Buvey saying that is mental, I’m a City fan and I absolutely can’t stand him/his content or his opinions of football. He’s one of the worst creators in that space and he’s only known because of The Kick Off
100% he was the only one who needed The Kick Off. The rest had other things, look at Wizzy leaving to do his own thing.

Something utterly detestable about Rory Jennings. He’s so delusional; but whereas Mark Goldbridge is delusional too- I actually find him funny and knowledgeable. Jennings spends more time chatting rubbish about Tottenham than he actually does about Chelsea. Utter melt.

That’s because mark is talking about united most of the time and doesn’t see him self as this Football genius. Also marks just got the dad charm like how he can just go on segments on how a polar bear would beat a grizzly in a fight. Also mark is generally interesting and Rory isn’t really

Mark is delusional at times but you can tell hes a solid dude and he does have ball knowledge and gives good viewpoints when he wants. Rory just likes the sound of his voice.
The downfall began when Hugh Wizzy left, and then Buvey started full time on it. He's the embodiment of ragebait football content that has completely ruined the space online.
He must spend a small fortune on personal security. If he doesn't, then it's about time he was put in a position where he has no other options but to live in fear.....
Tbh, the best kick off format was at the very beginning, when it was Geordie, Laurence, Statman Dave, and a rotating guest for every episode, that were normally really good (Spencer, The lad from Game of Thrones, Calfreezy, Willne, Stephen, Behzinga, etc). It was hilarious, and actually had good football knowledge, particularly from Dave. And they didn’t have that short clip/clickbaity mentality, so it was pretty down to earth

I blocked "the club" the first time I saw the channel and have always refused to watch any content with any of the little rats in.

People go way too deep into this. You could tell The Club was something they had planned for a long time.
They had good reasons to leave because it's not like Brian fucked up once, he has said and been caught up in shit multiple times. It was time for them to leave, and to me The Club was a good move for them.
I personally find it very enjoyable, and so does a lot of other people clearly. Almost 200k subs is very solid for a football channel considering it's quite new.
Brian made my channel, and without him pushing me, I wouldn't have 150k subs. I will never forget what he did for me and even now still thank him.
The problem is that when you rely on brands for your income, you have to be squeaky clean. You can't be yourself, and that's a fact.
As for the lads, the question has to be without Brian and the Kick Off, would they have been as well known? Would The Club even be a channel?

The way the club spoke about The Kickoff was so strange to me, not even because they said it was bad, I'm actually fine with them doing that to an extent. But the way they spoke about it, if you'd never watched The Kick-off before, you'd genuinely think they'd only been guests on the show a couple of times, so when they're saying "It's not as good as it used to be" trying to come across as objective, but then not saying that THEY were the hosts, so the basic implication being that they made the show better, which again, fine, if they want to hold that opinion, got ahead, but actually say that. Adam seemed the most reasonable there, and seemed to actually acknowledge that he was a big part of it

It's not what got him cancelled. Even at the time when he said it, nobody really cared too much. The problems started when he "apologized' with the lamest shit possible and then ended iot with "like and subscribe". Instead of coming across as genuine, it came across that he doubled down on it all.

I know nothing about any of this, including Football in general. But basically they took the opportunity presented with Geordie’s cancellation to make more money. To hell with whether or not it was the right thing to do and to hell with their friend. Maybe it was necessary to move on but it seems like it was handled extremely poorly. They obviously didn’t really care about Geordie as a true friend just what he could do for their pocket book and careers. Obviously, we have no idea what happened behind the scenes but what we were shown in public is not a good look for any of them.
To be fair I don’t think they claimed to be true friends, we all assumed they were because they were great on camera but really they were just coworkers clearly.
@@maxderdax6117If you watch the Christmas podcast where all the kick off lads featured, Rory was talking about that when he was at a really low point in his life, Brian actually was the one that saved him from that situation. So I’d say they were definitely good friends.

Brian needs Loz to help smooth out his rough edges and temper his apparent fixations on certain topics which made them an incredible team but I distinctly remember Loz having several moments where he comes across as a petulant child when things aren’t going his way. They were perfect counterbalances for each other and made great content because of it. I am rooting for each of them individually but the Club boys have left a sour taste in my mouth with how they have also handled the situation despite all the mitigating factors.
I actually prefer the kick off now. They don’t shout over eachother and you can actually listen to full debates and hear viewpoints from both sides.

The Club is a slap in the face to the football content community. Not only is their branding almost 1 for 1 plagiarising The Kick Off but the unnecessary shots they take at The Kick Off are childish. The Club was something that clearly was in the works behind True Geordie's back for a while before they got canceled again before the 2022 World Cup and I knew as soon as Buvey came into the fold more and more that he would be the snake that would drive it all forward. Mckola handled the situation with some class, but Rory "the salesman" Jennings and Buvey "the narcissistic snake" are pathetic and even Rory admitted that he wouldn't have as great of a life or career if it wasn't for what True Geordie and Lawrence did for him.

Difference in my opinion is the persona put across and how accountable they are, for example everyone knows with Stephen tries 99% of what he says is a joke that has no real meaning and with jimmy carr he’s purely telling jokes and pushing the boundaries. Brian multiple times went on record calling people out for being wrong (which was part of his charm initially) with the likes of Logan Paul etc. if he’s going to have this power to call people out when it comes to social media it also comes with the responsibility of being perfect from a pr side yourself, so yeah he can say Logan Paul you are awful for filming that Forrest, but he can’t then make a racially motivated joke and have that be looked at as a joke and overlooked. Furthermore the kick was the best football show on YT, better than the club and better than this new iteration of the kick off.

I don’t even really care about the kick off but Brian and Laurence were there for my formative years through bad and good. those two splitting up is the definitely the saddest part
It's really sad that lawrence and TG potentially aren't going to work together anymore- whether it was fake or not they had great chemistry. I think they were genuinely friends. I think TG had the problem of being an older lad on the scene. If one of the sidemen say that everyone just says "Oh they're just kids..."

Andrew Tate and True Geordie got into an online beef and because Tate had just turned Muslim he said he should do everyone a favour and blow himself up then or words to that effect.

The fact that those like Buvey & Rory look at the kick off and say 'there aren't good football opinions on there anymore' is so arrogant. Like theirs ever were. Buvey & Rory, if you're watching, anyone that knows anything about football doesn't value your godawful takes. The point of The kick off was it was entertaining and had good chemistry. That's why i watched it anyway. The Club guys would be nobodys without the kick off.

Adam seems ok, I think he was genuinely upset by what Brian had done and you could sort of see he didn't want to talk about the kick off. The other two have the entertainment factor of a doormat and there opinions were shocking.

I think it shows people have a point about how you can't criticize Islam. It was a half assed remark. I'm Irish and lived in the UK for years and I got bomb comments a lot worse. The fall out was so overblown its mental.
