- Hey y'all! So its officially Summer and if you're a natural, you know what that means.Its wash and go season! Wash and goes are super easy, quick and convenient to achieve and if its done properly, it can last an entire week.
I have to admit, Im not fond of wash and goes since the big chop but I've been experimenting with some new products and found a new love for wash and goes ever since. Camille Rose Naturals sent these products to me to use and review and I must say that Im happy to have the opportunity to share with you all products that I love. There is always one part black people do and that's making more volume into their hair.
I think it's so funny because natural hair has the most volume and we still use a comb to make it even more. I love it and I can't wait to do it when my braids are finally out!
Began my natural hair journey in January of this year. I cut off my relaxed hair two nights ago and was literally left dumbfounded as to how next to proceed. So glad someone finally made a video with the sweet ginger cleansing rinse! I was using the clean rinse shampoo but it is out of stock. I will for sure be trying this new one now!

You're my hair twin! (In terms of curl pattern and hair length/ style). My hair has more of an Afro texture and tends to frizz more (high porosity woes haha). But any who love your vids ! Keep up the good work !

Thanks for responding and that is so true for me too...I did a awesome wash and go last night and I noticed when I put oil on it, it lost some of the definition/frizz....I don't want to use silicones tho, wish it was another alternative...Thanks again

I'm so glad you have continued to share your journey. I remember your videos when you had red hair so you sharing with us that you cut your hair after having damage and going through the growing process again is very relatable to me because I had the same thing happen and am at the same stage.

My go to style has been the wash and go also. Recently I've started using the praying hands method instead of raking to avoid so much shrinkage; doesn't give AS MUCH definition but it's still really defined. I'm about 13 months post big chop/ 17 months total so my hair is still a little shorter than yours

My go to summer style is definitely wash n gos. I have a question. I noticed that your hair is very defined with water alone. When I get out of the shower, my hair is frizzy in some areas. Do you have any tips on how to tame the frizz before adding a styler?
The conditioner helped a lot with the texture and feel of my hair right out of the shower. What's going to help you before adding a styler is a leave in. A leave in is essential for frizz because it moisturizes the hair.
Idk if this will be helpful but I do my wash n go's in the shower. Granted I only use three products and it's a very simple process but in the shower while it's soaking wet is when your hair has the least frizz.
Also, if you're rinsing your hair with hot or warm water it causes frizz because your cuticles are open from the heat.
Hey thanks so much for sharing these videos! Your hair is gorgeous! I just wanted to ask you though, when you don't do 'wash and go's' what do you do with your hair please, as in how do you style it after conditioning? I had a flick through all of your videos and couldn't seem to find anything. I'm in the UK and it's quite cold now, so wash and go's for me would just get mushed under my hats. 😫 do you use the LOC or LCO method when you don't wash and go? Please let me know, or better still do a video! Thanks in advance.

You say not to touch your hair when it's wet but how would i be able to stretch it out because i dont want it short

For a 'wash and go' hairstyle shampoo your hair (focusing mainly on your roots), then condition your hair (focusing mainly in the ends), comb you hair while the conditioner is still in and then rinse it out with cold water. Dry you hair with a microfiber towel (or T-Shirt) and apply a leave in conditioner. Finally, rake a gel or curl cream through your hair to define you curls and let your hair air dry. This is what I do I hope that helped
I'm kinda scared to dp this because when I wash my hair it poofs up easily and my hair is a different texture from her's I don't want to leave it over night and it becomes all poofed up and nappy so what do I do?
