    My “go to” Subaru CZcamsr! I do like the new Outback Wilderness! I’m not crazy about the touch screen system Subaru uses however! The vehicle is nearly flawless in my opinion! That’s coming from a 5-time Camry owner and now a 2 time Nissan Altima AWD owner! I wish you and your Family a wonderful Independence Day when it gets here! With all my personal respect! Mark in Iowa.

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Not sure if you can go wrong with it at all. My brother owns a restaurant here in New England and 2 of his employees both have outbacks along with my nephew as I had mentioned earlier. One things for sure even in the inclement weather they can't use vehicle as an excuse for running late to work!

      My 2024 is laggy too quite annoying. Every review says it’s laggy since Subaru came out with the giant screen don’t know why it’s still not addressed 😒

    It is good that they put a front facing camera on the Outback and Forester Wilderness. It does remain one of the great mysteries of life as to why Subaru did not put a front facing camera on the Crosstrek Wilderness.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Před měsícem +1

      Absolutely! Yeah, between the no front camera and temporary spare tire I don’t know what Subaru was thinking lol. 😂

    • @HardBoiledGregADV
      @HardBoiledGregADV Před měsícem +1

      I test drove an Outback Wilderness 2025 model the other day and was utterly baffled as to why they put such a low grade camera for both the front an rear. It seriously looked like a 240P camera (watch this video in 240P to see what it's like). I then test drove a 2025 Mazda CX-50 which seemed like a lot better quality all around. I'm still considering the Subarau, but it's things like that which make me question the overall quality.

    • @KastkingAngler
      @KastkingAngler Před měsícem

      @@HardBoiledGregADV i totally agree. Subaru should be ashamed of the quality of the cameras. I just bought a 2025 Touring XT. The camera on my 2017 Ford Fusion is 10 times better.

  • @RareGenXer
    @RareGenXer Před 9 dny

    Love all the technical information that so many reviewers don't do; and showing valuable details like the spare tire wheel-well and under the hood. Plus conducting an "everyman's" 0-60 performance test.

      I’m so glad you appreciate that stuff! I basically try to make the videos I would want to watch, but keeping in mind my limitations to doing this only part-time, mediocre editing skills, and access to lifts and other helpful items big channels might have access to. 🤪

    I just got the same one as it was coming off the truck. I had a 2019 premium, but this one was a giant upgrade for me. I promise my daughter I wouldn’t get it muddy for a month. I had them put a trailer hitch and the cross bars with cargo carrier on it. Can’t wait for my trip in October.

    Nice review! I chose a 2024 Outback Limited. I don’t need the higher ground clearance, off-road tires and reduction in fuel economy. Smoother ride and quieter. I’ve owned four Subaru’s, two Outback’s, including the six cylinder and two Foresters . Subaru has greatly improved interior finishes! Infotainment and acceleration noice on passing still need work!

    Good review. My nephew has the 2019 non Turbo outback. I became very interested in the Subaru line when I went for a ride with him. Very comfortable interior and spacious. I ultimately went for the 2024 Forester Touring as it was easier for me to get in and out without bumping my head. Overall, very impressed with both the Outback and Forester. I must be a good salesperson because both my niece and Goddaughters son purchased Foresters in the last few months. As to the microphone quality overall it was very good. The only change that I noticed was when you did the 0-60 run. It was a bit tinny.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Před měsícem

      Thank you! And the Forester Touring trims are such a treat to drive! Yeah, Subaru is one of those brands that people shouldn’t knock until they’ve driven one, especially in winter haha. And thank you for commenting on the microphone. The 0-60 is always filmed with a different camera that I don’t attach this mic to, so good catch on noticing the distinction and again I appreciate you mentioning it!

    Earlier this year I bought a 2024 4Runner. Hated it. This week I traded it in for a 2025 OBW. Believe me when I say this is one of the best vehicles you can buy. You get the on road comfort with the exceptional off road capability. It’s the perfect in between. Not overpriced and the buying experience with Subaru was the best I’ve ever had. If you’re on the fence… go try one!!! You won’t be disappointed.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208

      I’m sorry to hear that you felt the need to get out of the 4R so soon. I’ve also considered one of those, but I think if I did I would feel the same way in that to much was sacrificed especially regarding on road driving and comfort. I’m glad you’re happy with the OBW, and I appreciate you sharing your experience! 🙂

      I test drove a 4Runner TRD Pro before I bought my '22 OBW. Happy I went with a Subaru. The Toyota was worse on gas and it was a climb up n down which wouldn't work well with a car seat for the years to come.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c Před měsícem +1

      I wasn't impressed with the 4Runner. I bought a 94 several years ago that had the 3L V6, gutless piece of crap that thing was, the only saving grace for it was it had the manual transmission so you could somewhat force it to get out of its own way. When my truck was in the shop for a week I got stuck with a 4Runner....even the 4L V6 is gutless, terrible fuel economy (worse than my 08 Tundra's 5.7L V8), ride quality was terrible, not sure why people think those things are so great, there's a lot of people that mistakenly fell for that Toyota hype and regretted it instantly.

      @johnkkkj Před měsícem +1

      Welcome to the Subaru side. I just got a 24 OBW a few weeks ago, coming from owning Subies for over 20 years. This is the best Subaru ever, and I would dare say this is the best car period! This is what I always wanted from Subaru. I have modified every Subaru that I have ever had, to make it do what I wanted. This is the first one that I am amazed, I just sit in it and it does what I wanted it to do from the get go. No more going off to some chops shop for a lift, no swapping tires the minute I get it for AT tires. I am blown away by the ride comfort, considering 0-60 in 5.8 seconds with AT tires and 9.5 inches of lift with a smooth ride my jaw is still on the floor.

      Interesting. My wife and I have matching 2018 4Runner Limiteds and a 2003 S2000 (since new). We bought a 2017 3.6R Touring for our 16-year old son’s first car. Now, we are thinking of a new outback (probably a Touring XT, though maybe wilderness) now that our younger son will also need a vehicle (giving him a 4Runner, and we’ll drive the new Outback). I also bought a 2014 3.6R Limited for my in-laws. Love that flat six! Long story short, I find it interesting how many people cross-shop Outback’s and 4Runners, or own both.

    The only downfall of the OBW is the lack of a 6-speed manual. I’m debating between this and the Wrangler, which offers a MT, and I’m stuck. I hate ATs, but you can’t beat Subaru reliability.

    I got the same car but 2024- extremely worth every penny. Had all windows tinted here in South Carolina… went with Xpel Plus ceramic nano tint.. which blocks 99% UVs. I went with 70% windshield, 20% front sides, 45% back sides and 35% hatch…. Which gives a even flow of tint with exception to windshield. Do you know if there is button to have side mirrors fold in rather than manually push them in when parked in tight spaces? Thanks and nice video
