- March 10, 1982, KTHI-TV, Fargo, ND - Long before the 2012 end of the world, there was the 1982 end of the world, caused by The Jupiter Effect. All the planets in the solar system would be roughly aligned on one side of the Sun on March 10th, supposedly triggering the end of life on Earth. Books were written, interviews were coducted and some people worried. On the day the world was supposed to end, I went out and talked to people in the Fargo area to see if they noticed anything different or unusual. I remember The End of The World in 1982 ! its called Bad Science ! But I found the movie in 1986 ! never got release in the movies, went to VHS .
3/10/82…a couple 9th graders on our school bus snuck some of dad’s beers on the way to school and downed them before we arrived…they figured if we’re going out, might as well be buzzed when we do 😂
