The deep sea is rife with competition and conflict. Deep sea biodiversity relies on the scattered organisms interacting in order to survive, whether they’re working together in symbiosis, scavenging, being predated, or parasitising a host animal. But there is one ecological interaction that does more than any other to influence organisms to change and diversify, and thus plays an important role in the success of deep sea communities. The limited resources mean only a small number of niches can exist. Thus, there is greater competition between different species trying to fill the same niches. This explains why the deep sea has so much competition, for animals must share the ecosystem with other competing species all trying to consume the same limited resources.

If he doesn't get offered a voice over for Nova, Nat Geo, PBS or something of the like, I would be surprised. But I don't know if that is what he wants to do, but he surly has the talent and voice. @bunnyviperaquatics2108 Pƙed 2 lety +19

The more you study English and root words, prefixes and suffixes, the more you’ll be able to solve the meaning of words on your own. For example, the medical suffix ‘itis’ means “inflammation of “- Appendicitis means ‘inflammation of the appendix”; Bursitis means ‘inflammation of the Bursa’. The word root ‘ology’ means “a science or branch of knowledge”, which translates to ‘the study of ‘ (a particular subject.) Psychology, the study of the psyche, or mind; Geology, the study of the Earth; Biology, the study of life and living organisms. The more knowledge you acquire, the easier it becomes to decipher the meaning of a word, even if you have never heard it before. The English language is fascinating! Now if I could only remember not to use so many commas! đŸ€Ł

I love all the deep sea vocabulary, but I do think if they were used more in the videos it’d be easier for us to remember the words and how to use them. Such as Chapter 2’s title could’ve been “Interspecific Competition”
Thanks for all the great videos you upload!! 💗

Not only is the info in your videos great but you always have great footage even with places like the deepest parts of the sea. That's how wildlife documentaries hit best, with great shots of the subject not just an infographic or expert trying to explain things. Keep up the good work
