I'm just going to drop the Deep Neptuneman Lore:
He started out as Quarrelman, the World's Greatest Wrestler (Who is SO LITERALLY Hulk Hogan.) Quarrelman was so good that he defeated EVERYONE and got really depressed because when he was Number 1, there wasn't any challenge left for him. Robin Mask was set to fight him and Quarrelman was like "Just no," and Robin Mask was like "yeah, you're right." With nowhere left to fight, Quarrelman jumps into the river Thames, only to awaken an ancient evil, the NEPTUNE KING, leader of the Perfect Supermen, who are so powerful that they exiled themselves to HEAVEN. Their only rules are "No weapons, Never show your back to an enemy and DEFEAT IS ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE"
Neptune King gave him his Neptune Mask and Quarrelman became Neptuneman while Neptune King became BIG THE BUDO. Sharing this power together they are powered by the very magnetic power of the Earth itself. They enter the Universal Tag-Team Tournament in disguise in grey half-Piccolo/half-Klansman suits calling themselves the HELL'S MISSIONARIES. They have a sick finisher where they basically lariat your mask off, disgracing you forever. They even unmask Robin Mask, filling him with great shame & later defeat Sunshine & Ashuraman's tag, the STRAY AKUMA COMBO. When Big the Budo takes a double-heel turn and uses a weapon against Kinnikuman, Neptuneman turns on him and self-destructs to destroy the oncoming army of Perfect Supermen coming to invade Earth.
BUT THAT DOESN'T STOP HIM. Neptuneman BREAKS OUT OF HELL to give sick assists to Kinnikuman as the mysterious The Samurai. After this, in Ultimate Muscle, he teams up with a Walrus Man to GO BACK IN TIME TO SAVE THE FIRST TAG-TEAM TOURNAMENT. Together, Neptuneman and the Walrus become THE HELL EXPANSIONS and Neptuneman unlocks his partner's WALRUS BLOODLUST. But Neptuneman's tired of collecting masks and now he's upgraded to collecting FACES. They end up fighting against the Hell's Bears which are Warsman and the BRUTALLY BLOODTHIRSTY Mammothman. The Walrus pulls a face turn and betrays Neptuneman, but Mammothman pulls a heel turn at the SAME TIME and joins up with Neptuneman and together they skin a walrus' face off and push Warsman's shit in. When the semi-finals come up it turns out that Neptuneman and Mammothman are working with the evil Time Supermen, Thunder & Lightning and their true master, SATAN.
Also, his theme song is called UNCROWNED EMPEROR!

I am always filled with a deep sadness & rage that Kinnikuman basically stopped being translated & sold in America after Ultimate Muscle went belly-up. They finished the series & then REstarted Kinnikuman to just have more crazy adventures...back in like 2012...and they just never translated (legally or otherwise) pretty much ANY of it...All this win & no one who can't read Japanese can enjoy it...

The songs actually play whenever a matchup is a major fight from the manga or show, it's a pretty neat touch.
Just wanted to pop in and remind people that Ramenman, the Chinese stereotype guy, once killed a Nazi by tearing him in half with the Camel Clutch.
It was deemed too brutal for kids so when the manga was turned into an anime they instead had him break the Nazi's back super hard before pounding his body into dough, making ramen out of the dough, and EATING HIM.

Like for example, Maxima using the Muscle Revenger, Brocken Jr being basically the inspiration for Heidern, Pentagon and Atlantis inspiring both The Amazon and Starman from the NES Pro Wrestling game, the Muscle Spark being taken for El Fuerte's Ultra 2 and many more.

+PresidentOwnage Yeah definitely: Colosseum Deathmatch, Muscle Tag Match/MUSCLE (It's even in this game), Scramble for the Throne (also in the game), Dirty Challenger, Muscle Fight, Generations/Galactic Wrestling, and preferably a proper revisit of this game with Pat and Liam on board.
This just proves that wrestling is the hypest, best, most dramatic, and sweatiest anime. It out-animes those Japanamations by a large amount. Ted Dibiase is a better heel than Light and Satsuki combined. This is fact you can not argue.

Fun fact: some of the characters, mostly the bad guys were sent in by fans and chosen by the creator, eiichiro oda from one piece even sent in a drawing called pandaman that was later used in one piece as a hidden gag in random places.
I sometimes imagine the Zaibatsu fighting each other in an Elimination Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Championship and it goes a little something like this:
The bell rings and Matt and Liam immediately try to fight each other fair and square while Woolie and Pat immediately roll out of the ring.
Knowing that it's his best chance of winning the match, Woolie looks underneath the ring and pulls out a steel chair. He then proceeds to roll back into the ring and try to hit Liam and Matt with said chair.
Pat, like the coward he is, stays on the outside, waiting for his opportunity to strike.
But, oh wait! It turns out that before the match started Matt and Liam decided to form an alliance before the match and stop fighting each other to gang up on Woolie.
Together, they manage to get the chair out of Woolie's possession, simultaneously kick him in the gut, and attempt to perform a double-suplex on him, but fail miserably due to Woolie's immense girth.
Woolie, thinking that he has enough strength to suplex the two of them, tries and ultimately fails due to the fact he decided to put his stat points into vitality instead of strength (even though vitality really doesn't do much in the long run), prompting the Matt/Liam alliance to perform a double- DDT on him instead (you know, since lifting him up really didn't work).
The next five minutes of the match is the Matt/Liam alliance beating up on Woolie. Liam performs a five-knuckle shuffle on the downed Woolie and as the green-dreaded monster pushed himself up to his feet to try and fight back against his two enemies, Matt inexplicably gets up on top of the turnbuckle and performs the move he recently gained the ability to do due to his rather successful diet: the flying-hurricanrana.
Being too heavy to flip over with mere leg strength, it simply throws Woolie towards an awaiting Liam, who is channeling strength from his senpai, John Cena.
Now possessing Cena-senpai's immense strength, Liam puts him up on his shoulders and performs a move he learned from said senpai, the AA or 'Attitude Adjustment', on Woolie.
Knowing that Woolie is down for the count, Liam simply puts a sneaker on top of Woolie's chest and lets the ref count.
1-2-3! The great Woolie is out of the match!
Thinking that he's going to keep teaming up with Matt to take down Pat, who has been watching the entire match go down from outside the ring, he turns towards the tiny, ginger-lack-of-haired coward, only to feel the cold sting of a steel chair hit the back of his skull.
Oh sweet babby Zach the Cat!
Matt just hit Liam with the chair they took from Woolie, who had exited the ring and started to slink back to his Woolie hole in shame, subconsciously knowing that he did not cheat hard enough to win.
Liam, too dazed by this sudden betrayal, simply lies where he falls and allows Matt to perform his finishing move: "The Goldust Leg Drop", which entails him jumping off the top rope and slam his ass right onto his opponent's sternum.
1-2-3! Liam "Kawaii on the streets, Senpai in the sheets" has been pinned into submission!
Seeing his opportunity to strike, Pat rushes into the ring as fast as his tiny legs would take him, clothes lining Matt from behind, prompting everyone in the audience to boo loudly at his cowardice (even though they all subconsciously like it).
Pat and Matt then proceed to fight each other for ten minutes, the momentum shifting from one pseudo-wrestler to another before a still refreshed Pat gains the upper-hand with a well-placed kick to the groin.
As Matt writes in pain from the strike to his jewels, Pat makes his way to a corner and prepares to spear his mask-wearing opponent (he's not strong enough to actually lift his opponent up, nor is he fast enough to do anything cool on the top ropes, but he is just cowardly enough to set his finishing move to one that can pulled out at any time and turn the tide of the match in an instant).
Everyone thinks he's going to win as he runs towards his groggy-looking adversary with his pale shoulder aimed at Matt's exposed stomach, but oh wait!
Matt suddenly lies flat on his back and wraps his arm around Pat's leg as he runs over him, performing a perfectly executed school boy on the yellow-bellied coward.
1-2-3! Matt is the new WWE championship! Once again proving that it doesn't pay to be a cheat-
"WOO!"
Wait, oh my... It can't be!
I-it's Mr. Money in the Bank RIC FLAIR!
Ric Flair then runs into the ring, hits Matt with the briefcase, cashes in his briefcase, and puts Matt into the Figure-4-Leg Lock.
Thirty seconds pass and Matt taps, RIC FLAIR IS THE NEW WWE CHAMPION!
Who could've possibly seen this turn events coming!
33mins doesn't give them game justice. This could have easily been an hour. This game has so creativity in it, it puts other wrestling games to shame. It felt like it ended too fast we only saw 10% of the roster and their specials looked amazing. XD

They misspelled the lizard guy's name. It should be Sneagator (sneaker + alligator). Also, he's from the Congo, not Brazil.
Aw man I would love to sit in with you guys and act as resident Kinnikologist. I actually own this game myself and Kinnikuman is my favorite manga, so hearing you guys speculate is pretty hilarious.

My god. I played the hell of this game. I practically did everything there is to do in this game.
The movelists are giant. Man, I think the only impossible move to pull out is the Kinnikuman Big Body's secrect ultra, because of the frame perfect timing.
If you ever play it again, I can explain all of the system. I FREAKING LOVE THAT GAME!
But a little explanation:
Blue Gauge: Your special gauge fills faster, when low on life your gauge gain is doubled and when on X-Factor you gain infinite supers/ex's.
Red Gauge: Your offence get's stronger, when low on life your damage doubles and when in X-Factor you get custom combo capabilities (Like the A-Groove in CVS or the V-ISM in SFA)
Green Gauge: Your defence get's stronger, when low on life you take half the damage and when in X-Factor you get Infinte Armor like Golden War Machine or Mech Zangief.
Blue Sparks mean EX Moves and follow the same rules of Square attacks
Yellow Sparks are Signature Moves/Super Moves, and follow the same rules of Triangle attacks
Red Sparks are Finishing Moves/Ultra Combos
Most Signature and Finishing Moves have special conditions to their inputs.
Some will have the condition of your opponent being with his back to the ropes, or you to be running, or being placed during a combo, or will start either a Rekka or allow for a follow up, or be a counter. You have to read the whole movelist to get a sense of that.
Also, Block works in 3 ways. There is normal block, with just X, Throw Breaker with Back+X and Parry with Foward+X. You can normal block, Throw Break and Parry Signature Moves, while Finishing Moves are also capable of being blocked, but they have way harder timing to block and can go through atleast 1 of the guards.
That is all of the basic things folks.
Some factoids that I'll clarify as a Kinnikuman fan who owns this game.
The attire that Kinnikuman wore in the intro is what he wore during the Throne Arc (specifically the manga colors while it was blue in the anime), the last arc of the original series where he has to fight in a tournament against the Five Fated Princes (Mariposa, Soldier, Big Body, Zebra, and Super Phoenix) to determine who becomes king of Planet Kinniku.
The intro song is "Kinnikuman Go Fight!" by Akira Kushida, the first opening theme of the anime. There are three other openings which include "Honoo no Kinnikuman", "Kinnikuman Senpuu/Sensation", and "Zudadan! Kinnikuman" (Which played during the Buffaloman/Super Phoenix fight)
The main menu actually has English, you just have to look at the glow behind the Japanese text.
The music can change based on which 2 characters are fighting, there are stage specific tracks while others always play when there's a Nisei character like Kevin Mask, a Fated Prince like Super Phoenix and Zebra, and one for when you have a match-up that happened in the series (ex. Kinnikuman vs. Buffaloman) with the right characters, the right costumes and/or the appropriate stage if available.
Black Hole is Pentagon's cousin, they even fought as as a team in a tag tournament later in the series in which Neptuneman and Big The Budo/Neptune King fought as the Hell Missionaries.
The blue stage is I shit you not, a tiny 5-story set of wrestling rings built inside Warsman's body which some of the matches between Kinnikuman's friends and Akuma Shogun's minions took place in.
OH SHIT SON! KINNIKUMAN GRAND PRIX 2! LETS GET SOME SATURDAY NIGHT FISTICUFFS. If you have not read Kinikkuman go read it. READ IT!
Oh and the announcer for the game is an actual Wrestling announcer in Japan.

I am so glad you guys finally gave this a look, I feared you would not get around to it since I knew you would love it. The only shame is there is no Baron Maximilian in this, all I can say is purple dreads. Also if you like that announcer I believe they are a professional wrestling announcer out there they got to do this. I could be wrong but I remember reading about it somewhere a while back. The songs can be tied to who is fighting, if they fought in the series there is special music for it. Personally it's a shame you never heard the song Muscle Docking.
I hope this has not disqualified the game from being on Friday Night Fisticuffs since I would just love to see Patt and Liam react to this as well. Also for shame guys, all this Kinnikuman and no showing the Kinniku Buster? For shame indeed... XD

Woooooah! Kinnikuman!!! I remember spending many a 100 yen playing the arcade game. Its great hearing the original theme song from the anime. Although, I wish you guys knew a bit more about Kinnikuman... I keep wanting to explain what you guys are missing out but you can't hear me. :P

If they checked the move list, they would have seen the street fighter commands and the party would have gotten crazier.
Aw yeah, motherfuckin' Kinnikuman up in here! Just some knowledge about this game, and the series for those not in the know: the sick special music that played during a few of the fights happens when certain characters who were in the same story arc fight each other, so if a fight happened in the manga, you get hype-ass music. What this means, is that they could have had Hustle Muscle playing, if they'd had a fight between Kevin and Mantaro. Or the Muscle Docking theme, if it had been something like Kinnikuman and Big the Budo. Not Muscle Sensation though, sadly enough.
Another thing is, since they didn't really know much about the series, they didn't pick the Canadian character, Kinnikuman Big Body. Whose entire purpose in the series was to get wrecked by Super Phoenix, so they missed the chance for a revenge match.
It really is a shame we probably won't get a PS3 or PS4 Kinnikuman game, 'cause I'd love to be able to just import one with an even bigger roster. I'd also love super hard a Kinnikuman RPG, if it were done well.
Am I the only one who thinks that The Punishment would make a goddamn amazing monster heel in modern WWE? Just the 4 seconds of him walking down to the ring in the intro with that awesome song playing made me more excited than the majority of the heels in WWE at the moment. Except for Kevin Owens, he's awesome!

Silly me I think I got that wrong about the fatal battle song. The name of the song is The Miracle of Muscle Docking and it's fantastic.
To those who're trying to figure out the style of this game, think of it as Tekken-Lite. You have full juggle strings, and special moves are all either one button press or circle motions, no charge. It's very lenient on the inputs, though; you can literally just roll your thumb around the pad and mash the special button to get some of the more powerful moves, like Kinnikuman's Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan chain grab.
There's also a full move list for each character in the pause menu, and the training mode is cool, too.
Keep up these guests on your episodes, SBF. Shit's hype.
