I heard he doesn't want to be full-time host. (Maybe he's holding out for another run at politics. He didn't want to run against Kirsten Gillibrand but he could enter some other way; it would be nice!)

I just realized that if Jon Stewart and David Letterman had a baby, it would be Al Franken! I don't know about you but I'm so torn between my favorite guest hosts so far; Al Franken, Roy Wood Jr, and Marlon Wayans. Looking forward to Jordan Klepper, Desi Lydic, Michael Kosta, Ronny Chieng, and Lewis Black. The bar has been set pretty high.

If we're voting on it, Al could become the permanent host. If he doesn't want to work full-time, he can do three or four days a week, and another of the brilliant guest hosts can come in for the rest of the week.

There was no reason for AL to be booted out of the Senate. It was only because Kirsten Gillibrand thought making AL a sacrificial lamb would raise her visibility and political success. It didn't; deservedly so.
He wasn't booted out. He let a gang of gormless jerks railroad him instead of going through due process. That was unfortunate, and I reckon he knows that now. I wish he'd give it another go.

Yes there are men who serious commit SA amd those are who #metoo was originally designed to try and prosecute. Actual criminals who use their power and influence to avoid being prosecuted for actual crimes .

Recall that the Stormy Daniels coverup was already heated. The Dem leadership thought that by having Franken become a sacrificial lamb despite his entanglement was during his comic days, that Trump, would ultimately take a high road. Trump did not, and Dem leadership later voiced regret.

If we all, including corporations; were taxed at a simple ten percent, without loopholes or deductions , we could ditch the audit altogether. Just move that decimal point one place to the left; and done! This would eliminate tax fraud, cash flight, and perhaps on the negative side, the jobs of eleven million people working for the IRS, whose salaries would be eliminated and would also practically double the take for the Feds. The arcane construction of our tax system not only makes it imperitive to use a CPA, it makes the job of the auditor as complex as the CPA's. Hoisted by its own petard, the system can no longer manage its miscreants; so I"m begging anyone with influence to consider my formula. Corportions who presently can wiggle out of every dime; would under this formula; be paying billions as a group ; plus, for those fanatics on the Right, it's in the Bible: Isiaiah, 12/1; something about sheep.
I think your idea is sound, but 10% seems pretty idealistic; it would probably need to be in the 20-30 range. Also, the IRS would probably still need more employees; currently they are so understaffed the estimated tax gap from 2014-2016 (the most recent available estimate) is a cool half trillion. which doesn't even account for taxes lost to fraud, only the gap between taxes paid and income reported.
They should have taken care of the climate crisis back in the 70s, couldn't we sue these people who knew then and did nothing?
In your country, You can use deadly force if someone parks in the wrong driveway or even knock on your door, I hardly doubt some armed IRS agent is a big deal.
