I do not understand either. But i think it's not for the music. It's for a country. They do not like portugal!
I disagree, it's not because people don't like Portugal, it's because eurovision fans tend mostly to like more pop and danceable songs, futhermore in the semi-finals only counts the televote, and so people might feel more hype to vote for songs who are more upbeat, they can easily understand. Even so, Iolanda is a very good singer, and like Mimicat and Maro, she already won, and at least for this year (and maybe the next) she can focus 100% on singing.

Portugal's song is one of the most beautiful in the Eurovision Song Contest, quality music with perfect lyrics and choruses and Iolanda's voice is magnificent, the problem is that a lot of people don't know what music is and what circus is, but that's a matter of musical culture and I'm glad we're all different🇵🇹

Portugal's song was probably one of, if not my favourite song this year. I am so happy that iolanda managed to prove the predicted odds wrong. The odds predicted her landing below 20th place, and here she is having ended up 10th. Absolutely one to remember

Embora nos quisessem calar no CZcams, por a Iolanda ter as unhas pintadas com as cores que eram parecidas com a bandeira palestiniana, ainda assim O Grito, que ela deu foi maior, foi maior pois muita gente adorou a performance de Portugal. Só me pergunto se não se podia fazer alusão a palestina, porquê Israel estava lá. Infelizmente para haver uma guerra é preciso 2 e deviam os 2 países ser sancionados.
