I liked MK Deception way more than I should have just because of the hype Fatalities... though with Mediocre gameplay.
This game shat all over Fatalities with that awful Create-a-Fatality system with the same mediocre gameplay.
But as a 12 year old, I was fascinated by the amount of characters, and the Konquest Mode. I had way more not bad times as I should have.

10:00 Pat was crazy trying to say that Guilty Gear kept fighting games alive in the mainstream. GG only sold about 140k copies while MK: Armageddon sold over 1 million. MK: Armageddon carried the genre on it's back when it was released.
I don't know why I keep coming back to this dead channel... Like I've rewatched the silent hill play-throughs like 4 times in both playlist and compilations. I wish there were more CZcamsr groups that were like this instead of hyper energy and putting on a mask, you guys were real and made content better by doing it together and being huge nerds, I watch the streams and wha happun and woolie vs and since I'm turning 19 in like a month you guys have really been in my life with the first video being vampire rain... Thanks for the awesome community and over a decade of entertainment

Nero Metal But unlike Inafune a game wasn’t made behind his back. MegaMan X6 was not supposed to be a thing. MegaMan X5 was supposed to be the last X game as Inafune wanted to work on the Zero series.

I'm just gonna say it, the Chaos realm is dumb, but its also the realm that is the most fun and my favorite of all time. THE FACT THAT IT MAKES NO SENSE BEING A CLERIC OF CHAOS IN THE REALM OF CHAOS MAKES HIM CHAOTIC WITHIN THE REALM! Even chaos has order, and order eventually has chaos.

They call it the realm of chaos, but that doesn't mean that is has to be the absolute apex of maximum conceivable chaos. It could just be some place that a guy from Outworld visited once and thought it was pretty crazy.

Every few months, I always find myself coming back to this video. To me, this is the peak of what Superbestfriends was to me. A bunch of friends talking about stupid stuff that doesn't matter and play a terrible game. The entire discussion about the cleric of chaos still makes me laugh to this day. Thanks for all the laughs and always making it feel like I was actually hanging with the boys

I have a lot of nostalgia for this era of Mortal Kombat. As a legitimate fighting game it's completely broken, but as a 'beat the shit out of your brother' game, it's pretty damn good. And I enjoyed the story-mode, for what it was. Even enjoyed the far inferior Konquest mode of Deception, before Jade Empire came out.

This is why elder scrolls has their various realms of oblivion all sorted right. Their closest thing to a "Realm of Chaos" is a realm of Madness which is more stable in the fact that Madness does have a measure of stability to it. But the rules can change daily, the landscape can shift(In theory) from day to day, and they only thing truly certain is that your reality is forever at the whims of Sheogorath.

Actully I find it so amazing the Darth Maul fight to be one of the greatest things from starwars from the worst of the movies.
The Darth Maul fight was awesome, but Phantom Menace was not the worse of the prequels. Clone Wars takes that fucking title and runs away with it.

Also the reason Matt likes this game more than the rest is because he did all the fun shit, that character creator (should be Kombatant Kreator) is mad fun, especially picking all the moves for your fighter, I want that to come back.

The worst part about this game to me was that ALL of the endings of Deception pointed towards the next big thing being "The One Being" or whatever, like the god of all gods showing up to start wrecking shit.
Instead it was a lame story about Blaze being a surprise ultimate life form and everyone wanted to go to the top of the pyramid.

Also Matt, MK Armageddon came out in 2006, it's even newer than Tekken 5, not 4.

Look, I don't know why everyone wants to get all nostalgic but Deadly Alliance and Deception were some of the best Mortal Kombat games ever. I'm tired of people suddenly wanting to pretend that the 3D games ruined the MK legacy somehow.
They weren't, they kept fighting games alive and were fun in a stupid way,but MK 9 and X had to give glory back to the franchise

I generally enjoyed the Konquest Mode for all three of the DADA games. Except for Rival Schools, fighting games just weren't story rich way back then.
