    Tilting the motor up so the extended thrust line (going forward from the motor) crosses near the centre of gravity will also reduce the pitch down tendency when power is applied. However an untitled motor would give up a bit of efficiency in cruise.
    Your approach here of using flaps and changing the centre of lift, is good one. Gives you both good takeoff/landing options while having great medium range cruise performance. Well done!

      The motor is tilted! But it’s tilted this much that it’s pitching down quite alot.
      I tried an untilted motor once in the past that was a disaster.

    On the high speed turns, it looks like it is sliding or drifting through the air. Not sure if that is an aerodynamic principle or not, but nice plane!

      I don’t have any OSD’s or amp-meters, but fight times have been +38min with this style of flying so I’d say around 5.5-6.5 amps or so.

    V tail makes no sense for stol .. you need T tail and big elevator to keep the authority V is really bad when it comes to stall just doesn't have the lift necessary

      But most of the lift comes from the main wings,
      But V-Tails aren't the best for slow speed handling, indeed a T- or Convential tail.
      As long as I have big throws if needed, the elevator control is fine.
