@@exquisite4164 how?? it's true tho, regardless of how his nba career turned up, he's still the best offensive bigman in college, dude is just so polished
GamingEXpert21 Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't the Lakers also have a bad year? He's a Sixer now move the fuck on and enjoy Russell! "Wow"! Stupidity is contagious!
+SLIP NORRIS okafor still kicking in sixers, Lakers fucked up. Okafor is just made for the Lakers, dont know what they are thinking lol...now Okafor gonna stuck at that crappy team and Lakers gonna stay crappy
I wonder how Okafor's hands measure in comparison to current NBA centers like Duncan. It's definitely an advantage to be able to wrap your hand around a basketball like it's nerf ball.
so ummm, why is this guy constantly blasted for his defense? i understand this is a highlight compilation, but there isn't anyone on earth who will play perfect defense with maximum effort all the time either. what this video shows me is he has good defensive principles and good lateral movement when he is engaged. he keeps his arms straight up and contests shots without getting in trouble. not every center will fly in the air and block 4 shots a game. in fact, a lot of the shot blockers also have poor discipline on defense. okafor will be just fine. he has lost weight already too, so he should be even lighter on his feet.
Mark De Pedro ndeed. People act like when his team misses a shot and the other team grabs the board, he just stands under the other teams basket while his team runs back on defense. He's going to be okay.
any improvements jahlil makes on defense will just be the icing on the cake anyway. this guy already has otherworldly post moves, footwork, and touch on his hook shots, layups, and short-range jumpers. i mean, people are nitpicking him for little things like effort on defense and not having an 18 foot jumper. if those are his biggest problems, sign me up for jahlil okafor! how many centers come in and they have NO post moves, AWFUL footwork... we're talking zero skill? lol... and people just wanna bag on okafor because he is a top dog. come on mayn!
They were picked earlier cause they have immense potential. Okafor has the best post play we've seen in YEARS, but that's the only thing he has to his game other than size and big hands. Karl-Anthony Towns may have 0 post play, but he can shoot and defend while also being more athletic. These things are hard to teach compared to post-play. I know some top picks have failed and flopped cause they can't develop their early immense potential into fruition, but don't put Okafor above these guys just cause he has advanced post-play.
hamhockbeans hes been 6 11 for a while i think hes stopped growing , but in saying that you stop growing around 21 so maybe he has a lil bit more growing to go , Giannis from the bucks was 6 9 when he debuted in the nba and came back 6 11 last season , now thats a growth spurt
Minnesota had an AL Davis moment. They went with athletic ability over skill. Okafor should have been the number one pick. This guy already has the Dream shake wow. He will get better on the defensive end with better conditioning.
that depends on how bad philly wants him out , it would have to be a future pick unfortunatly as their main assests are what they need , Bosotn will make a run as pick 3 is unless they want Bender is useless to them .
+Patrick Charles They have Roy Hibbert and Julius Randle. As much as I like Okafor, he's not gonna fit into the Starting 5. They needed a PG and they drafted D'Angelo Russell. You would say they would have drafted Jahlil and not trade for Roy Hibbert, but they needed a real experienced big-men cause they're trying to contend once again for Kobe. An Okafor-Randle combo has 0 NBA experience, much say playoffs.
KayJayA7X Look at what d anglo is doing right now, did you even see his tourney highlighs? the dude sucked, please. I'd take kamisky, Okafor or johnson over Him, and I grantee the lakers would be much better.
Jesus-is LORD All I'm saying was, on paper, the Lakers needed a PG and that's why they took D'Angelo. You must be a newbie if you don't know that there's 2 ways a team go about a draft - 1) By talent 2) By needs. Clearly, the Lakers go for what they need and that's D'Angelo. I too, think that he's a flop ever since I saw him during Summer League. He doesn't seem to have the NBA physicality and is slow, so slow, I doubted if he could even run a fast break. BUT, all I'm saying is the Lakers went by their needs and that's what it is. It annoys me seeing people so bad at comprehending, they spell stupidity.
Best College Offensive Big Man I've seen. Great size, tremendous footwork, touch, scoring ability, post moves and length. Great potential.
NVTE_shrvd this didn’t age well

who else is here because he started popping off on the pelicans?
I loved him at Duke man, so fun to watch a throwback style player cook up like this
I dont understand why they say that Towns has more potential... Jahlil is a freshmen with this offensive skill is tremendous...
Lol
Awkward...
Ron-Ron Worldpeace hmmm how is he doing right now? Lmao
I think if he went LA with Lonzo Ball via trade he would dominant. Lonzo Ball, Ingram, and Okafor? Dominant!
Ron-Ron Worldpeace looking back this comment is funny
What a marvelous hands this kid have!
great highlights. just putting in my 2 cents, i think jahlil okafor could learn sky hook. he can palm the ball and has a great reach.
That Lob Pass Though.
He is going to lead the Lakers back on top
***** STFU hater!
+Bashir Shirk he's telling the truth tho

can't wait until summer league.
nitotech thats if they don't trade the 2nd pick for boogie
Bryan Soe yeah true that ^^
Welcome to Philly Big Fella!!! Thank you LA for passing on the next Tim Duncan.
Adam Y Dammit we in Philly past on talent back in the 90s and got Shane Bradly thank God we have a GM not that stupid again.
Adam Y almost lost hope when embiid went down again THANKS PHIL JACKSON.
***** he's 19 years old..? are you saying his shot and defense won't improve?
Adam Y lol yall have 3 centers
and we're trading one of them what's your point..?
I wonder how Okafor's hands measure in comparison to current NBA centers like Duncan. It's definitely an advantage to be able to wrap your hand around a basketball like it's nerf ball.
+Christopher F duncan also has massive hands

Mark De Pedro I feel he can be as good as Marc Gasol defensively. People cant limit his potential on D. He has a great work ethic.
Mark De Pedro I think it was just because coach K pulled him for his lackluster D? I think he will be fine.

Take down the really good defensive highlights (1 v 1 on Mudiay) just in case Flip Saunders sees this.. anyway good shit subbed
Why did you stop making videos?
8:04
Him and Julius randle are gonna be zeebo and marc gasol 2.0
they gonna be better though
justin wilson its gonna be like shaq and kobe
justin wilson lol
***** why the fuck do you keep saying the exact same shit on every comment?? Wtf is an unfort
***** oh well in that case I agree but just saying not everyone knows what an unfort is :/
Just got the wrong coaches in the nba...his coach in phil destroyed his confidence
chito glen Deslate a coach can’t destroy a players confidence
Wait this kid is only nineteen? Has he stop growing or will he get bigger?
hamhockbeans hes been 6 11 for a while i think hes stopped growing , but in saying that you stop growing around 21 so maybe he has a lil bit more growing to go , Giannis from the bucks was 6 9 when he debuted in the nba and came back 6 11 last season , now thats a growth spurt
Looks like the second coming of Tim Duncan.
Mario Nartey Scary thing is he actually looks like Tim's twin younger brother.
This did not age well
How u feel about this now?
@Trey Vert yes I will
lol that first game was just like wilt chamberlains career, duke should have done that all year long, just wilt chamberlain basketball
Minnesota had an AL Davis moment. They went with athletic ability over skill. Okafor should have been the number one pick. This guy already has the Dream shake wow. He will get better on the defensive end with better conditioning.
Athleticism, defense and shooting are harder to teach than strength and post-play.
Well atleast now you'll understand why taking KAT over Okafor was a smart choice considering how Towns is already playing like a veteran.
KAT dropped 60 and is an all star and Jahlil is in China, wow.
I wanna see him match up with Anthony Davis
But he's a center and Anthony Davis is a power forward...
So they probably wouldn't get matched up often
@@gamingexpert2191 you're completely correct but it's because Okafor is sitting at the bench whole time while Ad is dominating 😅😅
Lakers draft Ingram trade for Jahlil become the new Thunder a good young talented core

No, Jahlil doesn't play defense.
Lakers missed out big time...

BUM
Yeah, he should've been a laker.
you guys remember the guy who caused Jordan the championship at age 40?
NUMBER 1 DRAFT PICK!!
Kwame Brown LOL!!!!
Kramer had small hands and feet, he wasn't built to be an NBA center
Nahh he is good but wont make it to the nba
