trouble maker It’s better doing it that way i understand what you mean. But it’s difficult trying to record clear footage has the mantis is chasing its food and u’ve got to watch the reflection from the glass or plastic from your enclosure. Running a youtube channel isn’t easy lol

galaxies rage yah.. its because he doesn't film the animals actually eating the whole thing... for some reason there are people that click the video and then are disgusted to see an animal get killed.... ugh...... it's freaking nature.. get over yourselves
Syndan yea I don't like watching them get eaten alive but like you said it's nature and animals don't have a concept of cruelty so what can they do to stop it.
Beautiful mantis, they best part of feeding is watching them lock on to the prey. My mantises refuse to take food from me so it is kinda nerve racking whether they will eat or not.
that ain't big, its large. I just stumbled across one in western Queensland at 4 inches and apparently they get way bigger in the rainforest in northern Queensland
So what am i afraid of... Mostly clowns. And this, a hideous mantis... 😱.. No really some people are afraid of it, but just won't admit it.. It's those pincers! 😨
Those white objects all over this cockroach is parasite mites. All insects carry them, once the host is dead they fall off to find another host to feed on.
What would you suggest for a good starter bug? I have been thinking about getting something easy so I can see if I'm going to kill it or not XD prefer it to not be too expensive either
He's a butcher on CZcams sounds exactly like you lol, I am guessing you both live in the same area. He has a channel called the Scott Rea Project. Btw you have a beautiful Mantis, I also own a mantis but mine is an African lined mantis (sphodromantis Lineola)
Dino Josh343 breeding is an extreme challenge especially for carnivorous bugs. The setting (lellellel) has to be right and the female has to not eat the male :/ It's more dangerous in captivity because the male had nowhere to go and escape, they have to be watched carefully to make sure it goes right.
probably one of nature's coolest things is watching a mantis hunt and stalk it's prey. great vid mate 😉
This has to be my favourite video yet. I was even getting excited watching the mantis stalking it's prey.
She's gorgeous.
The way she stalks her pray, such a magnificent and beautiful mantis :D

I'm not a disliker but animals other than ourselves have been observed in altruistic behavior so it's not a big leap to cruelty, if a leap at all.
this comment aged well
damn that was quick! i think they strike just as fast as a rattle snake
How they stalk and hunt their prey is creepy yet fascinating.

what a beautiful creature
Cool :)
That roach appears to be covered in mites or some sort of bugs, can that endanger her health?, if so I would reconsider your roach connect.
Wadda know dinner just dropped in
