  • If you are installing a new transmission, flexplate, and torque converter it is a good idea to make sure you have the right parts before trying to bolt it together. In this video I show what to check for and how to do it to ensure a smooth installation without any problems.

This is starting to get exciting Dick. Really great approach to the details of doing things as correct as possible for a premium outcome. 👍🏻

Thanks so much, I am in the middle of body work and hope to get some paint on it in a few weeks. I'll have the latest videos out soon.

Thank you for making videos like this. I’m very green and this helps with general knowledge of putting the components together. I’ve watched the Ridetech videos a lot while I’m putting mine together.

I have a 01 corvette LS1 going into 89 Camaro. Is it a 300mm shaft and will a regular flex plate and torque conv work? I've read I'd have to use a domed flex plate, crank extender, etc. Seeing yours, I'm not sure any of that's true. Thank you for any help!

Are you using the 89 transmission?
