And I'm down to just one med for my persistent high blood pressure. Sorry about length of this post. Gluten sensitivity is NOT a myth or a fad, it is very real.

Since you’d likely be sweating out a significant amount of your electrolytes while working in the sun, your body will require a higher concentration of minerals/same electrolytes lost while sweating to rehydrate. It’s likely that distilled water does not contain enough minerals/electrolytes to hydrate you properly when compared to “normal water” such as municipal water. There is even more of a difference when comparing tap/municipal water to mineral water which contains increased amounts of the same electrolytes lost during sweating. As a result, consuming distilled water following sweating leaves you fatigued and nauseous because you are still dehydrated. Mineral water cures this feeling due to its proper offering of electrolytes. Hope this helps!

@@Jennifurdawn You might not be getting enough water soluble minerals in your diet. Doctors can do blood tests to determine that. Most get enough from their diet but it can also indicate other health problems do please see a doctor and have him test you. Low sodium or low potassium in your blood serum can be a serious issue. Also other ones as well. As a group we have been so sodium conscious for the last few decades that low levels of these minerals can be as bad as high levels anymore.

      @markpashia7067 Před 2 lety +8

@@katrinalinder978 exactly. It is not the water that is the issue, but that you also need to replace the electrolytes as well. Back in they day we had "salt tablets" next to the water jug for that reason. They were really mineral tablets with sodium, magnesium and others. They stopped that due to most folks having too high a level of those minerals in their diet, but if you eat "heathy" today you have the right amount instead of the excess we had back then. Remember the folks who put half a salt shaker on one order of french fries??? We do not do that anymore so in high sweat situations you must supplement the water soluble minerals as well. Mineral water likely helps but might still be insufficient. Consult a doctor or pharmacist. Gatorade will also help but has other issues so I do not do that.

Hi Dr. Berry, this video is 4 yrs old , so I was wondering if you still have the same filtration system now in 2023 or if others have come out that you like better since then. Also, what do you think of pitcher filters? Thank you!

I've seen a recent video of his where he recommends this same filter. I want to get it but I am a renter, so I have to make a hole in my countertop😢

I currently buy still mineral water, bottled at source from a natural spring. Our tap water is clean, but it has been processed with chlorine which I can sometimes taste and smell and it also has flouride added. I prefer the water that comes direct from the mountain spring. I am also having a chlorine filter installed in the shower, where the smell of chlorine can sometimes be overpowering, to avoid absorbing the water treatment chemical "leftovers" through my skin.

The company I work from makes millions of gallons of water a day. We filter and treat water for steam, cooling and process water. Proper treated, DI, distilled and RO water is critical to a health system for equipment and people. Very good video.

A side note about fluoride - I was diagnosed with perioral dermatitis. The only helpful advice I got from the dermatologist was use fluoride-free toothpaste. That was about 7/8 yrs ago. I don’t think it was fluoride alone causing it. I think the fluoride aggravated it. My whole immune system must’ve been overloaded, due to many issues while consuming the SAD. I still do not use flourish toothpaste on a daily basis. Over these last 7 yrs, every once in a while I would use regular toothpaste and the dermatitis would come back. Interestingly enough, in the last 6 months, I’ve gone low carb, very low grains (I’m working on eliminating) and even after a few days of fluoride toothpaste the dermatitis hasn’t come back!

I love my well water. Our well is 360 feet deep in the foothills of the Montana mountains. It's sand filtered, clear & tasty. I know that it has a good assortment of minerals since it comes from a sand layer, though we've never had it tested. And it comes out COLD

As far as only buying bottled water in glass bottles goes. I Haven't ever seen glass bottled water that didn't have a plastic lid unless it was mineral water. Which had a presumably aluminum twist cap.
